Hitman 3 Ghost Mode

In this guide, you will learn how to easily add Ghost Mode to Hitman 3, and how to restore it to Hitman 2 in an even simpler way.

Important information to start with

Player search is not available, so it's a good idea to have someone to play with.

Ghost Mod only works on the Steam version, it will not work on the Epic Games Store version.
There are two versions of Hitman 3 on Steam (paid and demo), unfortunately you must have the same version to play together.
Paid version players will only play against another paid version player.
Demo players will only play against another demo player.

In the game itself, your opponent's silhouette will be black.

If you have Hitman 2, you can also play Ghost Mode in it, just start from the "Installing Local Ghost Patcher" section, and in the last step, instead of starting Hitman 3, start Hitman 2.

Installing Simple Mod Framework

Step 1: Go to page Nexus Mods[www.nexusmods.com] and then create an account, or log in to it if you have one.
Step 2: Go to page Simple Mod Framework[www.nexusmods.com], download the main file from there.
Step 3: Run the downloaded file.
Step 4: Follow the installer's instructions, i.e. select the place on the disk where Hitman 3 is installed.

Installing Ghost Mode

Now we move on to the actual installation.

Step 1: Go to Ghost Mode[www.nexusmods.com] and download the main file from there.
Step 2: Launch the "Simple Mod Framework" program, enter the "Enable/disable mods" tab.
Step 3: Click "Add Mod" and then select the previously downloaded file.
Step 4: Then click on the "Enable" button, next to the "Ghost Mode" title, then the "Apply" button, now wait a few moments for everything to load.
Step 5: After the loading is complete, you can disable "Simple Mod Framework".

Installing Ghost Mode Images

In this chapter, I describe the installation of one additional mod that replaces stylistically incompatible images from the Ghost Mode game mode in the style of Hitman 2 with images created in the style of Hitman 3.

Step 1: Go to site Ghost Mode Images[www.nexusmods.com] and download the main file from there.
Step 2: Launch the "Simple Mod Framework" program, enter the "Enable/disable mods" tab.
Step 3: Click "Add Mod" and then select the previously downloaded file.
Step 4: Then click on the "Enable" button, next to the "HITMAN 3 Ghost mode images" title, then the "Apply" button, now wait a few moments for everything to load.
Step 5: After the loading is complete, you can disable "Simple Mod Framework".

Installing Local Ghost Patcher

Unfortunately, since ghost mode is not available directly from IOI, in both Hitman 3 and Hitman 2, you will need to connect to a community/custom server.

Step 1: Click on this Local Ghost Patcher[gitlab.com] link, it will start downloading right away.
Step 2: Open the downloaded file, place the application found in it in a convenient place, for example on the desktop.
Step 3: Launch this application, select one of the available servers, click the "Re-patch" button.
Step 4: Do not disable this application, now you can enable Ghost Mode in Hitman 3 and play with a friend (as long as the friend also follows this guide).
