The Before Times

In the times before the arrival of Black, Stick Fight was a game, 'the game' in fact, for stickfights. Each of the four colors are perhaps referencing Alan Becker's 5 stickmen, although where orange happens to be is, as of yet, unknown. In the making of stickfight, the souls of the founding stickmen were jumbled about and diffused into the game. These permutations of the colors are not the founders, rather parts of them. Yellow, a snake whisperer by heart and a somewhat calm stickman. Blue, obsessed with making a legacy and being seen as a pro. Red, a bit of a fatalist and sometimes comedic. Green, calculated and careful, he dominates (if) given enough time. Some stickmen have risen above mere color, as their avatar and name had become more a representation of them than their color, but they still remain as part of the founders. Zilotron, a dragon by soul and a master wielder of spears--often seen wearing a rice hat, and Kaitahuri, a talented sword wielder, but seemingly without an element, and notably contains two minds. These times were simple and enjoyable, but soon, everything would change.

The Elemental Empowerment

Due to Yellow's calm nature, Zilo informed him to increase the others connection to their element, although he did not specify why. Yellow whispers over a few snakes and has Green absorb their elemental energy. Green is associated with snakes and elemental energy is merely a manifestation of one's ability to wield the associated element. When elemental energy enters one's body it seeps into one's mind and beams brightly out of their eyes. This gives them the ability to see something's elemental energy, notably lightening their eyes as well. Stickmen are mere conscious manifestations of their elements. A snake, a ground tile, an ice block, or a lava pool are simply unconscious forms, arranged differently as to be unconscious. By absorbing elemental energy, they increase their own arrangement's strength, making them more formidable on the battlefield. Notably, one who does not have an affinity for an element is incapable of absorbing it. After the others gained some ability to hone their elemental empowerment, Zilo brings up the news to the others. A long forgotten myth, at times a joke, figure in the Stick Fight community, Black, was making a return and they were going to need some help.

The Singularities

Singularities: Conscious arrangements of elemental energy with an abnormally high density. The singularity of ice, Snowtop, the singularity of snakes, King Snake, the singularity of terrain, the Box God, and the singularity of lava, Lavonic. Each has remained in Stickfight for eternities, but has used their elements less and less, for they lacked anything in which to fight against. When one uses their element less, it increases its imprecision and dulls its capabilities. To use an element, one must fight for something, whether to increase their knowledge, build a legacy, become the best, satisfy themselves, or what have you. Blue wished to form ties with the singularities—him and his legacy nonsense—informing Snowtop of Black's return. The Box God, King Snake, and Snowtop arrived to Zilo and the others but Lavonic was missing. Kaitahuri was spying on Black, and saw Lavonic being gaslighted by Black's infection. Black was infecting Lavonic's mind, convincing him over to using malicious mods, killing the soul once there and supplanting it with an echo chamber. Kaitahuri could not intervene, for he had not discovered his element, nor refined it enough to fight someone of this power. Zilo felt time crushing in, Black was coming to purge the game, now, although, Zilo had a contingency plan. If he can't train everyone individually, he'd ought to combine them and have their combined consciousnesses fight; soul merging.

The Interwoven Personalities

Kaitahuri and Zilotron are distinct souls meaning that they aren't part of a set. In other words, they are too distinct to merge with others. The four primary elements of stickfight can be combined to form, at least temporarily, a union of all or some of the elements. The souls of Yellow, Red, Blue, and Green as well as the three singularities left combine with a grandiose flash of white light into the interwoven souls of Grey and Aqua. Some are bestowed weapons, other new abilities only attained by the combination. As the energy of the scenario dissipates into the void, their identities solidify. The time they have before Black's purging is slim, but long enough to unwind the metaphorical weeds which have grown over their elements. Kaitahuri went to monitor Black and Zilotron observed the match. Grey wants to prove himself as a worthy opponent and Aqua wants to show off of his own legacy, but both of their skills appear to have been degraded. It is unknown by how much, so it is to be determined in a duel of skill.

The Duel of Skill

The Battle of Bloodshed

Kaitahuri makes it in time, conveniently after the duel, but it wouldn't matter in the end. Black and Lavonic arrive almost sauntering in prepared to trim the resistance off their path towards purging Stickfight of skill. One cannot destroy a soul, while it can be degraded, to fully lose its effects it must be removed. If a stickman feels as if he has failed or lost his purpose, his soul will be removed. Kaitahuri and Zilotron have the best shot at defeating Black and Lavonic, neutralizing them forever, or, they may be defeated for good, another bastion fallen. But, they had underestimated the power of the Nexus. Zilotron managed to defeat Lavonic, but Black showered him with a thousand pistol shots. Two slots were open to new players in the match after the menticide of Lavonic and Zilotron. And despite Zilotron's orders, Grey and Aqua entered the match, providing extra support for Kaitahuri. Of which they told him to leave the match and to get help, that he was- (their souls also died).

The Aftermath

The others all died, but Kaitahuri managed to get out alive. He thinks he's failed. His mind collapses, his soul almost fully collapsing along with it, but something curious prevents it from fully caving in. Kaitahuri is not one, but rather two souls. Kaita is the one who consciously controls the body and mind, and Huri is locked behind a threshold of Kaita's biology. Kaita nearly collapses but Huri shows him something he had never realized. His element... was creation. His friends had to die for the threshold to be broken and for him to be shown this. It was necessary to unlock an ability strong enough to oppose even Nexus. It wasn't over. Stickfight wasn't dead, not yet. He had not failed. The threshold reseals itself quickly however. So to come to another epiphany... well, something even worse would have to happen. To this, Kaitahuri knew he would need to work this ability before he could use it for good, and to end this once and for all...
