Bendy and the Dark Revival - Basic Hints, Advanced Tricks, & Boss Tips
Autorstwa: Fierce1
I have decided to make a guide, but I will do my best to avoid spoilers for the late-game. For now I can definitely offer some tips to keep in mind for the early and mid game that will help throughout the game. I'll keep working on it and add more overtime. Any spoilers will be avoided or kept to a minimum for the time being.

Welcome back to the Ink
It's been a long time, but here we are... Back in the ink filled studio of our nightmares.
For now this guide is meant to offer stuff to keep in mind as you begin your journey into the inky depths of this Hell and help with all the terrors that await.
I definitely WILL add more information to this guide over time, but for now it's best to keep it simple, because I certainly don't want to spoil the fun for anyone. NOW... Let's dive in!
The Basics
1- How to handle dying - Against most enemies, when they kill you you just respawn at the nearest ink dispenser station. Simple enough, and your objective progress is usually maintained, though enemies may have either stayed around or respawned. There is also a second way to die, and it occurs commonly when you don't find a place to hide in time... In that case, you don't respawn, you're full blown dead and have to reload a save or checkpoint. So when you get a warning... HIDE! Also, it doesn't hurt to save often.

2- Do NOT waste resources on those Gent Safe-n-Sound station tickets. Get maybe one or two for in case of emergencies, but truth be told there's so many places to get resources that you shouldn't really need to use those tickets, and the resources that go into making them also go toward upgrading something FAR FAR more useful, so don't waste resources on making too many tickets. You could always go the "save-check-reload-skip" approach to see if anything in them is worth it, but usually you're better off passing, and again just 1 or 2 tickets at a time is more than enough, especially since you're going to find them scattered about on your journey anyway.

3- Another "Do not waste" tip: Don't feel compelled to spend all the tokens on vending machines or eat all the food in sight (except for the Bacon Soup obviously). Practically nowhere you go in the game once combat is introduced is visited only once, and I'm not talking about just going back for secrets and treasures later on. Also, even if you clear an area out, enemies CAN reappear to keep tension up. They're not hard to kill, but you may run out of coins and food fast if you aren't careful. There's an achievement for spending the tokens and eating lots of food, but I'm just saying don't waste it in the early game. You WILL definitely reach points where a vending machine feels like a gift from God, and it sure would suck if you had no coins for that machine wouldn't it?

4- As far as I know you can't kill the 4th one. She's annoying, and seemingly impossible to hit. Don't bother, save your food for after her attacks, and all you need to do is side-step her when she comes after you and you'll be fine. Having said that, you CAN bypass letting her out, and she will never show up in-game in that case, but if you DO unleash her and beat the game, it gets you an achievement.

5- Aim for the head. Obviously.

6- Using a sneak attack restores some health. Sometimes enemies drop food too, but the sneak attack works every time.

7- No matter how fast you click or press the buttons, the max speed of swinging your weapon is set in stone. You can hold down the attack button to get the same result as you would mashing it. No need to hurt your thumbs.

8- No matter how far you go when you use the ability, it counts as completely spending itself and has to fully recharge for the same amount of time. Meaning if you try to use it while being chased, you won't be able to use it in rapid succession.

9- Barrels and boxes CAN be broken to make new hiding places. Might as well swing at everything at least once just to be sure. You'll catch on to what WILL and what will not save you when it's time to hide.

10- His appearances are on a looped timer. I'm not going to even bother trying to give an exact guess at the time between them, because that would make things boring, but still... you can keep that in mind when exploring and always be aware of hiding spots for when it's about that time.

11- It's more helpful to carry a full charge for doors than anything else. Nothing worse than having to go through a bunch of trials only to reach the end realizing you're unable to open the doors, and have to go back, recharge, and then go back to where you were... Effectively taking 3 trips to open a single door.

12- If thou shouldst find a Boris poster, thou shouldst always try to use one's ability on it, you never know what you might find.

13- If you save in an area with Lost Ones patrolling, be warned that if you reload that save, and if you were in a place where they CAN reach you, they likely will automatically be locked on and rush you the second you load in. Choose where you save wisely.

14- Be aware of your surroundings, attacks can come from anywhere... (General yes, but you'll pick up what I mean after they start showing up. By the way, you can't off them either now that I think about it. Though you might want to watch where they run to. HINT HINT Some places where YOU can hide, someone else can occupy it first. Be observant and you should be able to tell pretty easily most of the time.)

15- You can find notes and recordings scattered all around, and obviously you may or may not be able to read them at the time when you find them. You can therefore pause and listen or re-read them at your own leisure whenever you want.

16- Other than food, anything that is collectible, SHOULD be collected immediately when you have the chance. Unleash your inner kleptomaniac! Just recall that you need to be smart with what you choose to spend your resources on. Be aware though: some objects do NOT highlight despite being collectible or able to be interacted with. If you go hunting for books, make an extra save file before you collect the last one. There's a bonus ending for collecting them all, but it blocks the true ending if you do. It's weird like that.

17- You can actually use your ability while in vents to get through them faster.

18- There's an achievement that unlocks when you get the "secret ending". How do you get it? At the very start of the game, where you are first prompted to get up from the desk to go get coffee. Don't do anything. Just leave it there for... 20 minutes. Yes I'm serious, and then the ending will unlock. Congratulations you beat the game's "secret ending" and unlocked an achievement! Though another fair warning: It has potential spoilers thanks to the credits, though unless you actually sit there like a hawk for +20 minutes straight, you aren't going to be concerned about that at that point.

19- Weirdly enough to list yet another prologue tip this far into the guide (I prefer to re-order once I have more info IN the guide so that I can sort by section properly... Anyway...) After you get up to fetch that cup of coffee look around for a few balls scattered around the office. Collect 3, and then throw them somewhere that they can be washed. Do that, and you'll meet someone special.

20- When looking for secrets and hidden treasures, or even the way forward, sometimes you'll get so turned around you just want to scream toward the heavens... Turns out that's actually a good idea several times throughout the game.

21- There ARE missable treasures and loot that need to be found, because if you don't grab them when you reach that part of the game, you can't go back to get them later. Number 20... REMEMBER THAT. Plan your saves carefully.

22- Vending machines give less the more health you have, and more the less health you have. Either way though, you CAN leave food in them for later on if you ever return, and thus save some tokens later on.

23- It costs 5 batteries to charge up at a station. You can actually leave a station charged and just like with the vending machines, return and use it later. However, I'm not saying you should leave EVERY single station charged, because you'll run out of batteries quickly. I'm saying if you know there's a place that you'll need to charge up quickly, because of nearby dangers, then yes leave it charged after each time you charge up there, so that you don't have to linger while danger approaches.

24- When you exit hiding spots, be careful of how close enemies are even if they're not looking your way, sometimes you can exit a hiding spot, not even move and they'll immediately turn around to kill you. To avoid this, you CAN actually exit and go into crouch immediately to start getting distance or a kill
The Advanced
Nice try! I told you I can't get into the advanced details without spoilers, so this section isn't going to be offering much for the time being.

Instead, I shall give my generic review of it as a means to fill up space for any others seeking the spoiler hints.

It was good... Very good. Quite fun too. Definitely a proper sequel to the first and addressed a few gripes I had had with it. I hope this too gets an extra developer mode unlock like the previous one, but I only just beat it, so one step at a time I suppose. We'll see.

What? I told you it was going to be generic. Oh don't worry all this will all be replaced with more proper details and useful info once more people have had the chance to play through it themselves. I'm not sure what kind of timeline I'll take when addressing it, though I suppose one way of putting it is: Once someone like Markiplier plays through it all the way, the cat will pretty much be out of the bag by then don't you think?

I would also like to mention I'm planning to add some images too for better guidance, but for that I will likely need to replay through the game to get better shots. So please bear with me on that front.

I think this joke section has gone on enough now. Here, have an easy advanced one: Remember what I said about resource management? Particularly the tokens for food? Some boss fights have a way to get food, but they're the most expensive food dispensers in the game, hence saving early pays later down the line.

For real though:

When you reach the flashback, make sure to look around and scour the place from TOP to bottom. There's at least 1 memory, book, and tape recording in there, and if you miss them, there's no way to collect them later. You can only return to a previous save or start the game over if you want to collect them all.

When you find Big Steve, go fetch him his favorite food. It's a bit far, but I promise it will be worth it.

Speaking of the area where you go to GET his food, there's a secret area with a Thick Ink canister and a hidden doorway down and to the right of it. The radio is the key. Be quick, use the crouch warp technique to get there asap, because once it turns off the door closes.

After you unlock the ability to teleport AND fast travel, you can basically go from one end of the entire game's map (the very first room in the studio all the way to the final boss' room). The good news is, Bendy doesn't show up in the later-game areas. There's reasons for that, but bad news is that's also why he can appear just about anywhere and anytime in the early to mid game areas. Keep that in mind when back-tracking.

When walking around the City, there's a bunch of little pots scattered about the area. Divided into 7 in one section and 3 in the other. Smash them all then look up. You seemingly only get 1 shot to see it. Strange considering you used to have 72 hours.

Keepers can prevent you from hiding in certain places if they have spotted you, but a good way around this is to teleport out of their reach.

Keepers can also be stunned by using double charges from the Maximized Gent Pipe (meaning hit the shock button twice). It doesn't last long though, and they can still take you out before you even swing, so approach with care.

Keepers CANNOT be banished. Even when you max out all of Audrey's abilities it won't work.

It's entirely possible to fast-travel to escape the ink demon when you are warned to hide, though don't bet on it saving you at the very last second unless you want to risk a glitch.

When you go hunting for the Illusion of Living books for the achievement, make sure you have a save file BEFORE you collect the last one. After you get it, head for the lab and look for a nice seat to watch the insanity unfold.

There's a special ticket piece hidden on the table when Alice Angel tested you. There's a second ticket piece near Heidi's hiding spot on a counter. Collect both of these then go to the rest station. I recommend saving before you actually get there. You're going to want an encore.
The Bosses
First and foremost, just about every boss in the game has 2 ways to kill you. One is through attacks in which case you'll respawn nice n easy, but the second is the same as if you don't hide in time. You die and have to reload. Now let's meet the Bosses:

1- The Butcher Gang & The '4th One'

And THAT is why you shouldn't open every box.
The Butcher Gang appear throughout the game, especially early on, and while they aren't exactly bosses, they cannot be permanently killed by any means, you can only either damage them enough to scare them off, run around to avoid them long enough to where they get tired and retreat on their own, or get into a hiding spot and wait them out. As mentioned, they specialize in ambushes from holes in the ceiling, ink dispensers (where you respawn), and even hide in lockers and attack when you open them (though the doors visibly shake, so you CAN tell if you look carefully). This just leaves the '4th One', the ghosted one. Literally, she's a ghost and as such she can appear seemingly anywhere anytime, though it's usually when you stand still in a secluded area for too long. When she shows up she just dashes forward with her arms swinging. Doesn't hurt much, but it can get annoying. You can bypass her box but doing so skips an achievement

2- The Ink Demon - Who could it be?

Surprise surprise! He's back and you can't kill him. It's more a problem when trying to return to previous areas, but once he starts showing up, he'll appear every few minutes, and when you get the warning, you have about 10 seconds to enter a hiding place otherwise he instantly appears and consumes you, forcing you to have to reload from a checkpoint or save. Plan accordingly as you go.

3- Lord Amok - The signs were all there...

More of a mini-boss if you want to be technical. He's going to sick his 2 followers on you first then descend from his throne to fight you himself. Bash his ink brains out and usurp his throne, and you'll get access to all his treasures and a switch needed to progress. Long live Amok!

4- Crawler King - (Image pending)
More or less the real first boss fight of the game that you can win, but also very easy to get overwhelmed in as well. See all those Ridley Scott's Alien egg-sacks all over the place? Those will keep spitting out little ones to come attack you. You CAN knock the egg-sacks out, but they will eventually revive. Avoid touching them at the very least and that should make less of them active to spit out enemies at you. The little ones are taken down with 1 hit, but them being tiny, jumping around, and swarming can be tricky to deal with. Good news is you have a coffee dispenser that fully restores health for 15 tokens (remember what I said about saving tokens for later?) AND an open electric outlet that lets you freely recharge your weapon anytime. But, back to the BIG one: It's pretty straightforward, just keep bashing or zapping it, but avoid it's lunges and stay away from its mouth. After getting some solid damage in, it'll usually jump up on the ceiling and then shoot some of its "children" at you... gross. It'll do that a few times before hopping down and you just rinse repeat till it dies.

Something you'll find helpful later is that you CAN go back up the elevator shaft later to backtrack, but you need to be quick and precise with warping, because the egg-sacks will never stop spitting out little ones anytime you come back into the room. However, that can be a blessing if you're looking to farm the "spend 500 tokens" or "defeat 25 enemies with shock pipe" achievements, because you can endlessly spit tokens into the coffee dispenser anytime you take a little damage, free infinite recharges for your Gent, AND an endless supply of enemies to shock to death. Though I recommend saving BEFORE wasting tokens this way as you keep the achievement after you unlock it, no need to truly waste your coins.

5- Alice Angel - This ain't no Wonderland

That's right, she's back, and she's packin' heat. Hers is a 2 parter fight this time. First, you need to solve her riddle by speaking to the 6 people around the table. I'm not going to tell you the answer, because I'm not here to spoon-feed it to you. It's not even that hard, though there IS another guide that tells you the exact combo if you want to nail it first try for sure (and/or you're boring).
I believe in you though! YOU GOT THIS! IT'S BIG BRAIN TIME!

After you solve her riddle, 2 things will happen, first you'll get rushed by lost ones (obviously they weren't keen on being electrocuted in your place), and second Alice will start using Tom's gun to try and turn you into Swiss cheese. Get to cover quickly. There's plenty of places to avoid her shots from, but if you get stuck in the open she can gun you down pretty fast. You need to climb up to the second level on each side with the charged gent to open doors leading to special switches that open a door that you can go through to sneak up behind her. Stealth is key in this fight. Gun beats pipe at a distance, but if you get close you can take her by surprise. Use your warp to go from cover to cover, there's a charge station AND a vending machine in the room, so as long as you have the resources, she won't be too hard to take down.

6- The Skipper aka Wilson
Ahooooooooooooooooooy theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrreeeee!
Wilson is the bad guy!? What a surprise!?! Ok so, this is another 2 parter. First you need to disable the 4 towers so you can use your abilities again. To do that, you have to get Wilson to throw the anchor at the panels, exposing them for you, so you can use the charged Gent pipe to short each of them out. I recommend just running from panel to panel and having him expose all 4 of them before you shut any of them down, because after you shut down 2, you'll be swarmed by mutated lost ones (don't loot, they're your only shot at health pick-ups in part 2). Also, after you shut down 2 he will start throwing gears at you between throwing his anchor. Neither is hard to dodge. Just keep moving, and if you heeded my advice all 4 panels should already be exposed and you won't need to wait. Oh, but you may want to leave one of the panels further away from him as the last one to shut down, because...

For Part 2, Wilson will come after you, and attempt to strike or grab you. If he strikes you, you take damage, if he grabs you, you are eaten and have to start the entire fight over, avoid getting too close to him. Now that you can dash/warp, use that to dodge around or behind him. After a few misses he'll go to the center of the room and start swinging the anchor. On the 4th rotation, he'll swing at you. Jump and/or use the dash/warp to leap over this hit and you'll be fine. Now's the time to strike at Wilson directly. Go in front of him and start smacking his real head (obviously... see...) After about 3 or so hits, he'll shriek, get back up, and then just repeat this process a couple more times before you put him down for good.

7- The Ink Demon
I'm not going to say anything about this fight. It's best experienced for yourself. I will however say one thing: there's more you can do, than what the game explicitly TELLS you. Try more than one button.
Good luck on your descent!
That'll do for now, I hope this helps, and if you have anything you think I missed or need to mention, clarify (without spoilers of course), or change, let me know and I shall look into it.

Be sure to rate up and fav.

@Sheeper_Cal Firstly, use and when typing spoilers on here so that you can actually HIDE the spoilers, but they can be seen by someone choosing to hover over. Like mine. To answer your question here's my hint: Do you have the ability yet? Chances are you should. It allows you to reach FAR and HIGH places... Just need to find the right vantage point to get there.
