The Career Overwiev
WP is a tank/support career and unlike Sister of the Thorn (SotT), WP was well balanced out of the gate. WP does his job well, bonking rats on the frontline, while still being limited in certain aspects of the game. He is also a melee only career, meaning he has no access to range outside of bombs.

Career Skill - Shield of Faith:
Shield of Faith grants him or an ally a shield of invulnerability for five seconds and when the timer is up will explode causing a shockwave that will deal burn damage over time (Dot) to nearby enemies hit.

Passive Ability - Righteous Fury:
When WP is in melee he will gain fury for every enemy killed near him (the more health the enemy has the more fury WP gets) once Saltzpyre reaches max fury then he will deal 20% more damage, but he will lose his stacks of fury passively if there are no enemies that are killed around him.

Perks:
Incorruptible - 100% curse resistance
Enemy of Chaos - 30% damage against super-armour
Implacable - Damage dealt to Saltzpyre is reduced by 40%, however, half of the damage reduction (20%) is dealt as damage over time to Saltzpyre. This DoT cannot kill Warrior Priest.
The Weapons
WP has access to six melee weapons: The Holy Greathammer, Paired Skull-Splitters, Flail and Shield, Skull-Splitter Hammer, Skull-Splitter and Blessed Tome, and Skull-Splitter and Shield.

The Reckoner Great Hammer
The holy greathammer is large, clunky, and hits like a truck. It is WP's best elite killing weapon (and in my opinion the most fun).
The attack-pattern for hordes is 2 heavy attacks and one light attack (H1, H2, L3), and for single-target it's two light attacks and one heavy attack (L1, L2, H3). This weapon has a Weapon Special attack, a punch to the face of whatever you’re attacking.

Paired Skull-Splitters
The dual hammers are the same as Bardin's dual hammers, good for stagger and horde clear while still having decent elite killing potential (though not as much as some of WP other weapons).
For hordes you just spam light attacks, and for single-target you just hit them with heavy attacks.

Flail and Shield
Flail and shield is WP's most versatile weapon. The weapon shreds hordes, particularly mixed hordes, does good armor damage and ignores shields, and is highly defensible, because as long as you are heavy attacking, you automatically block attacks until you attack.
The flail is a simple weapon to use since the heavy attack is good against hordes and elites, though if you’re only fighting single, unarmored targets (slave rats, clan rats, fanatics), light attacks are more than enough.

Skull-Splitter Hammer
The skull-splitter hammer offers one of the highest stamina counts for WP’s weapon arsenal at 4.5 stamina, and 10% increased crit chance on the third light attack (L3). While it is not a bad weapon, the benefits it brings are vastly outweighed by the specializations of the other weapons in WP’s arsenal.
For hordes, 3 light attacks and one push attack (L1, L2, L3, PA) and for single-target you just spam the heavy attacks (H1, H2). There is a fourth light attack in the combo (L4), but there’s no point in using it, as it is the slowest attack in the combo and offers nothing besides base damage.

Skull-Splitter & Blessed Tome
This weapon gives WP a lot of utility while still being a good elite killing weapon, it is also the most unique of the weapons since you can charge the book up for two different heavy attacks. The first is a lunge forward, offering utility and mobility, that delivers huge stagger but low damage. The second heavy attack is a downward swing that makes an AoE explosion when hitting an enemy, delivering high damage and a lot of stagger in a radius around the impact, but the damage from the explosion gets lower the further away the enemies are from it. The second heavy attack also has an infinite cleave when fully charged, making it immensely powerful on ledges and dropdowns while enemies climb or drop. For hordes, this weapon struggles, but a push attack will give you some breathing room to charge up a prayer bonk (PA, H2) For elites or single targets, when approaching, use the Weapon Special to charge up a prayer. Light attack once, then charge up for a heavy attack (L1, H2). Continue this weapon combo while dealing with the target, but don’t fully charge the H2 with each attack. Simply proc the heavy attack, and charge the prayer in stages. The speed of the prayer charge is directly linked to the attack speed of the weapon (making speed potions extremely valuable when coupled with decanter or concoction). ("The hammer and book" is my second favorite weapon out of the bunch).

Skull-Splitter & Shield
This weapon is a carbon copy of Bardin’s Hammer and Shield, and Kruber’s Mace and Shield. It's a good defensive weapon that can save you if you're in a bad situation, offering the highest stamina count out of any weapon on WP, as well as inherent block cost reduction (BCR).
For hordes, do two heavy attacks followed by a push. It's not the fastest way to kill a horde but it's good for controlling it and giving your team some space, for single-target do a push attack followed by a light attack (rinse and repeat).
Talents
Level 5 Talents
Enternal Vigilance
“Gaining temporary health (temp health) from staggering enemies with melee hits. You gain more temporary health the higher stagger strength.”
This is a really good temp health talent and for a lot of builds your bread and butter for gaining temp health. The ease of gaining temp health is one of WP’s strengths that has saved me a fair few times. To be able to gain temp health with this talent you need to not kill enemies with one hit (and stagger them of course). It pairs well with the talent Prayer of Might and the trait Opportunist
for the extra stagger power to gain more temp health.

Slayer of the Wicked
“Gaining temp health on enemies hits stacking up to 5 times”.
This talent is good for when you know you are going to kill enemies with one hit and therefore not getting that consistent temp health from Eternal Vigilance. Slayer of the Wicked works great with the Flail and Shield and The Reckoner Great Hammer.

Blessed Hands
“Healing yourself with a first aid kit or healing drought also heals 20% of nearby allies' maximum health. It also removes wounds”
This talent is interesting since on most careers it's garbage but on WP it has its uses since you can heal yourself with “From Fury, Fortitude '' you don't need a temp health talent. If you have teammates that gives you temp health (mercenary, unchained, and ranger veteran) and a sister of thorn that gives 25% extra healing that stacks with boon of shallya’s 30% extra healing then you can just constantly heal you and your team, but it's not the best for when you play quick play with random teammates.
Level 10 Talents
Unstoppable Force
“Striking three enemies with one hit halves your push cost for four seconds”
It's not the best of the level 10 talents but it can be fun to use as a meme. It can work well with “Divine Excoriation” but that is not a good talent either.

Rising Judgement
“Light attacks increase the next heavy attack by 8% power. Stacks up to 5 times”
Rising Judgement can be fun if you pair it with the Skull-Splitter & Blessed Tome and Paired Skull-Splitters since they both have easy to use light attacks and high hitting heavy attacks. This talent is also good on Tzeentchian Twins since Sigmar's Executioner does not work on that event.

Sigmar's Executioner
“Killing elites grants 5% critical hit chance for 12 seconds, stacks 3 times”
This is a good talent for killing elites since the critical hits do more damage and proc swift slaying. It works great with “Prayer of Vengeance” for the extra critical hit damage.
Level 15 Talents
Smiter
“The first enemy hit always counts as staggered. Deal 20% more damage to staggered enemies. Each hit against a staggered enemy adds another count of stagger. Bonus damage is increased to 40% against enemies afflicted by more than one stagger effect.” This is your bread and butter for WP (since the other talents range from usable to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) it's good for the dps since the first hit on any enemy gets 20% extra damage and stagger for the other which also going to do more damage on the enemies, and since you have high stagger weapons you can keep them in the stagger one stage

Mainstay
“Deal 40% more damage to staggered enemies. Each hit against a staggered enemy adds another count of stagger. Bonus damage is increased to 60% against enemies afflicted by more than one stagger effect.” ♥♥♥♥ talent that you should never pick EVER. a cool guy named Twist has tried to make the talent work on any career that has this talent but it's just so ♥♥♥♥.

Enhanced Power
“Increases total Power Level by 7%. This is calculated before other buffs are applied.” Enhanced power can be used for if you want to maximize the burn damage you do from your career skill, but it does less damage in comparison to smiter, although you do get a bit of stagger and cleave (it's a talent I don't recommend but it does have some uses unlike mainstay). It can work with Rising Judgement if you want to get a lot of power on the heavy attacks, it also can work with Prayer of Might for the stagger.
Level 20 Talents
Divine Excoriation
“During Righteous Fury pushing sends out a holy shockwave around Victor staggering nearby enemies.” Divine Excoriation is a talent I have a hard time finding a use for because the shockwave does not push large enemies like chaos warriors and the shockwave is not as useful if you compare what the other level 20 talents give so I think the best use is if you run the Skull-Splitter & Shield with Unstoppable Force so you can just keep on pushing.

Empowered Smite
“Smite now triggers after 1 second, gaining increased stagger strength and dealing 40% of the attack's damage.” This talent is fun to use and has a lot of potential, the extra 40% damage when your passive ability is active can be useful against patrols or mixed hordes on the higher difficulties, and because you get more stagger power the talent “Prayer of Might” becomes a bit overkill, so you can run “Prayer of Vengeance” and “Sigmar's Executioner” so you become an elite killing machine.

From Fury, Fortitude
“During Righteous Fury; kills restore health to the party based on the health of the slain enemy.” This is the best talent that WP has. The ability to give yourself and the team health cements WP as a great support, and has saved my teammates and myself more times than I can count. It is a safe pick if you want to make a build. From Fury, Fortitude also makes you and the team able to face tank a chaos patrol (I do not endorse doing that but it can be done if you know how to kill chaos warriors).
Level 25 Talents
Prayer of Vengeance
“Bless the party with 35% increased Critical strike damage.” This talent can be used to support a team with a lot of crit builds or yourself if you want to maximize your damage.

Prayer of Might
“Bless the party with 25% increased Stagger Power.” This talent is the safest team buff that gives both you and the team the ease of reaching stagger breakpoints that get harder to reach the higher the difficulty you play (it is also the best imo.).

Prayer of Hardiness
“Bless the party with 15% increased Max Health.” This is the safest talent to pick in quick play with random teammates that you have no idea what build they are going to run, the 15% health is not going to save the waystalker from getting one shot by a stormvermin on legend and above but it will save you and the (chad) ironbreaker in a clutch so I 100% recommend this talent in solo quickplay.
Level 30 Talents
Unyielding Blessing
“Shield of Faith now lasts 8 seconds and allows the target to trample through lesser enemies and effects. Also grants the target immunity to ranged knockback (warpfires, ratling gunners, etc).” Unyielding Blessing is a talent that is not getting used as much as it should since it is extremely strong if you know when to use it and how (I will go into further details under strategies) the 8 seconds of invulnerability can and will save you in patrols and clutch situations.

United in Prayer
“Shield of Faith always affects Victor as well.” United in prayer is a solid pick that makes the use of Shield of Faith easy so you can focus on killing, since if you give the shield on yourself, it will automatically target the nearest teammate. It also maximizes your horde killing potential since you have two bubbles that will explode.

The Comet's Gift
“Shield of Faith revives and heals an amount equal to all Damage suffered in the last 3 seconds.” great talent that is used to passively, its better to use it than wait for a teammate to go down
Strategy
in this section i will go over some of the strategy's that i have learned and found usefull in situations.

Righteous Fury
Righteous Fury is a strong passive that can be frustrating to play around with, since it is based on the amount of enemies being killed around you, therefore it is harder to proc it in lower difficulties or it procs when there are no more enemies. The best way I have found to activate Righteous Fury is to be as aggressive as possible when you see a patrol, horde, monster or just roaming enemies. If you see a horde then you should be the first to engage it, the longer you're in a horde the faster you get Righteous Fury to activate, it's the same for patrols. If it has noticed you and your team then you should go head first at it. Monsters can be annoying since you (usually) get Righteous Fury proced when it's dead (if you're close to the monster) when that happens then it's ok if there are no enemies around to kill. You don't have to have it active to be successful in a match, but if there are roaming enemies around after a monster then those should be your priority to kill.
If you're running From Fury, Fortitude (talent) then killing the enemies with the highest hit points is your priority to kill since the health you and your team gets is based on the health of the slain enemy, just like some THP talents. The same goes if you're running Empowered Smite since it will help you kill them faster and therefore help your team to not get killed. If you're running Divine Excoriation then there are no enemies to prioritize, you should stagger the enemies in front.

Shield of Faith
Shield of Faith is a great career ability, (one of the strongest in my opinion) since it is very versatile it can be used to stage and damage enemies, help teammates that have been grabbed by a disabler, getting you or a teammate out of a bad situation, and the most important, you can mitigate all damage for a minimum of 5 seconds. I would say that the only bad way to use Shield of Faith is to not use it at all.
A good way to get more health to you and your team is by using your shield of faith a bit before you activate Righteous Fury with “From Fury, Fortitude”, so the explosion will kill some horde or enemies around you.
With unyielding blessing you can focus on elites and specials in a horde, that will keep your team safe to kill the horde, and if you drink a concentration potion you can keep you and a teammate safe for 8 seconds which is strong.
The talent "Comet's Gift" is usually used very pasively which is a bad way of use, it is better to use it and maybe waste it a few times than to use it once or twice through an entire match. you can try and keep an eye on your teammates and se if they are in a fight with some elites then you can wait if they go down or take damage.

fire bombs
the fire bomb has a nice trick on WP where if you kill enemies with the damage over time while righteous fury is active with “From Fury, Fortitude” you get the health on kill. You can pair WP with explosive ordinance then it can be a very consistent way of getting health but it does not work well against skaven horde since the enemies have such low health that the fire bomb will kill a lot of rats in the explosion, which does not give you health and the rats you do kill with DOT gives so little health so it is most of the time not worth it.

extreme team support
This build is not straightforward, it utilizes the healing you get from “From Fury, Fortitude” and teamsupport for it to work so you need to have a mercenary and Sister of the thorn but the 4th can be whatever you want, the idea is that you as the WP have priority on healing and elites so if someone has a wound or low health then you help them by using healshare, and you also need the mercenary to constantly using his ult so “Ready for Action” is a must have talent on mercenary.

The ♥♥♥♥ WP
(I do not endorse anyone using this build with random people in quickmatch) This build is about turning the WP into a ♥♥♥♥ of a teammate on cataclysm difficulty, because on cataclysm it's bad manners to take a grimoire since you don't get anything better by playing cataclysm than on legend, so since WP has 100% innate curse resistance then you can get max 133% curse resistance which will give you extra health because of an oversight in the
