World Map
This is the world map for Ringlorn Saga, consisting like the game that inspired it of 5x5 screens. The overworld doesn't really have edges, it wraps around them, so if you leave a screen on the right side you will enter again on the corresponding screen on the left side, or if you leave at the top you appear on the corresponding bottom screen.

Red Squares = Dungeons
Yellowish Squares = Cities and other settlements, some of them have monsters in them as well
Black X = usually there's something you can do here (dig for coins, talk to someone to get an items, etc.)
Dark Green = Trees, you can't step on that square
Gray = Mountains, you can't step on that square
Blue = Water, you can't step on that square
White Statues on Gray Tiles = Goddess Statues

Dungeon 1
The simplest and easiest dungeon. You can find a short sword here. To enter dungeons, you need a lamp, which you can get from the priest in the church close to the starting city.

White Square = Stairs to the overworld
Black X = Short Sword

Dungeon 2
In dungeon 2 you find a Templar Shield and more important the Cross, which allows you to hit various enemies like vampires, will'o wisp and so on.

White Square = Stairs to the overworld
Black X = left one is the shield, right on is the cross

Dungeon 3
After you've beaten Dragos in the tower and got the vampire key, you can use the third dungeon to reach the vampire mansion of Rau. The dungeon contains only one item, the cutter, which replaces your short sword.

White Squares = Stairs to the overworld (south one general entry, north one exit to vampire mansion)
Black X = Cutter

Dungeon 4
You need to pass through this dungeon to reach the castle of the final boss (you need to have beaten the vampire Rau and gotten the castle key from him, to open the castle gate). There's no item here, just a maze you have to get through.

White Squares = Stairs to the overworld (bottom right is the general entry, bottom middle is the exit to the castle)

Temple of Rebirth (Bonus Dungeon)
This plays a bit different than the main game. You start as a lowly slime but once you kill your first enemy you'll realize how this works. Basically, every enemy you kill you take on his form. This has pro and cons, as killing weaker enemies means you devolve (though you still collect EXP for every killed enemy which allows you to level up, which you need to be able to beat the final boss).

So the main strategy is to take on the form of a strong enemy on each floor, then mainly hunt down variants of yourself for those sweet EXP.

1st floor: You need a blue key to leave this floor, which only zombies have.

.
2nd floor: You need a green key to leave this floor, which only vampires have.

.
3rd floor: Find the boss and kill him. I recommend a Deathknight if you want to play it safe (the red variant seems to be the strongest of all of them).

A correction to the Rebirth mode: "take on the form of a strong enemy on each floor, then mainly hunt down variants of yourself" doesn't really work, because most of the enemies have one fixed slash/bash/stab attack type, and their vulnerability isn't the same, so that way you waste a lot of time doing inneffective attacks.

So for example on Rebirth level 1 it would be preferable to go from blue slime (bash) -> spider (stab, weak to bash) -> red slime (bash, weak to stab) -> repeat as needed -> sword zombie (slash, weak to bash) -> ascend to next level.

I found the attack type vulnerability more than makes up for weaker monster type, as long as you change into stronger color variants of each.

To get spells you have to first activate the quest by talking to the guy in the Cathedral at 2E, then visit all the five statues, then go back to the guy at the Cathedral at 2E, talk to him again (you get only one spell at first, you get more as you get stronger) as well as go to the guy in the Church at 2B to get some other spells (though to get to the Church at 2B you need to go around from 2C to 3C to 3B and the back to 2C).

Cordinate are like this if you map numbers horizontally on the world map and letters vertically

....1 2 3 4 5

Nice guide, this really helped a couple of times! Would be great to have a key for what each of the yellow squares are... I think one of them is related to getting magic after visiting each of the statues , but I went back to what I thought was all of them and could never find it again... must have missed one, but I'm not sure which one I missed =)
