How to become an A-Pose

Alright partners in crime. This guide is the best thing to happen to you today.

Read this guide to learn how to enter into a A-Pose in a multiplayer DOD:S server and blow yourself up with a single button.

How to trigger the glitch.

Become a support and go to a secluded area. (Lest you risk blowing up teamates.)



Throw both grenades quickly, as to allow you enough time to pick both up before they explode. This may not work the first time-- give atleast a half-second between picking up each.


Your hud weapon icon will wonk out after a few moments, first showing the grenades, but then vanishing completely. Once this happens you will know for certain you are in A-Pose. Your weapon will also vanish.

Testing in your own private server

If you don't believe me or just want to test out the functionality in a safe environment without people, just create your own server.

Perform the glitch, then to see for yourself that your body has changed, open console and type these commands.



1): Enter the command sv_cheats 1
2): Enter the command thirdperson


Now you can see for yourself what this is all about.

Time to meme

Not only is this glitch funny as heck, but it also has offers battle advantages.

1) Distract your enemies. Take a peek at the image above. Spooky right?

2) Explode at will. Press 4 to pull out your grenade. (either 4 or 3) and you will explode, even after death!

3) It is also possible to hide with this glitch. When you go prone, your man or woman will still be in the A-Pose. You will still get shot over sandbags while prone, but you can hide in crawl spaces when your upper body is obscured by props or brushwork, with only your legs being exposed. ;)

How it works (plus Soldier's Last Spark post patch)

This glitch works because for some reason carrying 2 nades causes your weapon to become null. With no weapon in hand, your playermodel has no choice but to a-pose because it has no in-game unequip animations.

Also, if you want to make use of suicide bombing, like Soldier's Last Spark, without going into A-Pose and not being able to shoot, it is simple.

1) "Drop your Weapon!"
2) "Put a grenade in there!"
3) Pick up grenade
4) Walk into weapon to pick it up.

Now you can run and gun. Press Q to instantly explode. If you accidentally draw your pistol, Q wont work anymore, so just press 4 or 3 to equip the primed grenade and visit ALLAH.

This method also works with any class that has grenades (Rifleman, Assault, or Support)

Doing this with rifleman's grenade is very tough, but it can be done by shooting the grenade before dropping the weapon, but you better be quick!
