How to co-op localy with Mouse and Keyboard + Controler (split screen)

i made this becouse i couldn't find anything on that on the internet and only information up there is that it is imposible. which is WRONG. It is possible and it is easy.

Preparation

Before we start playing we need to do one thing that will allow us to fool the game that we have 2 controlers. For this we need dummy controler. Steam's free software called Remote Play is sufficient enough and can be used on any mobile device, don't worry, we will need it just to fool the game not to play it. Remote Play is Aveliable both in Apple Store[apps.apple.com] and Google Play Store[play.google.com] for more check official steam page.

3 Easy steps to Victory

Step 1

Connect controler and Steam remote play to the computer, REMEMBER TO TURN OFF STREAMING SOUND IN OPTIONS OF REMOTE PLAY! (or you will be stuck with your phone as your speakers)

Step 2

Turn the game on. And start a split screen game. To be sure that it will work do not click or push anything on the controler, to be extra sure, you can use your mobile device to start the game, it will force dummy controler to be "player 1".

Step 3

when in game press start button on your phisical controler. now you should have 2 player split screen ready. Now you can use mouse & keyboard and a controler as a seperate players. You should be able now to just turn off remote play so do not worry that you need your phone on all the time.

Post scriptum

This trick should work on other unreal engine games that can be played in local coop. This problem is not becouse of game but an engine. However it is wierd that devs didn;t think of implementing dummy controler themselfs for split screen. However even if they tried there is still a problem that it needs to be connected when starting the game.
