It worked on my dell xps l502x machine running linux mint 13 using optirun.

Hi, I post this just in case someone like me cant start metro last light on his/her linux machine.
As I read the company that made this game have and horrible technical support so I started to try things and finally was able to get this to work.

My pc is a dell xps l502x running LinuxMint 13 (based on ubuntu 12.04)

First, as https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee/wiki/Troubleshooting suggest I installed the 32-bit VirtualGL libraries.

sudo apt-get install virtualgl-libs:i386

Later, as said at the end in: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=131448
i searched:

sudo find / -name libdlfaker.so

and made a backup of the two files (in my case) and then executed: chmod u+s libdlfaker.so

The same for librrfaker.so

The same for ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_64/gameoverlayrenderer.so

Finally, reading this article: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6316-GJKC-7437 I noticed that i need to start the game with primusrun (note that i have installed bumblebee and primus)

And thats it, i've got the game working. I really hope this solves some problem or error that you can have with metro last light on steam linux.
