The issue stems from how the casus belli is "return state" which requires a claim on Lombardy. Sardinia-Piedmont doesn't have one, and it is not created with the event sequence. As such, the war starts, and the casus belli automatically disappears because it is invalid (although the war does not stop). I manually worked around this by giving myself a claim on Lombardy at Day 0 of the war (i.e. war starts, auto-pause, save, edit save file, go back to game). Hope it helps, great mod for such a key event

I use this mod mostly in hope of Sardinia actually tries to form Italy before TS steals it, with mixed results depending on how fast TS snatches nationalism. In the times it does pop for AI I notice the in the war, Sardinia has no war goal, thus even if I try to assist it they gain nothing and Austria loses nothing. I do have other mods but most are cosmetic in nature, could you please have another look at the decision? Thanks.

The Treaty of Turin of 1860 was just for the handover of Savoy and Nice to France

one thing tho, this was the treaty of turin... plombieres was just a revision of the italian states borders, its how the united provinces of central italy formed - just a note otherwise good mod

It seems that the decision should trigger the event plombieres_agreement.8 rather than plombieres_agreement.6. In addition, Sardinia cannot add war goal to gain STATE_LOMBARDY

@alexinus oh I tested it again and the event is not spamming for France so it's probably because of one of the mods you are using
