How to edit the text in BBCR (REMASTERED)

This will teach you how to edit the text for things like menu screens and subtitles! Now with a more in-depth step process!

Here's how you do it:

(Before we start, make sure you backup any file you edit, just in case.)

It's quite simple to edit the text. First, right click BBCR and click properties, then browse local files.

You should see this:

Next, go into the "BALDI_Data" folder, then "StreamingAssets". There you can find a notepad called "Subtitles_En".



You should now see something like this:


Now you can edit the text by replacing any text that has quotes around it and replacing it with your own. Do note, try to avoid changing or removing any text with symbols around it, like <>, or / unless you know what they do.


If you ever want the OG text back, simply verify the integrity of the games files in "property"

The other details

Not only does this contain the subtitles, but it also contains text for the ENTIRE game.
So you can change item names, menu screen text and of course, the subtitles.

This most likely won't be that useful and rather is for a quick laugh if you want to change the text to be something stupid.

AGAIN, make sure to back up any changed text , you never know if the game might update, thus reverting your changed text.

Here's come commonly asked questions:
Q: "Can I edit Null's hidden text" or "I can't find Null's text! Where is it??"
A: Sadly, you can't see or change his text, as it is in a encrypted and hidden file that we haven't figured out how to change. I don't even know where it is stored.

Q: "Can I add my own text into the game without replacing it?"
A: Most likely if you know how to mod, but if your just changing text then most likely not. There are most likely tutorials on Youtube you could follow!

The Null text is just encrypted using an encryption algorithm bundled from the UnityCipher plugin with the key "baldi" .

If you run the plugin's encryption either by modifying the code or running your own scripts in an Unity project featuring it, you might be able to get suitable replacements.
