All possible key locations

A quick and easy guide to all possible key locations!

About the Keys

Update 0.2.6.169 Changed how the key works on Section 1, Now both keys will always be on the same location/room and this room will always be on different location since the map is procedurally generated.

Red Key: Janitor Key
Golden Key: Elevator Key

Section 1 (First floor/Tape 1)

Section 1 have two keys, a Red key that can open the Janitor room and a Golden Key that you use to open the elevator.

The Red key can be found inside the Doll Room, The location where the Doll room is random


The key will be always spawn on the left of the door on top of the dresser opposed to the bed


Elevator Key:
The Janitor room is also random but it's more easy to find because there's a dialogue voice when you get close to it and have a different door


The Golden key to open the elevator can be found on the shelve.


After getting the Golden key you can open the elevator and go to the next Section!

(Old) About the Keys

PSA: The content bellow is not accurate anymore because the changes on keys system on 0.2.6.168 (04/22/2023) and 0.3.0.200 (06/21/2023) Update, so i'm gonna leave it for now as a legacy text

The key are important for you to be able to complete a floor and go to the next, the location of the key is random, every run will be in a different location

If you interact with the elevator before finding a key, after 5 minutes you will get a prompt voice line saying where the key can be.

Update 0.2.4.129 added drawings on white boards, stalls, and mirrors and these drawing includes hints about where the key are on that run

First Floor: Red key
Second Floor: Green key

(Old) Section 1 (First floor/Tape 1)

These are all the possible location

Inside some classroom: The Key can appear on top of desks in classrooms

Bathrooms: The Key can appear inside any toilet stall inside the toilets

Computer lab: In the computer lab the key can be found in the corners of the room or on the main table.

Library: On top of the Tables and near the PC's

On the wood table near the sofa

In the middle of the chairs

Inside a Locker

---

Cafeteria: On the first table when you enter the room, normally under the doll's feet

On a random bench on the basketball court (rare spawn as the basketball court)

I don't remember if the key can actually appear in the following locations, I have the memory of getting the key here but I'm not really sure

Inside some classroom: The Key can appear on top of desks in classrooms

The following locations are unique to the green key in Section/Floor 2, If you cannot find the key in the locations I've shown above, the key can be found in the following locations:


A bathroom that only contains a toilet

At the entrance to the cursed bathroom, in one of the stalls, usually the first two
