ACHTUNG
I will be adding more to this guide over time, so dont worry if it seems a bit short right now. Feel free to suggest ideas as well and I will add you to the tips.
Spoiler-Free Tips
Know what to carry
Throughout the entire game you will only have six inventory slots, so it's important to manage this properly. From my experience and hearing from others I find that the best way to manage your inventory is the following:
  • 1 Slot for a weapon
  • 1 Slot for ammo
  • 1 Slot for a utility item (Stun, Flashlight, etc)
  • 1 Slot for healing items
  • 2 Slots for Key Items (I suggest taking these right to storage until you know they are needed)
This layout for the inventory is balanced for having everything you need and having enough space to have key items on you without needing to juggle many items around storage.

Know when to use ammo
Ammo management can be incredibly rough given you only have six inventory slots for the game. My general rule is that if I'm in a wide area then I can probably dodge most enemies taking little to no hits, saving ammo for tough fights and tight areas you need to shoot your way through.

Know when to burn bodies
Burning bodies is best reserved for passageways you will be going back and fourth an area a lot, typically when trying to gather a lot of items. This is the best way to manage burning bodies as there is no point wasting uses on a room you probably wont go back into.

Check your doors
I find it best to try and map out what is and is not accessible each time you enter a new room by running by the doors will give you a popup of if it can be entered, is locked by a key or is inaccessible. This can be useful for saving time as I have gone back to rooms where I did not check doors just to find they are inaccessible.

Dealing with Bosses

FOCUSING ON BOSS FIGHTS AND SPECIFIC ENDINGS

Final Boss Fight - Falke
    Suggested Items:
  • 1 Slot dedicated to Healing Items, preferably what you have the most of.
  • 1 Slot for the Pistol
  • 1 Slot for the SMG
  • 1 Slot for SMG Ammo (Pistol is fine if you don't have enough SMG Ammo)
  • 2 Empty slots for Spears
I do not suggest using Tank Controls for this fight but it is up to preference.

My general strategy is to focus fire on Falke in the early part of the fight with SMG Fire, they should quickly fall to the ground. Once this happens pick and Spears to fill your inventory, run up to Falke and interacting should stab them with a Spear.

Each time Falke is stabbed with a Spear the area you are in will change, which will bring enemies and items. Take any ammo for your weapons if you need it and my general strategy for dealing with the normal enemies is to just make distance and focus all fire onto Falke.

Falke also has their own attacks but these are relatively simple to dodge and there should be a healing item around if you ever take damage from these. The main concerns with Falke's attacks is dodging them while also making sure not to get hit by any roaming enemies. If the roaming enemies do start to become a problem then it might be best to shoot a few down if you have the ammo to spare.

As the fight progresses Falke will gain shields, first three shields but six shields towards the end. These can be frustrating to deal with while avoiding taking damage but make sure to take it slow as your cursor tells you if you shot will hit if the square is clear. Once Falke has been stabbed with enough Spears the fight will end and you will progress towards your ending.

Give thoughts and share theories about the endings, this section of the guide wouldn't be here without that thread.

Fakeout
Requirements: None
Fake Anti-Climatic ending where Elster appears to die after escaping the fleshy hell area through the tablet door. The game can be continued by selecting Begin on the menu.

Memory
Requirements: Try to beat the game quickly, avoid combat when possible, avoid damage but don't stay at full health too much and avoid talking to NPCs.
This seems to be the most common ending. Elster returns to the ship to find Ariane(Alina?), a corpse resembling Elster at the start of the game can be found in the mess hall. Upon finding Ariane she does not remember Elster, despite this Elster lies next to her as Ariane reaches out her hand. The two together one last time before death.

Promise
Requirements: Take longer to beat the game, kill many enemies (no specific number I know of) and stay on lower health as much as possible

Leave
Requirements: Spend as much time as you can inside the Penrose Memory, stay at Full HP as much as possible, talk to NPCs a lot and try to open broken doors a lot.
This seems to be the worst possible ending. When Elster returns to the ship, they can explore like usual. Interacting with the Mess Hall corpse makes Elster mention that they did not keep their promise. Entering the Cryo-Room instead results in Elster leaving the ship instead, there is no reveal of Ariane in the Cryo-Pod. As Elster leaves there are some flashing sentences about failing to keep the promise before Elster collapses. It is safe to assume Elster dies here, Ariane will also die in the Cryo-Pod eventually.

(Credit to https://steamcommunity.com/id/goka9696 for finding this ending, the screenshot and starting the ending discussion thread.)

Artifact
Requirements: Open the Safe with three keys and a code
Key One: While connected to frequency 96.000, inside the room with the four cages inspect the bottom right cage.

Key Two: While connected to frequency 65.000, inside the 8th floor dorm inspect the bookshelf.

Key Three: While connected to frequency 240.000, behind the Rotfront bookstore inspect the shelves.

Code: 39486601702432601064

This is the games secret ending, now finally figured out from the discussion thread. I wont summarise this one as I dont fully understand myself right now, but I believe it is also VERY open to interpretation.

Just Saying last boss you can defeat with nothing in iinventory just run around at the edge of the maps and maybe if you need healing then pick up the healing stations at 3 or 4.

Just to update for some people, we've sort of found values on how the endings work. Basically the Memory one is the one the game wants you to get as you start with a value that is stacked in its favor. It starts at +2, and if any other route also gets to +2, it's possible Memory will override it. Essentially your goal is to get the other ones to +3.

Ways to get Promise:
+1 Take 12 hours or more
+1 Defeat 90+ enemies total
+1 Defeat 120+ enemies total
+1 Continue after death more than 5 times

Ways to get Leave:
+1 Talk to NPCs over 25 times
+1 Talk to NPCs over 35 times
+1 Linger in memory scenes over 5 minutes (maybe each)
+1 Check locked doors over 40 times

If you take under 6 hours, it gives +1 to Memory. So you wanna potentially hit the sweetspot of 6-12 hours as that awards no points to any route, making it easy to guide your route to whichever one you want.

There's more things but those are probably the easiest and most consistent ways. Hope that helps y'all.

Took 10 hrs, did all dialogue, died a few times, killed everything in sight, idled around sometimes, got hurt a lot but healed fully every time. Memory ending GET

Gonna have to challenge the requirements for the Memory ending: "Try to beat the game quickly, avoid combat when possible, avoid damage but don't stay at full health too much and avoid talking to NPCs."

I took 13 hours to beat the game, I engaged in tons of combat, I took damage regularly but stayed at full health as much as possible, and I exhausted all dialogue with all NPCs. I got the Memory ending. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So take from that what you will.

One spoiler-free tip I'd add is: If you find a key item but didn't have the inventory space to get it, take note of where it is, so you can come back to it later. The game doesn't mark item pickups in the map, and it can be easy to forget which things are where while exploring.

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the guide to the secret ending as is. I don't think I could figure it out on my own but I also didn't want to actually know what it entailed until I saw it for myself.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I hope so, but here are some of the things I did in my normal difficulty playthrough (spoilered just in case- sorry):

For Minah , the things I used were:

1 - Medium Spray
2 - Pistol (full)
3 - Shotgun (full)
4 - Pistol Ammo (however much you have)
5 - Shotgun Ammo (to supplement pistol ammo if you're low)

Equip the shotgun, avoid Minah's shots until she calls an enemy/kneels down and opens her visor. Use the shotgun to clear mobs, then switch to the pistol and empty as much as you can into her. Use the inventory to reload faster. Prioritize mob clearing from cover when Minah is moving/shooting. Don't get near to her, and keep some distance from her when her visor opens so you don't get gooed from what comes bleeding out.

Later on, you may encounter another two Minahs, one in the level of the mines accesses by an elevator, and another in the "surgery room" of the fleshy labyrinth. Both are accompanied by several mobs, and both can be dispatched very easily. You should have the flare gun at these points, use the flares (NOT the explosives) and shoot one into her visor when she opens it. That's it, one flare is all it takes. She's hardly a boss anymore.

Alternatively, the one in the mine can be simply avoided- run around, do your best not to get stuck/crowded, and climb into the hatch as soon as it finishes opening. But for the one in the labyrinth, take out the STCR and EULEs first, dodging her mining laser until she drops and opens her visor. You may be able to just take out the smaller enemies and leave her alone, but as the adjacent rooms all have a bunch of enemies, it's probably better to take her out.

3/4

Finally, for the last boss, Falke , I found it easiest for me to bring:

1 - (3) Autoinjectors
2 - Shotgun (5)
3 - Rifle (2)
4 - Rifle Ammo (6)

Equip the autoinjectors (don't worry about healing- they'll pump you back to full should you take lethal damage) and the rifle. If you pick up all the rifle ammo in each of the phases, you should have some left over by the end of the fight. But don't worry- a shotgun blast at a decently close range is equivalent to a single rifle shot, so supplement with the shotgun if you run out. There should also be some shotgun ammo in the second room of the fight too. If you really need to, you can take out all or almost all of the mutated ARARs (floor creatures) in a single shot if you line them up/let them crowd you. If you accidentally pick up the wrong ammo and run out of space just quickly move into the inventory and select the destroy option. Prioritize mob-clearing, then item-picking, then shooting Falke.

4/4

Falke's attacks are fairly easy to doge so long as you're always moving and expect them. The spear throws have a long wind-up and can be dodged simply by walking. The radial orbs can be dodged when they're first introduced by pacing back and forth (the larger radii on the later use may require running). The most difficult are her shock wave/echo things. I found it best to sit in one of the corners adjacent to Falke and run to the diagonally adjacent corner when she started these.

These experiences are based on going through her fights a few times on Normal- I have no idea how things change on Survival, but they should translate fairly well into Easy (no shame in playing on that difficulty- all the endings can be reached no matter the difficulty).
