Introduction
Welcome to my first guide! I decided to make this guide to make it easier to find informations for this game. I loved this game when I was a kid.:)

I won't add maps, because the one on Gamefaqs does the work perfectly and i can't post them on Steam. Here the link[gamefaqs.gamespot.com] if you need the maps made by StarFighters76.

This remastered game is based of the PlayStation version and not the Nintendo DS. The guides visible in the link above are still reliable to follow, if you need a walkthrough.

Some achievements must be completed in one playthrough to be obtain, because they require to collect various things in one game file: Puppet Master, Shameless Advertising, An Illustrious Achievement, Fully Equipped, It Never Hurts to Help!, Omega-Level Caster and Ailment Connoiseur.

However, to gain all achievements you need to complete the game in the easy or normal mode and the hard mode. In overall, you need to do two playthoughs, because both difficulty achievements don't stack. There is no new game plus in this game.

English is not my first langage, so I am sorry if some parts of my guide are confusing.
I hope this guide will be useful to you and thank you for reading it :)

All in One Piece

No monsters or puppets must faint in battle before you reach that part of the story or you won't get this achievement. Keep in mind that if you're playing with monsters, If they faint you can't revive them and they leave your party for good. It's possible to revive puppets but not monsters. However if you wish to get this achievement nobody must die before the Marl's contest.
Inotium Hoarder
Hold 100,000 Inotium in your inventory.
Ailment Connoiseur
Have Cornet be inflicted with each abnormal status effect at least once. In one game file.

Here a list of the monster who can cast status effect magic, to my knowledge.

Philantropy

Elinger: in Wonderwoods, Wonderwoods Cave, Underground Path (Orange village graveyard secret passage).
*Note: Only appear before the Miss Marl's contest. The Wild Elinger must be level 3 to be able to cast the magic otherwise they don't have enough mp to cast it. The magic cost 10 mp and they only cast it once in a battle. The magic is called Love spore, and it as poor accuracy. They appear more often in the cave or the Underground Path.

R.Heart and the MainHeart: in the Worm train. Both Hearts only cast their magic only once in battle, if there is a member of your team or Cornet next to it. You have more chance to gain the philantropy illness from the R.Heart, because the MainHeart prefer to heal himself than use statut effect magic.

Poison

Bee: in Ancient Forest (*note: Only appear before the Miss Marl's contest).

PoisnToad: Wonderwood (*after Cornet change to her travelling clothes).

Poishroom: BlueCat Underground, Oasis underground Ruins, Worm Train and Inotium Mine.

Confuse

Koro: Visit the npc Alfred in Orange village (at the moment mentionned in the note below) and when he talk that this dog died, check one of the grave in the graveyard of village.

* Note: Koro is a missable puppet, he can be recruit at differents moments but if you advance to far in the story you lose your chance to have him.

1) It can be as early as you unlock BlueCat town and return to Orange village before entering the town. Credit: to ~Vivi~ and to ZheMaster.

2) or right after the completion of the Cat's Eyes Mine.

3) according to one of the walkthrough in the link above, in the introduction section of this guide, you can still get Koro after getting the FIrestone, the Thunderstone/Holystone and the Waterstone, but it might be your last chance to do so after these events.

You can find Alfred house's at this location.( he's the little boy)

Duke: Tower of Wisdom on the fifth floor

Ledgem: Wonder Woods *Talk to him in Tower of Wisdom first*

Flare: Salsa Volcano, part of the story

Billy: Check the Snowman in WhiteSnow village

Chiba: Tower of the Ninetail, on 7th floor

NightSpawn: Sign up for the Prince Fan Club in MotherGreen (in the beginning of the game) and check your Mailbox often in Orange village after each major events. Nightspawn might show up in your mailbox after getting three of the elemental stones.

Albatross: Temple of Gama *Left Side, Second Floor*

Michael and Caroline: After Michael dies, talk to frogs in KeroKero and visit theirs grave in Ice Temple.
Challenge Accepted
You need to have recruit NightSpawn for the achievement. Use him in battle to defeat 100 enemies and raise this skill level to lv3. Then this quest event will unlock and you have to defeat him in a battle. Credit to : OverlordDean on Steam.
It Never Hurts to Help!
Complete all nine puppet quests. Some of those quests are missable, if you advance to far in the story. Try to do them before you have to go to Cape Hope.

1) L-Kun: part of the story, use the puppet as your costume for the contest (The game won't let you say no to progress in the story).

2) Sharte and Terra: have them both and your party and raise them to at least level 30.

3) Flare: Return to the dragon nest in Salsa Volcano after leveling him to near level 10 or higher. ***Note: Do it before visiting Polansky after you have collected all the elemental stones. Credit: Action-Flash

4) Billy, Tell and Kid: Have them in your party and talk to the tailor in Mothergreen. He will tell you there is a Chimera in Ancient forest. Go in Ancient forest last level and defeat the monster with the three puppets eggs in your party.

5) Nightspawn: Use him in battle to defeat 100 enemies and raise this skill level to lv3. Then this event will unlock and you have to defeat him in a battle.

6) Koro: After you get the Thunderstone/Holystone or three of the elemental stones. Alfred in Orange Village might become sick. Go talk to him and everyone is his house and in the village, then head to the Tower of Wisdom. Talk to the wise man Polansky at the top of the tower. Head to Ice Temple and get the Snow Herb. Head back to Orange Village and give it to Alfred mother's to finish the quest.

*Note: This quest is missable and since you can get the four elemental stones at differents order. It's best to return to check Alfred before getting your last elemental stone or after getting the Thunderstone. For best result, get the Thunderstone in second after getting the Firestone. If you progress to far in the story before completing this quest you won't be able to finish it. It's still possible to get Koro quest if you're in the middle of having your last elemental stone and haven't obtain it yet.

7) Caroline and Michael: have them both and your party and raise them to at least level 30.

8) Ledgem: Take the puppet into the Netherworld after Kururu's dream somewhere around floor 18.

9) Duke, Chiba and Albatross: Have them in your party and go to the Netherworld after Kururu's dream and destroy the Ancient Weapon on the bottom floor, with the three puppets in your party.

Omega-Level Caster
Use all types of Omega Magic. Here a list of the monsters or puppets which can cast those magic.(to my knowledge)

This achievement require that you recruit a monster with the earth element, because none of the puppets learn to cast Omega Earth.

*Notes: To make monsters join your party, you will need to kill them with Cornet horn (basic attack). However it may take some time, because this technique don't work everytime and some monsters are more rare than others or simply have a lower percentage of chance to join your party. Also, if monsters die, you lose them from your team, because you can't revive them unlike the puppets.

OmegaMeteor: Nightspawn Lv31, Ledgem Lv47, Terra Lv45

OmegaEarth: Golem(monster) Lv37 *Recruitable in the Tower of wisdom

OmegaFlame: Billy Lv35

OmegaHydro: Caroline and Michael at Lv29

OmegaTornado: Flare Lv43

OmegaStorm: L-Kun Lv45, Siren(monster) Lv 35 * Recruitable in the Temple of Gama

OmegaHoly: Sharte Lv48
Happily Ever After
Complete the game at the easy or normal difficulty.

When you start the game for the first time, it will be set to the normal difficulty. To change the difficulty of the game, you need to go in the game title menu, then in the option menu, before creating a new game.
Harder Happily Ever After
Complete the main story on hard difficulty.

For some reason, even if you complete the game for the first time at the hard difficulty you will not receive the Happily ever after achievement.(the one for the easy/normal mode completion). You will only get the Harder Happily ever after achievement. Both difficulty achievements does not stack. You will have to create a new game and beat the game at either easy or normal difficulty to get the other achievement.

To change the difficulty of the game you need to go in the title menu, then in the option menu, before creating a new game. The Hard difficulty is already available when you start the game for the first time.

If you're playing this game to get all the achievements, I suggest you to play the game at the Hard mode first, because even in this mode, the game is easy. I find it more fun to complete the game at hard before the normal/easy mode. And since you got to beat the game two times to gain all the achievements, your second playthough will be much faster. Also, the All in one piece achievement can only be done in Hard.
You've Been a Wonderful Audience!
Become the ultimate puppet master by obtaining all of the achievements.

Thank you for the info @Action-Flash, I will add it in the guide as soon as possible! :)

For Flare's puppet quest, it has to be done before returning to Polansky after getting all the elemental stones or else it won't appear because Kururu needs to be there. Learned this too late. Thanks for the awesome guide though, it's been a ton of help.

alright ,thank you for your reply!

Ah my bad I misread your description. I thought you said you needed to finish the game a second time on easy/normal to have the hard achievement (sounds stupid I know but I think I'm not the only one misreading it cause I saw someone in the forums asking for an already finished easy/normal save to play on hard right away to get the achivement ^^'). Maybe chaning a bit the phrasing? (it's easy to overlook that you write Happily ever after instead of Harder Happily ever after). Cause no, I didn't get the easy/normal achievement, just the hard one ^^'

@Un Mec Lambda you completed the game on hard and got the achievement for the easy mode at the same time? Just asking in case my sentence was not clear in my guide and because, I had to complete the game at two different difficulty to get both achievements. Maybe, I got a bug? thank you for the information.

Sadly, no I haven't discover a way to gain faster exp.

You might want to change the Harder Happily Ever After description. I finished the game just once on hard mode and got the achievement. You wouldn't know an easy way to level up? Even the last dungeon enemies give so few xp it takes forever to level up puppets -_-

@D's Journal I am very sorry for my late reply, but I don't have my game data anymore on my computer.

Do you have a clear save by chance?
Chatiel  [author] Nov 28, 2022 @ 10:27am
@Gatto_Fatuo Elinger at lv 3 appear more often in the Wonderwood cave, but they are more rare they Elinger at lv2. Keep fighting in the cave and you meet one eventually. Also they only have enought mp to cast their magic once per fight, so keep cornet close to them. It might take some time and luck. Good luck and thank you for reading my guide. :)
