100% Achievement Guide

A guide to help you get 100% achievements in MW2. This guide is has a video for every available achievement so you don't need search for anything yourselves.

Now includes Spec-Ops achievements!!! Any links or contributing info is is appreciated & I'll keep updating this as more info comes out!

Disclaimer

Replayablility

Assuming chapters are replayable nothing is technically missable. With that said, it is recommended to play on veteran difficulty to knock out all the difficulty-related achievements in one go. You can go back and replay missions on recruit mode for easier "stealth" related achievements or to just go back and grab whatever you missed.

Campaign - Progression

Time for Pints
Finish the Campaign on any difficulty.
I recommend doing your first playthrough on veteran so you don't have repeat all missions


Cutting heads off Snakes
Finish all Campaign missions on Veteran or Realism difficulty.
Veteran recommended.

Campaign - Level Specific

Missions Arranged Chronologically

There are 17 missions however there is not necessarily a level specific achievement on every mission. There is also an achievement called Gentlemen Thief which requires you to open safes located across multiple levels to unlock, refer to the video linked at the bottom of this section for that.

Nessie
Mission 3: Wetwork
Reach the barge without being seen in 'Wetwork'.

Crocodile
Mission 3: Wetwork
Shoot three enemies while underwater in 'Wetwork'.

Nobody was There
Mission 9: Recon by Fire
Never trigger the alarm in 'Recon by Fire'.

Keeping this One
Mission 10: Violence & Timing
Reach Price using the first vehicle you hijack.

Test Drive
Mission 10: Violence & Timing
Drive five vehicle types in 'Violence and Timing'.

Ghost-in-Training
Mission 11: El Sin Nombre
Reach the penthouse in 'El Sin Nombre' without killing anyone or triggering the alarm.

A Crappy Way to Die
Mission 12: Dark Water
Kill the enemy in the porta-potty.

Don’t touch the deck!
Mission 12: Dark Water
In 'Dark Water' advance 90 meters towards the front of the ship without touching the deck.

Gunless
Mission 13: Alone
Finish 'Alone' without firing a gun.
The guide is unnecessary. You can still get kills with knives and primary throwables.

Backpack Guy
Mission 14: Prison Break
Kill gassed or blinded enemies using a Molotov, Semtex and Frag in 'Prison Break'.

No time to lose
Mission 14: Prison break
Complete the CCTV sequence in four minutes.

Practice makes Perfect
Mission 16: Ghost team
Shoot all the targets in the training area in 'Ghost Team'.

Must be Wind
Mission 17: Countdown
Rescue the hostages in 'Countdown' without the enemies firing their weapons.

Gentleman Thief
Open three safes in the Campaign.
Refer to the safe codes section of this guide for a detailed description

Campaign - Not Level-Specific

Daredevil
While affected by one Flashbang, kill two enemies in the Campaign or in Co-op.
(Can be completed on any level)

Wall of Duty
Kill three Enemies with the Riot Shield in the Campaign or in Co-op.
Easiest to do this on mission 14: Prison Break

Safe Codes

Mission 11: El Sin Nombre

Safe #1: Code 02-02-19
After the interrogation, Alejandro will give you a mask and send you outside. Head straight until you see a gate on the left, then go all the way down and climb up the balcony at the end of the path. There will be some corridors you have to run through, the room you need to go to is straight down and towards the left side. Go into the room and open up the closet and type in the code.

Mission 13: Alone

Safe #2: Code 10-10-80
You will reach a point in the level where you get to a shotgun trap and a bit further down there will a door that when opened will have a man bleeding out on the floor. Head to the left to the locked door and open it with a shiv. Thhe safe is located in the corner of this room.

Safe #3: Code 37-60-80
After opening the previous safe, exit the room and drop down the stairwell. Exit immediately to the left to find a car shop called "El Maistro" and go inside. There should be a small office with a safe inside, enter the final code for the achievement.

Co-op / Spec-Ops

Only the Beginning
Earn at least one star in co-op
Just complete any mission in co-op with at least 1 star!


Kings of the Mountain
Earn three stars in 'Defender: Mt. Zaya'
(follow guide)

Night Fight
Earn three stars in 'Low Profile'
(follow guide)

Going Dark
Complete 'Low Profile' without triggering any alarms
(follow guide)

Hellride
Earn three stars in 'Denied Area'

Full SSE
Find 20 intel fragments in co-op

Other

We are RTB
Collect all the trophies
(not sure if available on Steam)
