Airoheart Achievement Guide

This guide will help you to obtain all achievements in the game.

Introduction

Airoheart is an action-adventure game, similar to the old The Legend of Zelda games (A Link to the Past, The Minish Cap, etc). It offers 9 dungeons in total, which must be explored in a certain order to continue. Potions, hearts, manas, bombs, and arrows will be mostly placed beneath rocks and pots (not grass), and the ones placed in pots will always respawn if you reenter the area.

Airoheart has some missable achievements. If you are an achievement hunter, I suggest you to read the missable achievements first. Since most achievements have more than one requirements to grant, I might not list everything, although I did try my best to list everything that I know help to trigger the achievement.

Since you will be able to continue playing the game after beating the final boss, try to explore everything by yourself as much as possible, and return to this guide for the things that you missed. I listed the achievements in the order that you can obtain it the earliest, but since some achievements have prerequisites that need to be done in other places first, the ordering might not be the best. It's also the reason why I suggested to try getting everything by yourself first.

But regardless of how you'll use the guide, if you are an achievement hunter, I remind you again to check the missable achievements first.

Tips and Tricks

If you are new to games in this genre or maybe stuck, I suggest reading this too.

1. Pots and rocks are your friend. Grass isn't. Unlike The Legend of Zelda, cutting grass won't drop heart or money. Instead, rocks are the one who randomly spawn those and other items like bombs and arrows. Pots are more special, though. If you break a pot and find a heart inside, they will always spawn the same thing when you reenter the area. The only exception to this rule is the beads in your house.
   
   
2. Remember the location of pots that drop hearts (and other items). This is related to #2; since pots will always respawn the same item, it is good to try and remember the location. I found the purple dungeon to be a good source of potions in the early game. There is always 1 potions if you head 2 screen west from the dungeon entrance. The others are more tricky and require more exploration, but you should be able to explore the dungeon thoroughly by then. If you need mana, there are 2 pots in the house in the southeast corner of Llanfair and inside Telekremorr's Tower.
   
   
3. You can eat bananas, apples, cabbages, and carrots to restore health. If the purple dungeon isn't accessible for you (you need purple bead to access that), try going to Llanfair. There are a lot of health restoring items in boxes for you to consume. If you need more, just reenter the area and they will respawn.
   
   
4. Talk to everyone, and keep talking to them until they have no more to say to you. One person will give you an item after you exhaust their dialogues, others will give you quest. Keep on talking to everyone until they either repeat their dialogue or say "...".
   
   
5. Kill all gnomes outside Fengrileye Forest. Fengrileye Forest is the area that is accessible after the third dungeon. Sometimes, gnomes (monster with red pointy hat) will spawn outside the forest, which will drop 20 beads when killed.
   
   
6. Try to explore everything before going to the next dungeon. I found the fourth dungeon to be impossible to beat without having Rune of Lethargy, for example.
   
   
7. Do not break all pots in a dungeon if you don't need it. Since pots and enemies don't respawn, you might exhaust your resources too fast if you break all pots that you can find when you have everything maxed out. You might get softlocked as a result, forcing you to kill yourself to reset the dungeon.
   
   
8. Be conservative. Still related to #7, do not spam bombs, arrows, and spells if you don't need them. If a spell that you thought should work doesn't work, do not recast it right away. Instead, try to think if there is an alternative solution first in case you assumed wrong.
   
   
9. Keys and switches might be hidden beneath pots. This might be contradictive to #7 and #8, but sadly, there are still times where you have to break pots more than necessary. Only do it if you are really stuck though and you should be fine.
   
   
10. Hidden switches exist too! This applies to switches that opens a door and activates trap.

Powerups

This only list powerups that help exploration.

Bomb	Break vulnerable walls. Detonate nearby landmine.
Rune of Lethargy	Slow everything around you. If a switch feels too fast for you, try using this rune.
Magic Shoelaces	Roll across 2 tiles. This allow you to pass through ledges. Can't be used diagonally.
Light Crossbow	Shoot arrows to circle targets. Shoot arrows to faraway targets or switches.
Second Draoidh Stone	Lift small boulder.
Magic Flask	Can be poured to any water container to either open switch or heal Kill some ghost enemies (especially the skull with candle on it) Douse fire Water plants Reveal hidden paths
Kobold Tech Rune	Pull yourself to the contraption. Can't be used diagonally.
Rune of Flight	Fall through holes.
Fourth Draoidh Stone	Lift big boulder.
Rune of Creation	Summon ice block that can be picked up and thrown away.
Climbing Gear	Scale climbable walls.
Rune of Haste	Walk faster.
Lightheart	Destroy walls in the final dungeon.

Stoned and Alone
Rescue Rocky


The quest will open up once you finish the fourth dungeon. Finish the fifth dungeon to get the achievement.

Upstream
Obtain the Bottle of Light


From the prison in Lake Comito, head north to the waterfall puzzle. If you dont know how to solve it, here is the solution.

Doors are labeled 1 from the left to right of the map (not where you come from). Double check which floor are you from - the game will state the floor once you switch maps.
L1 - door 3 or 4 (doesnt matter which since they will lead to the same floor)
L3 - fall to the water right of door 2
L2 - door 3
L4 - fall to the water to the left
L3 - door 3
L4 - enter the door with a sign

Once you reach the top, enter the cave. Pick up the pot and throw it to the body of water to meet Water Nymph.

Performance Enhanced
Beat Philo in a running race


Requires Rune of Lethargy. You can get the rune from an old hermit, located in the house north of Llanfair. You just need to locate the east exit from there.

Philo is located 1 screen south, 1 screen east from Telekremorr's Tower. Just use Rune of Lethargy and recast it whenever your character's sprite color is nearing normal. I used 3 manas for this. If you need to refill your mana, reenter the screen and break the nearby jar.

Fauntastic
Finish all Faun encounters


I'm not sure if you need to finish all or one quest, but I got this achievement by completing the last one.

• Fleetinfeet: see Performance Enhanced achievement.
  
• Fripperyquipp: head to the oasis in the Al'Kashmiri Basin (desert area) and finish his quest. You need to get Kobold Tech Rune to finish the pyramid dungeon.
  
• Flabberggast: head to the rooftop of the haunted house in the Fengrileye Forest.
  
• Fossegrimm: you'll need Sheet of Music, which is located 1 screen south from Telekremorr's Tower (purple tower). Enter the cave to the southwest corner. Bomb the wall to the north and explore the area until you find a chest. You'll have to battle a bandit near the exit, but he's easy to beat.After you get the sheet, head south of The Great Marsh's entrance and continue heading east until you find a body of water and 2 statues. Head north to find Fossegrimm.
  
• Flibbertigibbet: head to the mine in The Red Regions and defeat all enemies. The mine is located in the cave to the east of the area.

Possibly Chosen
Obtain a blessing from each of the Five Primaries


Obtain all beads and visit the shrines. You can head 1 screen west from Llanfair and talk to the Pilgrim several times to get the shrines marked on your map. For each bead locations, see Fauntastic achievement (they reward you with beads). Note that you can only get a blessing from the shrine if you have a bead of the same color.

Wizard Of Old
Defeat Carthicus

Self-explanatory.

- Missable Achievements

Purist
Finish the game without killing any Rodents


Although you'll most likely receive this after you beat the game, I put this at the top because of... reasons. Rodent is the brown-colored creature found in the overworld. You can hit them, but don't ever kill them. The rest of the monsters are killable, including those dark enemies at night.

After all that...
Find a deceased Cartwright


To be honest, I don't know if this is missable, but since there is a chance that it is, I moved it here. Talk to Cartwight in Lake Comito, then head inside the house in Fengrileye Forest.

Probably For The Best
Break all of Lod's Kobold Eggs


After you finish the fourth dungeon, head to Llanfair. There is an exit blocked by a big boulder somewhere to the west. Break all of the kobold eggs. If you don't, you'll have to replay the game from the beginning to get the achievement. Don't worry, 200 beads (the full reward) worth nothing.

Mellowed Fellows
Locate and see all sleeping creatures after dark


I'm not sure if this is everything, but if you are missing some, I suggest you to check the potted spinning flower on your way to the first dungeon. This achievement can only be obtained once you finish Mount Comito (seventh dungeon) and can't be done post-game.

• Mushroom: use the portal near your home.
  
• Kobold: 1 screen north from Telekremorr's Tower, head to where the second dungeon is. It's located in the farm on your way there, to the far west (next to the chest and a wooden house).
  
• Bird: Telekremorr's Tower, south exit.
  
• Gnome: near the portal to the orange dungeon.

- Taste Like HUD (Heart Melons)

Find all the Heart Melons

1. Use your house's back entrance.
   
   
2. Go east from Llanfair's south exit, then continue southeast until you reach a pavement. Head west until you see a hole and a sign. Fall down the hole.
   
   
3. Telekremorr's Tower, go behind the tower.
   
   
4. Telekremorr's Tower, head to northwest corner exit.
   
   
5. In front of the second dungeon, requires the second Draoidh Stone fragment to lift the nearby boulder.
   
   
6. Inside the cave that connects Central Hills to Al'Kashmiri Basin (desert area). Check the ladder to the south.
   
   
7. In Al'Kashmiri Basin (desert area), in the cave with red shrine (cave to the northeast). Press on the switch on the east and run all the way to the north. Use Rune of Lethargy and charge your way through to make it easier.
   
   
8. This heart melon can be accessed from 2 places:
   1) Go inside the cave where the green shrine is and head to the west exit. Follow the path until you reach the heart melon.
   2) Go inside the cave with Shady Dealer (1 screen east from Comito Falls). You need to finish the fourth dungeon to access this heart melon so you can destroy the big boulder blocking your way. Follow the path until you reach the heart melon.
   
   
9. In Lake Comito, fall to the body of water near the short waterfall where a small island is located below in your map.
   
   
10. Head northwest from Lake Comito's jail. There should be a big boulder nearby. Pick it up to reveal a hole. Drop down and head to the next area. The heart melon is in the west exit.
    
    
11. In the red dungeon. Head south, then proceed to the southeast exit to press a switch at the end of the road. Return to the intersection and head to the northeast exit, the newly opened door. Go to the blue portal. From here, bomb the south wall.
    
    
12. In the island where the fifth dungeon is located.
    
    
13. In The Great Marsh, in the area around spinning flowers. You need to follow the body of water to reach it.
    
    
14. In Loth'Lena. After talking to your grandpapa, head northeast and climb 1 set of stairs. Head west afterward.
    
    
15. Head to Lake Comito, to the place with lots of islands. Head east from there to reach the north area of Llanfair. Before moving the screen, use your Climbing Gear to climb the cliff.
    
    
16. Requires Rune of Creation. Head to Al'Kashmiri Basin, near the pyramid. Use Rune of Creation to summon an ice block and throw it at the switch on the northwest of the pyramid area. The heart melon is blocked by a yellow pillar to the east.
    
    
17. Mount Comito (seventh dungeon), inside a bombable wall next to Chef.
    
    
18. Mount Comito (seventh dungeon), in the area after beating the boss.
    
    
19. Inside the orange dungeon. Head 1 screen south, bomb the west wall and proceed to there, then go 1 screen north.
    
    
20. The Red Regions, near the ledge to the north of Silton.
    
    
21. The Red Regions, go to the red shrine, then proceed to the eighth dungeon. Head northeast in the first intersection.

- Maximum Mana (Mana Orbs)

Acquire all of the Mana Orbs

1. See The Brothers Dimm achievement.
   
   
2. See You're A Thoughtful One. Kudos achievement.
   
   
3. Buy it from Crafty, in The Great Marsh near the exit to Loth'Lena.
   
   
4. Go to Loth'Lena. Head north to find Corrina inside a broken house, who is looking for her daughter.
   
   The daughter, Rita, is located west from the house, in the northwest corner from on the area, near a body of water. Talk to her and bring her to Corrina. Make sure Rita is inside the house to receive your reward.
   
   
5. Talk to Captain Ellison in the cave that connects to Al'Kashmiri Basin (desert area) and Central Hills. You'll receive a quest to find an escapee.
   
   He's located in Mount Comito - you'll recognize him as Chef, the only human in that place that isn't locked in jail. Talk to him and return to Captain Ellison for your reward.

Say 'Hello' to Kay


Go inside your home and use the back entrance. Talk to the dog.

Nuisance
Kick a Bokbok too many times


Spam A (E on the keyboard) to kick the chicken until it explodes. You can trap it near a dead end for easier kicking.

Sod Yourself
Get Grif arrested


Get shipping manifest in Llanfair, in the backyard of the house next to apothecary. Show it to any guard in the area.

The Brothers Dimm
Rescue the Dwarf Miner


Go 2 screens west from Llanfair. Enter the cave to the southeast. Bomb the wall next to the dwarf. You'll get the orb after entering the destroyed wall.

Satisfying
Kill 4 Mini Slimes with one Bomb


Find a green slime and split it into 4 pieces. The big slime can split into 2 and each split can split into 2 smaller ones. Do not slash these smaller ones since it will die instantly - instead, split the ones that split from the original slime. Use bomb afterward. I myself obtained the achievement from the slimes in Telekremorr's Tower.

The Case of the Rascally Rodax'
Acquire the Rune of Warding


Head 1 screen south from Telekremorr's Tower. Exit from the treestump in the northwest corner. Play Tilly's game and win the Golden Carrot.

Give the carrot to Hopdil in the cave where heart melon #2 is located to get Festering Onion. Now, head 2 screens west from Llanfair and enter the cave to the northeast. Give the onion to Mungo in the cave.

The Perpetual Sweeper
Break the Enchanted Broom's spell


Requires Rune of Embers. Head inside Telekremorr's Tower (the purple tower) and burn the broom.

Only Casuals Heal
Find the Rune of Vitality


After finishing the second dungeon, bomb the breakable wall on your way out right after the paved walkway ends.

Cure Derek


Derek is in the house south of the pub (southeast of blacksmith if you don't know where the pub is). Once you got the Magic Flask, use it on him.

Cousins? Brothers?
Meet all members of the Notap family


To be honest, I dont know if I listed all members of the families, or if Becca Notap counts since there are only 3 males in the achievement image, but you should get this if you talk to everyone that you meet. For reference, I got the achievement after talking to Kristov Notap. Here are all Notaps that I know:

• Benni Notap: in Llanfair. He's the merchant that you talked to when you buy a fish at the beginning of the game
  
• Legate Nichola Notap: in The Al'Kashmiri Basin, east (Elmer) camp. He's the man in front of a table with a map.
  
• Kristov Notap: in front of The Great Marsh. You'll eventually talk him to progress the game.
  
• Becca Notap: in Lake Comito, head east from the watery area where you have to walk while being hit by enemies that spawn in a water. She's on the island that connects to the north of Llanfair.

Wasn't It Obvious?
Learn the truth about Simmons


Enter the basement in Simmons' Estate located in Llanfair. You can access it by going northwest from the apothecary's east side, removing the big boulder on your path. The key to the basement is under the pot. Find another key to save the girl. There will be a "boss fight" afterward, but you should be fine.

The Bottom of This
Take the Memoirs of a Kobold to Mandy


In the green dungeon, use the stairs in the southeast from the entrance to go to B2 to get Memoirs of a Kobold. Give it to Mandy in Fengrileye Forest. Just head a bit to the northeast from the entrance, then follow the west path to reach her.

Odds and Ends, That Sort of Thing...
Acquire all of the Trinkets

• Runic Bracelet: buy it from Shady Dealer in Comito Falls. He's inside the cave that connects to Fengrileye Forest.
  
• Lucky Clover: find it inside the blue dungeon.
  
• Elbow Grease: give The Enchanted Ring to Kristov Notap in front of The Great Marsh.
  
• Heart Shaped Bead: find it inside the fifth dungeon (Mizu Temple).
  
• Bandana Starch: buy it from Shady Dealer in Comito Falls. He's inside the cave that connects to Fengrileye Forest.

Magical, Invisible Storage. As Usual
Purchase all 3 inventory upgrades from Crafty


Crafty can be found in The Great Marsh, east from Loth'Lena's south exit. Purchase Crafty's Bomb Bag, Bigger Quiver, and Potion Pouch from him.

Airo The Thief
Steal Benni's beads


Requires Climbing Gear. Head to Fengrileye Forest's west exit. Climb the cliff and open the chest. (optional) Talk to Benni in Llanfair for more oomph. You monster!

Chockers
Fill up Brucie's Tavern


Brucie's Tavern, The Wobbly Boat, is located east from the blacksmith in Llanfair. Talk to the man near the door to start a quest. You'll get the achievement after you finish it.

• Abdulla Alzaabi: head 1 screen east from Llanfair. Talk to the kid. The pub (The Wobbly Boat) in Llanfair is opening a job. Talk to the bartender and Abdulla, then visit the kid again in the pub.
  
• Lob: after you finish the fourth dungeon, head to Llanfair. There is an exit blocked by a big boulder somewhere to the west. Help Lob with his task (whether by doing the job properly or breaking everything) and he'll go to the pub.
  
• Shelby: finish the fifth dungeon.
  
• Chef + Captain Ellison: see mana orb #5.

Destiny, or Coincidence
Cure Plato and speak to him on Mount Comito


Again, I'm not sure if this is missable. It's probably not but you might want to do it just in case. You'll find Plato several times throughout the dungeons. Visit him in this order:

• The third dungeon: from the dungeon entrance, head 1 screen east and 1 screen north. You need to use your Magic Flask to water each edge of the contraption.
  
• The fourth dungeon: you don't need to do anything. He'll give you a hint on how to progress the dungeon and is located in the first room where you encounter a # hole.
  
• The fifth dungeon: he's located to your left at the dungeon entrance. Yes, he's turned to stone. Use Magic Flask on him.
  
• Mount Comito, the seventh dungeon: find him inside a jail where the switch is located. Talk to him until the achievement grants.

Guardian Of Engard
Do the things


Obtain all achievements. You can do it in multiple saves.

Items

As I played the game, I listed the items that I got, ordered by the time I received them. The list might help as a reference to get everything in the right order. Note that it doesn't include Heart Melons and Mana Orbs. The list might also be vague since it was only meant as a reference, though.

Golden Carrot
Head 1 screen south from Telekremorr's Tower. Exit from the tree stump in the northwest corner. Play Tilly's game and win it.

Sheet of Music
Head 1 screen south from Telekremorr's Tower. Enter the cave to the southwest corner. Bomb the wall to the north and explore the area until you find a chest. You'll have to battle a bandit near the exit, but he's easy to beat.

Adamantite Ingot
Head 2 screens west from Llanfair. Go north from the farm to the northeast.

Enchanted Scroll
Go to the cave for The Brothers Dimm quest and head to the other exit. Speak to the Red Nymph.

Rune of Embers
After getting Enchanted Scroll, return to Oakley (1 screen south from Telekremorr's Tower) and burn it.

Festering Onion
Give the Golden Carrot to Hopdil in the cave where heart melon cave #2 is located.

Rune of Warding
Go 2 screens west from Llanfair. Enter the cave to the northeast. Give the Festering Onion to Mungo in the cave.

Rune of Lethargy
Go 1 screen north from Llanfair, then head to the east exit following the stonewalk. Talk to the old hermit.

Purple Bead
See Performance Enhanced achievement.

Sword Pommel
Finish the purple dungeon.

Crest of a Shield
1 screen north from Telekremorr's Tower, next to the house.

Wooden Shield
Find it in the first dungeon.

Magic Shoelaces
Finish the first dungeon.

Light Crossbow
Find it in the second dungeon.

Rune of Vitality
See Only Casuals Heal achievement.

Brilliantite Ingot
Open the chest in the Lake Camito's prison. Make sure the knight isn't looking when you attempt it. Try to go near the knight to make him walk away to the left side.

Bottle of Light
See Upstream achievement.

Magic Flask
Find it in the third dungeon.

Adamantite Sword
Find it in the third dungeon.

Kobold Tech Rune
Talk to Mandy in Fengrileye Forest several times. Just head northeast from the forest entrance, then west to reach her.

Rune of Flight
Finish the fourth dungeon.

Green Bead
Clear the haunted house in Fengrileye Forest. Talk to Flabberggast at the rooftop to get the item.

Mythrilite Buttons
In the green dungeon, head south from entrance.

Memoirs of a Kobold
See The Bottom of This achievement.

Sword Hilt
Finish the green dungeon.

Rune of Haste
Buy from Shady Dealer in Comito Falls.

Runic Bracelet (trinket)
Buy from Shady Dealer in Comito Falls.

Bandana Starch (trinket)

Blue Bead
From south of Loth'Lena, head east until you find a body of water and 2 statues. Head north to find Fossegrimm. Give him Sheet of Music.

Sigil of Count Radion
Enter the Simmons' Estate's basement in Llanfair. You can access it by going northwest from the apothecary's east side, removing the big boulder on your path. The key to the basement is under the pot.

Lucky Clover
Inside the blue dungeon.

Sword Handle
Finish the blue dungeon.

Strange Apparatus
Finish pyramid optional dungeon.

Red Bead
Help Fripperyquipp in Al'Kashmiri Basin's oasis to get Strange Apparatus inside the pyramid dungeon. Requires Rune Kobold Tech.

Blade Fragment
Finish the red dungeon.

Heart Shaped Bead
Inside the fifth dungeon (Mizu Temple).

The Enchanted Ring
Finish the fifth dungeon (Mizu Temple).

Elbow Grease
Give The Enchanted Ring to Kristov Notap in front of The Great Marsh entrance.

Feel free to paste it on notepad and mark the ones that you have finished. Note that I only listed the ones that have reward or the ones that I found to be interesting.

Llanfair

() Obtain Shipping Manifest and give it to the nearby guard.
() Use Magic Flask to heal Derek's blind eye. His house is located southeast of where the blacksmith is.
() Bring more customers to the pub.
() Talk to the ghost in the northwest corner of the pub with Magic Flask.
() Visit Simmons' Estate after you get the ability to pick up big boulders.
() Visit Lod in Llanfair by lifting the big boulder blocking the west exit.

() Head 1 screen south from Telekremorr's Tower. Head to the tree hole in the northwest corner to find Tilly and win their game.
() Head 1 screen south from Telekremorr's Tower. Burn Oakley, the stump with a hammer, with Enchanted Scroll.
() Retrieve Sheet of Music from the cave to the southwest corner, located 1 screen south from Telekremorr's Tower.
() Break the Broom's curse in Telekremorr's Tower with Rune of Embers.
() Pray in the purple shrine.

() Buy all unique items from Shady Dealer, located in the cave to the northeast corner of Comito Falls.
() After you have bow, head inside the cave that has a lot of statues in the front of it, which is located straight from Llanfair's north exit.
() Find a hermit's house to the east to get Rune of Lethargy. Look for the stonewalk for guidance.

() Talk to Legate Nichola Notap near the east camp.
() Report to Captain Ellison in the cave leading to this area once you find Chef.
() Help Fripperyquipp to get Stealing Apparatus from the pyramid dungeon. He'll be waiting in the oasis.
() Pray in the red shrine.

() Talk to Cartwright.
() Figure out a way to explore the locked jails. It can be accessible from the clearing located northwest of the jail.
() Give Sheet of Music to Fossegrimm. In order to reach him, head east from The Great Marsh's entrance until you find a body of water and 2 statues. Head north to reach his house.
() Cure Plato with Magic Flask in the fifth dungeon.
() Find The Enchanted Ring in the fifth dungeon for Kristov Notap. He'll be waiting in front of The Great Marsh entrance.
() Climb the climbable track, located east from where you have to walk between water, near the nearby island that connects to the north of Llanfair.

() Find Mandy and talk to her several times to get Kobold Tech Rune.
() Explore the haunted house.
