• Parents do not care about your studies as much and are half as mad if you disappoint them. You can fill your schedule with more entertainment and still keep them happy.
  
• They will basically not stop you from talking with your friends no matter what. They could theoretically stop you, of course, but you'll have to waste more energy on friends than one turn gives you.

Family Business

Parents want you to follow in their footsteps.

• You need less knowledge to learn same skills as your parents. However, all other skills wil require more. Rather harmful than helpful - all top skills have 100,000 stat norm, which is impossible to acquire during normal playthrough, which means that you're spending 999 knowledge to unlock these anyway.
  
• Your daddy will unlock 4 different skills for you during the playthrough. Namely, Financing 101, Basic Sketching, Product Positioning, Persuade. In this order. If you buy them beforehand - you waste money, but not turns.
  
• If you fail your parents' expectations, they will cut your allowance by half.
  
• Random chance to get 2 favors instead of one.
  
• You get unique dialogue when choosing to follow the same profession as your parents. All of them exude typical chinese parents energy, but it's a nice extra bit of content. Perhaps you will be the first person to see Family Business dialogue for Average Joe route, mmm?

Proposal success chance doesn't mean anything, it's determined beforehand and never changes. I noticed it after forcequitting 5 times and failing to propose to a character with 83% success chance. That means you can't save scum to get the spouse you want, so save yourself some trouble.
