Advice: Builds & Stats 📈

Sooner or later you will find out that Melee has a really hard time.
..Whirlwind (aka Spin2Win/Cyclone) works but is rather tedious.

Regarding Melee: 
1. this game is Anti-Melee
2. the only exception is a dedicated Support-TANK in 3+ Party (ideally WhirlWind build) 

Undecember favours RANGED (Archer, Mage)

• Best Archer in this game = GLASCANNON
  
• Best mage in this game = GLASCANNON

Typical dmg @Endgame is 200-800k (90% 1hit) ..#top builds 1-5M

Stats

Note: Pump your primary Stat, secondary only the points needed for Gear/Runes !!
Note 2: Don´t go Hybrid-build and spec all Stats (unless 100% Coop Support)

Example (Mage):
You need some HP, so (INT) 3:1 (STR) is very solid ..forget DEX
Tbh, the important Runes already force you to go 65% INT
eg: Lv.85 Rune requires ~250 INT
Around Lv.90 300+ INT is pretty standard for mages. Get there and have fun.. ^^

🚫 Limitations

Party XP - stay within the 7 level gap.. or everyone(!) gets zero XP
Party Droprate - no multiplied Droprate, but increased Quality/Rarity
Blocked Players - can still end up with you in Auto-matchmaking content (Raids, Spire of Barrier)

No direct Trading - only Auction House (requires Rubies)
Auction House Payout - the delay was increased shortly after Release (2days wait)
Rubies - all Rubies ingame are converted from Cash (RMT).. buy Diamonds -> convert to Rubies
AH Fee (15%) - yes, no joke ..Floor games gets a cut from each transaction (-> double-dipping!)

In short:

Legendary > Rare > ... *Unique > Magic

* Unique items are good to level your Alts or build cheap Gold-Farmers.. but mostly placeholder

• Legendary Gear = "Rare +2 Exclusive Options" (= 8 Options)
  
• Rare = up to 6 Options
  
• Magic = up to 3 Options

Options are item-class dependent. Example:

• Armor/Shield/etc get defensive bonuses ..like Resistance/Evasion/Dmg-Reduction
  
• Weapons get offensive bonuses ..like Dmg/AoE/Range
  
• Jewelry comes with support bonuses ..like short Buffs, Regen/Healing, boosts for DPS

Note: Crafting your Gear is well worth it in UNDECEMBER.
This includes re-crafting "Legendary" (Endgame) + "Authority" (late Endgame)

IMPORTANT: 
Once you start running Maps (Chaos Cards), you have to decide on a BUILD.
Then farm the correct CHARMS + GEAR for your Build.
1. because the best gear is related to the 12 Gods
2. every God has their own special domain bonus.

Charms (unlocked after finishing Story)

Note: Charm Storage also works for Chaos Orbs & Chaos Stars !!

• obtained from Chaos Dungeon (->running Maps)
  
• Charm Slots (Circle): Lv.4/6/8/10/14/20
  
• Center Charm (Chaos Star): very important -- almost doubles Blessing Effect
  (..finishing Act 11 rewards a Legendary Charm)
  
• Charms are connected to one of the 12 gods and come with a Blessing Effect
  
• Blessing Effects have milestones and become very powerful.. once you fused a Chaos Star
  
• Hint: remember to filter(!) Chaos Cards that have a high chance to drop the related god´s Charm

Pro tip: at some point Charms will increase your overall DPS by 20-30% !!
-> make 100% sure to use the correct Charms you want for your BUILD

WARNING: removing a Charm will destroy it !!!

Authority Gear (Late Endgame Gear)

Well, for a long time.. many players will not see this and most will definitely not own a full Set

• requires Chaos Stone (also called God´s Resonance Stone) is aquired from SHOP or Loot
  ["God´s Resonance Stone (xxx)" ..where xxx= one of the 12 gods]
  
• Rare Chaos Cards can be combined with a Chaos Stone to create a special Authority Dungeon, additionally to the normal Dungeon you will find another portal to the "Unstable Realm"
  
• Unstable Realm:
  Authority Monsters (gods from the Chaos Stone) have a low chance to drop Authority Gear and Chaos Orbs (required to create your Chaos Star)

Authority Gear: similar to Legendary Gear it has some Exclusive Authority Options
(..the Authority Exclusives [Unique] are determined by the God and their related domain) 

Pro tip: You really need Chaos Statue Lv.20 (max) to farm Authority Monsters efficiently

[Oct. 28 Server Patch]
- Chaos Card Enhance Statue level condition will be changed from Lv.10 to Lv.1.
- The drop rate for Chaos Key [Madness] will be raised.

Important Notes:

• Card-Level determines Monsterlevel in the dungeon
  
• Magic (or higher) Chaos Cards need to be identified to reveal all modifiers/rewards
  
• Rare (or higher) Chaos Cards can be grown once identified
  
• Grown Cards spawn special monsters + guarantee(!) Treasure Chests with small chance for unique/legendary + more Sanctums
  
• Chaos Daily Missions: best rewards are GuildTokens + StarCrystals

Pro tips: Don´t buy DarknessEnergy from Shop to grow Cards, you find enough in dungeon.
Try to synthesize a Card´s Rarity & Tier to make it worthwile and clear inventory!
Also don´t waste Identify Scrolls on MAGIC Cards.

🔸 Spire of Barrier (Wave Defense mode)

Note: you are locked in the chosen difficulty till next day (Reset) !!

DPS calculation of Undecember is tricky and the ingame values shown often incorrect(!)
Just remember:

%Amplification > %Increase >= Multiplier > Flat/Bonus > BASE

*Dmg-Reduction is similarly powerful as Amplification (but has diminishing returns)

Macros (+Scripts)

1. Simple Macros:
   All sorts of QoL Shortcuts ..usually Keybinds.
   Example: Using the well-known program AutoHotkey to set Hotkeys is safe,
   BUT if you use AutoHotkey to automize multiple Macros via SCRIPT you risk BAN.
   
   
2. Advanced Macros:
   Here starts the tricky part. Depending on your Hardware still legit.
   Using MouseRecorder, etc it becomes more likely to be considered cheating.
   I suggest to read Terms of Service (ToS) ..check ->Links
   
   
3. Complex Macros / Scripts:
   CLICK CLICK CLICK is annoying? You want 1-button-QoL-Inventory-Dump ??
   The only workaround is advanced Macros, but that is a grey area.

👾 nProtect vs AntiVirus 👾

nProtect is not just a simple Anticheat, it comes with other "features" (capabilities) that have side-effects on your whole system !!

• restricts other 3rd-party-programs (Audio/Video tools, Drivers, ..)
  
• monitors all activities of your device (PC/Phone)
  
• Keylogger, etc ..prevents undesired Input
  
• ..also creates Backdoors
  
• thorough deletion is complicated, even the leftover bits can pose a lingering threat

Your AntiVirus detects nProtect and goes nuts ??
Correct so. On a Win10/11 system you have to decide, if you want to give permissions.
Personally, I dislike such stuff on my system and the average consumer should be very careful.
Mobile version of Undecember on Android (Google Playstore) is actually safer because any Linux-based OS has ways to restrict even Rootkits. That said you can limit nProtect, which allows.. -and I shouldn´t leave it unmentioned in this context- ..CHEATING with much less effort than on a Windows-based system.

October 30, 2022 Enemy targeting is so bad it has to be intentional. Hit the thing hitting you? No, the stack of wooden crates that are completely off screen are the real threat. Hit the boss? Nope, you're on add duty. Screen shows what you're targeting? Doesn't matter, you'll attack literally anything else. The very core of the game is just fundamentally broken.

October 28, 2022 Great potential with a but. That being it's buggy. Like really buggy. Like just started the game and am following the tutorial and picked up a weapon, but it won't let me even open my inventory because that doesn't acknowledge when you tap on it. Which sucks. Because I'm trapped. Unable to progress and don't want to delete my character just to have to restart and have this repeat.

October 28, 2022 The graphics are very decent and I appreciate the storyline. The design is good, visually very pleasing. The open world is nice. The game has also been optimized, I think, because it runs much better now. There's still a bit of lag that happens sometimes, but that's not too bad and I hope that it'll be fixed eventually, considering that the game is still new. 5/5 gameplay otherwise! EDIT: The connectivity has gotten really bad. The game doesn't work even when everything else does. Please fix.

October 21, 2022 So far so good for me. Haven't gotten far enough to know if it's pay to win or not, but it seems fairly balanced. The gameplay is basically Diablo, with a skill system that's close to Path of Exile's. Plenty of variation as far as skills and set-ups. Loot to get and enhance. Has partial controller support, only for combat. Menus must be navigated by touch, which I hope they imporve upon. Don't like having to put down the controller to pick up my phone just for inventory stuff. Good game so far.

October 17, 2022 I hate only giving one star. This looks like it could be a great game. However, I can't play it. Never gets past the updating resources screen. I've let it sit for over an hour. Have good wifi, so it's not a connection problem. Please fix and I'm sure I could rate it higher. But not being able to play at all is the only reason I'm only giving it a one.

October 16, 2022 The game is pretty good. A few issues at least for mobile anyway. Auto targetting doesn't do its job very well. You can try and force it to work but it will still aim a different direction for no reason. The malicious micro transactions are a pain too. The shop is very over priced for the tiny amount you get. And they lock certain things behind pay walls like auto looting. You have to pay basically a subscription to have it. Stash space and inventory space is limited as well also pay walled.

October 15, 2022 I really like the game it's pretty smooth as far as graphics go, and I have not encountered any bugs so far. Story is actually interesting, and I usually skip story lines. At first it was a bit difficult to navigate but I got a hang of the rune system and how they work, which is easy as you get the hang of things. Potions are keeping me alive, rarely have any deaths. Only thing I would like to see, is a way to earn diamonds without spending a whole lot. Other than that, pretty solid game so far!

Fun but….
First off hats off the the devs this was my first Argp an I absolutely love everything about it. A few packages in shop you can buy that gives you a small boost ahead but far from p2w. I’ve spent prob 80$ it happily satisfied with all I bought but today I think it’s time to uninstall the game. The auction house using rubies(real money currency) is very umm how can I say not what players want. There should be an option to sell for gold as well not just rubies. 2nd and main reason I’ve decided to let the game go is it just get too difficult beyond act 6+ for melee chars or medium range chars. Regular mobs have auras that you cannot build any resist against and depletes your hp in less than 10 seconds and have movement speed buffs where you can’t run from them. Boss fights are suppose to be difficult but they kinda took it too far on here with some being as almost all the bosses 1 shot you if you get hit no matter what type build you go unless it’s full tank, an even then you down if a few hits. I’ve noticed in discords this is one of the main reasons players are quitting I hope the devs see this and think about their designs and make some adjustment to the enemies as it is a great game but some of the difficulties just make it not worth even playing anymore.

On the bright side, the bigger part of the playerbase uses Floor or GooglePlaystore (Android). That said Android is Linux based, meaning nProtect is no issue and you can bot, multi, makro, etc ..aka play as you want ^_^

They fked up Steam, yes. But overall the game is solid, if you don´t mind the Grind and look for a *temporary PoE alternative (as in Path of Exile paying makes it more fun)

Regarding Reviews (which is a good Index):
Appstore is literally dead, Google Playstore with medium 3 digits/week better than Steam.
..Korean version also had decline after 3-5months. Many Casuals drop out because of Story finished, few builds tested, other new games, etc..
Line launcher: no numbers, but quite some players -- especially since Steam-Linking changes

-> Overall strong decline since the Hype is gone and BlackFriday event was the last good thing, but still consistant Playerbase for such niche games (Hardcore Pay2Progress Freemium titles) in ARPG section.

• On all Platforms this game had a Playerbase like Wolcen (6 digits). Btw Wolcen lost 90% of the playerbase after 1 month and current Reviews ~56%! Decent now, but lack of interesting Endgame resulting in only few hundred players that still bother after 3 years
  
• Even comparing to LostArk (the other Korean title atm) not too shabby. Despite AMAZON putting tremendous amounts of money into LostArk, the real playerbase is mid-5digits.. or do ppl really think that game got 120k new players in last 2 months
  
• compared to #no.1 PathOfExile (low-mid 5digits without Bots) also not bad, as just 10% of PoE 2-3months after Release already means success for any competitor

Ep III (Act11) is scheduled "soon" (weeks) ..might bring back a good chunk of players (at least temporarily) and everything else depends on how much Undecember will press the SHOP..

Disclaimer: This is a personal observation from someone unrelated to the above games/companies. Your opinion might differ, but even 5-20k players are quite a number for any MMO as several Lead developers of different games pointed out in recent years.

UPDATE: discontinued after 5 months. Season 1-7 was ok, but overall EP III (Act 11) marked a turning point. Cash$hop changes + Grind mechanics (ChaosStatue, Spire) that are not qualified to waste time + server issues.. these are the last nails in the coffin
