First ensure Windows integrity
First things to do is to ensure Windows integrity to do this, we'll have to run a Command Prompt (cmd) as administrator.
  • Type/copy in the following code:
    sfc /scannow
    If this results in "Found corruption but couldn't restore the files" please run next command:

  • Type/copy in the following code:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    There is NO downside to running this command at any given time, it'll find and fix problematic system files by comparing to online files.

  • Ensure Windows DirectX components are installed and updated: LINK[www.microsoft.com]
    this is to ensure DirectX has all files and sys files needed to run games, normally not needed but doesn't hurt to do.

Other missing components (Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes) could be installed with All-in-One tools like:

FPS boost / shader cache clear
TRY:
  • (NVIDIA) Locate the folder;
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\NVIDIA\DXCache
  • (AMD) Locate the folder;
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\AMD\DxCache
    Note: AMD also offers a button that does this for you. "Reset shader cache" the option is named.
  • Game shaders folders:
    %userprofile%\Saved Games\Shatterline\LIVE2NAL32J2WI\user\cache
  • Where the files with a15f919d5ab57a19 at the end are the Shatterline Shaders.
  • Delete all as shown, then start Shatterline.
WARNING:
This may/will cause temporary stuttering at the start while the new cache(s) generate.

Resolution incorrectly display / zoom / stretch
TRY:
  • Navigate to %localappdata%\Shatterline\2961AB5C4C274EAB9B13CCC6A9306D6A\0
  • Locate 'game_settings_local_publisher.savedata'
  • Change lines 17 ("resolution_height": "1080") & 18 ("resolution_width": "1920")
  • Save and close, boot Shatterline
VOIP issues
TRY:
  • System > Sound
  • Set Default Device to your main Device for both Output and Input
  • Restart Shatterline.
Potential game stutter fix
TRY:
  • Shatterline Settings
  • Select 'Windowed Borderless'
  • Select capped FPS, set to highest number possible.

Otherwise attempt the shader cache clear from this guide.
blue screen of death / BSOD
TRY:
  • Device Manager > Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller > Disable
- Warning this may disable your network adapter that allows you to get online.

ALTERNATIVE:
  • If you are using a wi-fi stick, 4G modem or a phone connected via USB to share the internet with a PC.
  • Try Tcpip-sys [www.thewindowsclub.com]
  • if not using those things, try BSOD [www.makeuseof.com]

ERROR-10-10

  • Verify integrity of game files on Steam

IF ABOVE FAILS:

  • Navigate to the game folder on your computer (the usual path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Shatterline).
  • Locate the file installscript.vdf there and open it with Notepad or any other text editor.
  • There under the heading “”eos_anticheat_install” you will see two lines: process 1 and command 1.
  • Command 1 will have the text “install a_string_of_numbers_and_- letters”.
  • You need to copy this text in the quotation marks, but without the actual quotation marks.
  • Now navigate to the EasyAntiCheat folder in the game folder you are already in.
  • You need to launch the EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe with the parameters you’ve just copied. Run CMD and execute the file.
  • The command will look something like that: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Shatterline\EasyAntiCheat\ EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup install a_string_of_numbers_and_- letters.

  • Hit Enter, and the anti-cheat will be installed.
(EAC) launch error
TRY:
  • There are also a few other troubleshooting methods you can do for example navigating to both:
  • Download EAC[download.eac-cdn.com]
  • EAC Alternative Download[download-alt.easyanticheat.net]
  • These should return with 200 - HTTP OK if they are valid

OPTION 2:
  • Updating windows.
  • I know this sounds dumb, but sometimes EAC updates and breaks for windows versions
  • If you are on the latest versions try updating your redistributable here[support.microsoft.com]

OPTION 3:
  • If you've done that and it still isn't working try running a Windows Installation repair by doing this:
  • Run Command Prompt as Administrator
  • Execute:
    sfc /scannow
  • After that's done try:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

OPTION 4:
  • Then last but not least, make sure your anti virus isn't messing with stuff, it's possible it's database updated and is trying to quarantine things unnecessarily

(EAC) Kicked by anticheat / Error Code 30005
This could be caused by a corrupted Windows installation and/or by EAC being corrupted (or removed because of another removal of the game)

Recommended to reinstall with the EAC installer within the Shatterline folder. You can find this folder within the steamlibrary installation location:
example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Shatterline\EasyAntiCheat

If the tool doesn't run with a GUI; try the following:

open up Command Prompt as administrator and goto the shatterline folder; IE:
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Shatterline\EasyAntiCheat"
cd standing for 'change directory'
it should now display the folder Infront of any command you type indicating you're inside that folder.

to remove/uninstall:
.\EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe uninstall 0cbc7c03131b479ab1e5ec67f4da4290

Restart your system.

to install:
.\EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe install 0cbc7c03131b479ab1e5ec67f4da4290

Restart your system to ensure the service is proper and start Shatterline should work/behave as normal/expected.
