Why this bug happens?
This bug happens to me when I play with friends who are on the same Wi-Fi network as me. I’m no networking expert, but I diagnosed the problem in older cods and the same problem persists whenever I try and join someone whose on the same Wi-Fi network as me. I believe this occurs because Activision servers registers your user id by your Wi-Fi’s Ip not your computer’s Ip address. This causes issues because the game thinks your trying to join yourself and that’s why the issue occurs. I conducted multiple tests in every cod before bo3 and the same issue occurs and I’m 99% sure this is the reason.

How to fix the issue
To fix the issue we must trick the servers by changing are ip address. This is where Hamachi comes in. If your not familiar with Hamachi it’s a program were you can host your own private servers for free. Download it from http://vpn.net After you install the program create an account then create your own network. After that make sure your friend has Hamachi downloaded and he is going to join your network. Wants your friend is successfully in your network, launch bo3 and invite your friend to a private match and he will be able to join successfully!!
