Walk Slowly with Keyboard - Arkham Origins

~ This is how it happened. This is how the Batman walked on PC. ~

Here is how to walk slowly in Arkham Origins, just like on console version with a controller stick, only "keyboard & mouse" style!

Step 1

Open:
Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config\DefaultInput.ini

Step 2

Sadly, since Arkham Origins, there is no option for a directional walk (W-A-S-D + Shift).
Specifically in Origins, key modifiers were not even implemented in game mechanics.
I will stick to the layout of a forward walk with Shift & Alt.

Put these lines in section [BmGame.RPlayerInput], under the last ".DefaultAbilities=" line:

.DefaultAbilities=(AbilityName="Walk",Key="LeftShift",Key2="Unbound",Command="Axis aBaseY Speed=0.65", )
.DefaultAbilities=(AbilityName="SlowWalk",Key="LeftAlt",Key2="Unbound",Command="Axis aBaseY Speed=0.3", )

Step 3

Launch the game, open Controls settings and reset them to default.

Layout:

Shift	Walk forward
Alt	Slow walk forward

Note: After that, walk keys can be rebound via in-game menu. Search the bottom action keys, they are named in raw formatted text.
