Magpie's Oceanic Armor Set

Açıklama
A new full set of ocean-inspired armor to give the gorgons a taste of their own salty medicine.

Hunters can now choose Rayskin (Tier 1) and Sharkskin (Tier 2), a close-fitting set made from fish leather. A bustier for the female body and linothorax for the male body are made from whole-fish pieces, as are the shin guards of the high strapped gladiator sandals. Other elements are dyed sharkskin. Underneath, a close-fitting suit of cloth increases the coverage; it has flared and slashed upper sleeves for a bit more style. Tier 2 adds archery arm-guards and changes out the plain cord ties holding it all together for purpose-made gold hardware and gold-thread-and-pearl trimmings.

Mystics have Shoreshell (Tier 1) and Gulfshell (Tier 2), a layered outfit with a voluminous draped top. Protective seashell jackchains are sewn into the sleeves, and a free-hanging seashell codpiece accents the layers on the lower body (a kilt for the masculine body, a mermaid-cut petticoat for the feminine). Sandals and a matching wide choker complete the ensemble. Tier 2 swaps the ragged overskirt for a sleek teal one stamped with a scale pattern.

Warriors may select Tidescale (Tier 1) and Tempestscale (Tier 2). This armor set begins with a basic chain drape from the waist, allowing free leg movement, and a distinctive set of webbed-foot boots. Tier 1 has a chain-and-scale "scarf" that drapes over the back and shoulders and is cinched on with tied cord and cloth. Tier 2 upgrades to a fitted mail cuirass with tinted lining emphasizing a jagged front closure.

All armor copies the stats from basegame armor sets to avoid changing the game balance.

Look for coordinating augments and a Halloween mermaid set coming to match this soon!

@Tengo I'm not sure why that happens, no, but I've noticed it too! I *think* part of it is that "armor" the category is added to the loot mix as many times as there are available pieces, which makes it appear that adding an additional armor set roughly doubles the chances of armor per se showing up. I could be wildly off base on that, though; I haven't tackled figuring out what all the loot numbers do yet. If you figure it out, please tell me.

As far as augments, honestly I think it's simply the whims of the random number generator plus the fact that there are roughly 3 of any augment in the base game -- so adding, say, three more scarves will double how often you see a scarf drop. It does seem to me that there's something else going on with armors, though.

(Anything that includes tier 3 armor is going to show up a LOT in late game, too -- which is part of the reason I only do the two tiers.)

I've been having a concern for this mod, and a couple other mods that include armors or trinkets with item drop chances for clearing out an area.

As it is, I receive these items as drops far more frequently than any other kind of drop. Do you know any way to make them less likely, or more rare as possible loot? I never quite understood the numbers in the mod menu. That range from 0 to 1000+, those ones. Would adjusting those values make certain mods drop more frequently/sparsely?
