This guide shows you how to do it the right way!

Update: They made this guide ultimately irrelevant/useless since they changed the purchase options and now you can actually see everything a deal offers you by simply clicking a button
So yeah, this guide is now pointless lmaooo

Today they announced that Guilty Gear Xrd would be getting rollback netcode implemented soon, with the open beta starting in late october, and with that, a lot of people are returning to the game, and a lot of people are also planning to buy the game, either for themselves, or for their friends since they're able to play their favorite fighting game with a good netcode

But when you go to the store page, you can see that there's tons of options when it comes to purchasing Guilty Gear Xrd, and you're not sure what's the best deal

Don't worry, I'll explain it all to you so you know exactly what you're getting

Also, be aware that Guilty Gear Xrd goes on sale very frequently, and usually for a very cheap price, so if you're willing to be patient, you can get the full game for around 8 or 10 bucks on a good sale, so keep that in mind.

The Options

tl;dr if you're lazy and don't like reading

Just buy the third option, which is GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR- (+DLC Characters) + REV 2 All-in-One (does not include optional DLCs) since it gives you everything you need for the best price, but if you want the superficial stuff, just buy the fourth option, which is a little more pricey but gives you it all.

The First Option

This is the regular full game, Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-, which does not contain the newest and final revision of GGXrd, Rev 2

This only contains the base game, which really isn't worth it, considering all of the stuff you're missing from Rev 2 and it's DLCs, like characters, improved arcade mode and better balancing, don't buy this one.

The Second Option

This gives you the base game, and some of the DLCs (5 characters and 5 colors for each character, 2 stages and some other additional stuff)

Since it doesn't give you Rev 2, which is NECESSARY if you want to play this game's online mode, since the -REVELATOR- version of the game is effectively dead, with the userbase being non-existant at this point, and in general, Rev 2 enhances everything about the game, for offline play or otherwise, Don't buy this one.

The Third Option

This contains the base game, Rev 2, and all of it's DLCs, excluding the unlockable content you can unlock in-game and a few optional DLCs

This is by far the best deal, and what you're probably looking for, specially if you don't mind the optional DLCs, not only you get the best price, but you also get the best deal if you're just looking for the full experience and don't mind missing out on optional stuff, this is probably the deal you'll want to get.

The Fourth Option

This contains essentially everything, the base game, Rev 2, and all of the DLCs, including the optional stuff

If you don't want to miss the optional stuff, and don't mind paying a little extra for what's essentially some extra flavor in your game, this is what you should get, otherwise, just get the third option instead.
