"The return of a classic. The Renault R26 was the second car with which Fernando Alonso won his second F1 world title. The car, weighing just over 600kg and powered by the Renault RS26 2.4L V8 engine built mainly from carbon fibre, allowed Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella to win a total of 8 races out of 18 in the 2006 season and to win the world title among constructors and drivers (Fernando Alonso)
