Figment Achievements

Throughout the game you will obtain figments, which cannot be missed. There are also hidden figments, which can be missed, but for achievements you need to find 1, 4 and 10 hidden Figments. Here is a list of the hidden figments and the story related figments.

Obtain Comradery

Cannot be missed
You will get this in Chapter 1 after talking to Mary for the second time, when Michael runs away again.

Obtain Callousness

Cannot be missed
You will get this in Chapter 1 when talking to Mary after waking up outside of Adrians house.

Obtain Solitude

Cannot be missed
You will get this in Chapter 1 right before going into the Cave of Delusions with Frank.

Obtain Spite

Cannot be missed
You will get this in Chapter 1 right before you and Shirley explore the Soggy Swamp, after Adrian pushed you off the cliff.

Obtain Annoyance

Cannot be missed
You will get this in Chapter 2 when you (Mary) and Michael are walking over the bridge, after Mary complains about her headache.

Obtain Trust

Cannot be missed
You will get this in Chapter 2 after you (Mary) beat the apparition, which Mary saw Linda as, in front of the Deputy's office.

Obtain Jealousy

Cannot be missed
You will get this in Chapter 4 after you (Adrian) are done fighting your figments in the realm.

Get a Full Party of 4

Cannot be missed
You will get this when you obtain your fourth figment.

Hidden Figments

Hidden figments can be found different places throughout the game. They are gravestones with a figment on it, to obtain it you have to defeat the figment. For the achievements you just need 1, 4 and 10 Hidden Figments, but there are more than 10, so don't worry if you miss one.

Apparition Achievements

You will meet apparitions throughout the game. When you are close to one, colors will start to fade and the sound of a heartbeat will get stronger. These cannot be missed!

Defeat the Sanguine Apparition

Cannot be missed
In Chapter 1, when you and Mary are going through Strand Beach, looking for Adrian, you will encounter this apparition. Defeat it and you will get the achievement.

Defeat the Fungal Duo

Cannot be missed
In Chapter 1, when you and Shirley are going through the Soggy Swamp, you will encounter the Fungal Duo. Defeat them and you will get the achievement.

Defeat the Player Apparition

Cannot be missed
In Chapter 2, when you (Mary) and Michael are walking over the bridge and right after obtaining the Annoyance Figment, you will encounter this apparition on the other side. Defeat it and you will get the achievement.

Defeat the Barbed Apparition

Cannot be missed
In Chapter 2, when you (Mary) and Michael are looking for the Player and Linda in the Drylands, you will encounter this apparition. Defeat it and you will get the achievement.

Defeat the Flightless Apparition

Cannot be missed
In Chapter 4, when you (Adrian), Levi and Bill are going towards the cave in the Snowy Pass, you will encounter this apparition. Defeat it and you will get the achievement.

Defeat the Carnivorous Apparition

Cannot be missed
In Chapter 4, when you (Adrian) are in the Sourthern Outskirts and going towards the trail, you will encounter this apparition. Defeat it and you will get the achievement.

Defeat a Mimic

Mimics look like chests, which are also called Greedy Apparition. You will encounter these for the first time in the Mansion of Delusions, while searching for the three Keys of Delusions in Chapter 1. It is possible to miss these mimics while searching, but almost all chests are mimics besides the three chests that contains the keys. You can encounter other mimics later!

Defeat one and you will get the achievement.

Other Achievements

Forge an Aspect

In Chapter 1, Bill will introduce you to campfires and anvils. To forge an Aspect, you just need to use the anvil and have the materials for a recipe. Do it one time and you will get this achievement!

Forge 10 Aspects

Like the achievement above. Use the anvil and forge 10 aspects and you will get this achievement!

Forge 20 Aspects

Like the two achievements above. Use the anvil and forge 20 aspects and you will get this achievement!

Surprise Attack 5 Times

Thank you Gentlemandrew for clarifying this one!
To surprise attack, you need to walk into them either without them noticing you, or within a 1/2 second of them seeing you. To make it easier, you can move from a bush and then towards them! As long an enemy gets surprised, then it should count towards the achievement. Do it 5 times and you will get the achievement!

Stun Apparitions 15 Times

To stun an apparition, you just need to fill up the yellow bar below the appartition. This is done by attacking! The more you attack, the more the stun bar will increase and in the end the bar will be full! Do this 15 times and you will get the achievement!

Lockpick 5 Gates

There are many gates throughout the game! You can get this achievement by using keys or lockpicks, search around the areas to find keys/lockpicks. Then find a gate and open it with either a key or a lockpick, do this 5 times and you will get the achievement!

Start a Save File With Special Settings

When making a new save and picking difficulty, you will come across a Special Settings menu before starting the save. Pick a special setting and click confirm, then you will get the achievement!

“It is recommended that you keep all special settings off for your first play through”

Team Up with a Secret Partner

When reaching chapter 5, you can get companions. You just need to find a companion and ask it to follow you! As soon it follows you, you will get this achievement!

Hey there! Just providing assistance for your guide for one of the achievements. Spoiler warning, as always:

For the "Team Up with a Secret Partner" achievement, the image can be a bit misleading, as it is not obtained when you get the "Ligrou" figment in the Deep Toterwald in Chapter 5 (which bears that sprite), but rather by having a companion follow you in the overworld. I've been able to find 2 such companions (also in Chapter 5):

As for "Surprise Attack 5 Times", to get a surprise attack, you only need to walk into them either without them noticing you, or within a 1/2 second of them seeing you. Bushes make it easier, but not necessary.
