LOCATION OF KEYS (+Generator room)
Keys are a collectible in the game that allow the player to progress through the doors that require them, so it's more like a... "key" item badum tssss

Maybe for some of you, finding them is a pain in the ass, since there is no icon or anything to recognize which rooms spawn with them or which room has any key, nor any indication/hint that may lead to it, so i am bringing the location of the all 8 keys in the game

FIRST FLOOR

First floor keys' are a little bit easy, since all you need to do is to fight against some monsters in one room to get the first one

The next ones are obtained when you do a puzzle after fighting 3 enemies (you can do it without fighting them but... uhm, good luck doing it peacefully)

SECOND FLOOR

Second floor keys are also easy, although you will find more rooms that will make you fight against more monster, but in exchange you will be able to go inside of some "secret" or nearby rooms with items to recover both energy and/or some boosts for your equipment (like a rock)

The third set of keys can be found on one small puzzle after getting down the ladder

Next set is found right next to some rooms at the right of the store, same path will bring you back to it and let you go against Jonas (2nd boss of the game And Thirstchasm protagonist)

THIRD FLOOR

Third floor keys will require some more puzzles and patience, but nothing that can't be achieved

Simply put
The fifth set is obtained while going to the right side of the vents [don't say it] and passing through the trapdoors with pink mist on them

Next set of keys is going to ask for a small puzzle to be solved, which will lead to the next room with many trapdoors, time them perfectly and get to the blue box on the up-side

Generator Room

After you get the sixth key, you will notice that alongside the shop, there will be a big vent with a lockpad on it

When you open it, you will get access to the big generator room which needs to be destroyed (with swords... i mean, the iron sword you carry), which will then make a shortage on the entire floor/level (not the building tho), allowing you to go against Verdrake in the room that was once protected with electric wires

FOURTH FLOOR

This floor may be a pain in the ass for some, since there are a lot of platforms and parkour you will need to do in order of getting both keys and access to your last boss battle

Starting off with the right side (since i feel this is going to be less... painful to your patience), you will need to go from platform to platform until you arrive to the left side of the room, you will be able to see a doorframe where you can go in
And after defeating more monsters inside, you will get access to the seven key

The 8th key (and last one) is going to be on the left side of the map, all you need to do is to follow the room with some platforms and then go to the room with the conveyor belts, only then to get over the right side of the room and find another blue box (after [again] fighting some enemies)

FIFTH FLOOR

The fifth floor is where the last battle takes place, it just requires the 8th key to open the door that you will be granted the access to it
THE SHOP
The store is a small room on every level that grants the player with many things such as:
  • Allow you to upgrade your stats
  • Allow you to buy abilities
  • Buy items
  • Warp/Travel around levels where you have discovered the store on them
  • Kobold

How to unlock it

After going through the first door that needs a key on Level 2, you will encounter yourself on a room that's about to "colapse" so debris starts to fall (yes, it deals damage and somehow the monsters find you there if you manage to go energy 0 and... well, game over)

Managing to survive the room (not that hard tho) by going to the next room will meet you with an encounter where you would find 4 blue kobolds and 1 green kobold, which you will have to defend by defeating the other 4
When you defeat the last kobold, you will meet the green kobold "Ashe", who will give you a "thank you" after saving him

When the scene is over, you will be able to proceed to the next room, where you will find a shop (similar to the one on the first level) and a save kiosk infront of it; now both shops are unlocked and you will be able to use them at any moment, all you need to do is to go inside and you will be able to buy
Items available
The shop brings you access to almost every item that's usable on the game from your inventory, with
either of them being

  • Graham Cracker ($50) (depletes some of your lust)

  • Pizza ($50) (recovers some of your total HP)

  • Energy Drink ($100) (recovers your total HP and depletes lust)

  • Whetstone ($80) (Increases your damage for a short amount of time)

  • Padding ($80) (increases your defenses for a short amount of time)
Stats
Statistics are the basic skills the player has, such as damage, health, lust and "luck"
These stats can be checked on the "stats" menu, available on the Pause screen

every one of them can be increased up to 10 Levels, each level being more expensive than the last one of course:

  • Str: obviously refering to Strength, is the stat that determinates your damage against many enemies, achieving the LvL10 on it will let you oneshot them on a normal file and need to 2shot any monster on a NewGame+ file

  • Guts: the stat that determinates your health, increasing it can let you tank even some of the hits from the last bosses and survive many more hits on a NewGame+ file

  • Will: the stat that determinates how much lust can you take (in other words, how much time can you stand in the middle of a trap door emitting the pink mist or the pink mist emitted by avians [and also the lust you get while trying to recover from the "Topple" status while having an enemy by your side])

  • Luck: The game implies that simply put "the luckier you are, the better you are", but in other words (and data brought by Carpetwurm), Luck increases the % you have of getting a drop after beating a monster, plus how many items are dropped at once (which makes it the perfect skill to grind money alongside (It's a living)

With a small bonus of also affecting the attack pattern of certain enemies and bosses*
Skills
Skills are a set of upgrades (or abilities) that you can get for a certain amount of money, and they are stored forever (which means that once you get them, you get them without any drawback or time limit like the Padding or the Whetstone would do), they can be checked below the stadistics you have on the "Stats" menu

The skills that the game offers can help on many things in the gameplay, like:

  • Blunt Blows: Allowing the player to get a 20% chance of letting enemies to get topped with normal attacks (instead of needing to hit them on their back to topple them)+once you topple them, they won't go KO (so you will need to hit them again)

  • It's a living: Grants the player the ability of getting a stack of cash dropped once he gets topped/tops any monster, ideal for someone that needs money ASAP (although this iss one of the the most expensive skills in the game)

  • Know-It-All: the player is granted with a full view of the map menu... and that's it, you get to know the locations of some collectibles, bosses, stores and one collectible i consider this one to be one of the most useless skills in-game since you can pretty much just... Explore the areas and check for any secret since there's not a lot of chests or secret rooms; plus, it doesn't help for the secret room required for the secret ending

  • Macho: increases the knockback you deal to the enemies

  • Magnet: increases the radius of pickup with any item (healing or money)

  • Menacing aura: Doubles the amount of time the enemy stays on "topple" state

  • Monster mind: when entering a room, there is a chance of 30% with each monster to make them neutral (AKA, they won't attack unless you attack them)

  • Shaky legs: there's an additional chance that you will be topped by enemies with their normal attacks
THE RED STONE

The Red stone is the rarest item in the game, not being available at the store and only having the chance of acquiring 3 of them in the entire game

The redstone grants the ability of being inmune to any type of damage dealt by the environment (like gas pipes or electrical wires) or by normal attacks from both normal enemies and bosses

The easiest way of getting this item is to simply go to the location shown in the map, and resolve a small puzzle involving 3 levers and gas pipes

After you clear the pathway, just go down and you will find a small room with a chest inside of it, now you just need to open this chest and you will acquire the red stone

The last way of getting Lisa Lisa's favourite jewelry is going to be one that counts as an spoiler so, procceed further down of this guide at your own risk
NEWGAME+ (NG+)
After beating the game, you will be granted with the ending scene and the credits like any game would

But right after they end, you will also be granted with a notification telling you that you got a "NewGame+" file, which will we available to play after selecting a savefile to place it

NewGame+ is going to be a harder mode without any change to the lore (standalone), with enemies that will deal more damage, also having more health and a faster attack speed (way more on bosses, so get prepared for those)

In exchange of that, a NewGame+ will get any skill, stat and item you had on your last run, meaning that if you got

  • Will, Guts, Str at lvl5

  • Luck at lvl9

  • Monster mind

  • Know-It-All

  • It's a Living

  • 3 pizzas

That NewGame+ file you receive will have those exact items, stats and skills the next time you start

And it also does happen with a NewGame+ to a new NewGame+ (and yes, you don't get a NewGame++ file), meaning that if you increase from LvL5 to LvL10 those same abilities, they will be LvL10 on the next NG+ file you receive after beating the first NG+

NewGame+ files will be granted with your total hours on the last round plus some bars (-----) on it, since you haven't started the tutorial so you aren't even on Floor 0, you are going to be in the introduction again
SPOILERS AHEAD
From now on, everything below of this section of the guide can count as an spoiler, from non-lore related stuff to secrets fights, collectibles and easter eggs

So don't say i didn't warned you, plus it's better to try it by your own (unless you just gave up)

2nd version of the main menu
Small 3rd floor trick
A trick i didn't even knew about is that you can finish the 3rd floor (Hotel) in less than 5 minutes and go directly against Verdrake

What you need is a red stone, which like i said earlier, can be achieved on a normal run after doing a puzzle involving some gas pipes

Now, once you reach the 3rd floor, simply go to the room with the wires protecting Verdrake's door and consume the Red Stone, this will allow you to go in there without receiving any knockback or damage and having the possibility of, either getting a WR at any %, or just getting the 3rd floor finished in less than 5-7 minutes
EASTER EGGS
This game does count with some easter eggs that either affect your gameplay, or they just either unlock scenes for your gallery or they change some dialogues
P-AD CELLS
Throught the game you will find some rooms with a big capsule filled with a pink liquid-mist
Those are P-AD cells and are one of the few collectibles in the game

The purpose of the P-AD cells, besides of being a "collectible", is a very simple one breaking all of them will make the final boss battle, Ataraxios, way easier, since there will be no pink mist during the fight, allowing you to fight Ataraxios without worrying about Lust being increased every few seconds

The second purpose of them is to unlock certain paths and endings, which will make for a total of 4 endings, depending if you destroyed them all or if you didn't, and if you finished the side quest for a "gas mask"

You can check how many P-ADs do you have at the bottom of stats
Location of the P-AD cells
They are scattered around the game, but there are only 2 P-AD cells on every floor (for a total of 8)

FIRST FLOOR

The map of the first level, Ps are for rooms with P-AD cells on them

The rooms with the first(left) and second P-AD cell for the first floor (mid and right)

Small note on first floor

As you can see, the first floor has 3 Ps on it, which would mean that there are 3 P-ADs on that floor instead of 2

Well, that's not wrong but also not true
Both ways are linked to a door with a key, which means you have to unlock that door to get to said P-AD (or to simply advance through the game)
Problem is that every floor only has 2 keys, and this would mean that the first floor should get 3 instead of 2, which is not the case

Other than that, the door or path that you decide to unlock doesn't really matters on that, the P-AD you get to destroy is the one that the game will count, and the other one will simply not count
So don't panic, the first floor is the only one that has this small "issue" and it doesn't affect gameplay

SECOND FLOOR

The map of the second floor

The 2 P-ADs on the 2nd floor

THIRD FLOOR

The map of the 3rd floor

The 5th and the 6th P-ADs cells

FOURTH FLOOR

The map of the 4th floor

Both 7th and 8th P-ADs cells
Outcome of P-ADs
The outcome for destroying the 8 P-ADs cells is quite simple

A dialogue from Terry in the last battle with Ataraxios will be changed, referring to the player being able to destroying them all

After that, the battle will play "normally", with the exception of it being that there is no pink mist in the room (unlike the normal run that would result in the need of something to lower the Lust of the player, making it almost necessary to bring energy drinks for damage, lust and inventory space)

Ataraxios' power doesn't decrease with every P-AD cell destroyed, it just makes the last battle to be less hard on that matter and to not worry a lot about lust

And like i said earlier, depending on how many P-ADs cells you destroyed, you can achieve from 2 to 4 different endings at the end, quantity depending also on a Side quest that i will talk about later
Secret Names (dialogues)
Starting off with the names that wouldn't really have a big impact on your game, we have only 4 names on this list, although there are only 2 changes to 2 scenes (and not at the same file/time)

"Richter" or "Alucard" will change a line during the scene of Jonas' battle/Jonas' introduction (Boss of Level 2)

Meanwhile

"Chief" or "John" will change a line during the introduction of Ataraxios' battle (Boss of Level 4, last boss)
Secret names (Gameplay)
Now this is where things may be interesting for some, since the next 3 names allow you to get a boost in their respective way

"Link" will grant a boost of +2 levels on Guts (health)

"Zelda" will grant a boost of +2 levels on Will (resistance to lust)

"Ganon" will grant a boost of +2 levels on Strenght (haha, punches go oneshot[/b])

The next 3 names will unlock a secret that we are going to see later on, these names being "Marisa", "Cirno" and "Reimu"
SECRET BOSS
Out of 5 bosses, this one isn't (relatively) easy to find at the first glance, since it requires 1 out of 3 ways of unlocking it.

A menacing goat by the name of Rykah is going to be around the zone that has been presented, which will question why are you carrying a sword and will think that you only want to fightand this would count as the only scene that doesn't really involves male/male

Her fight is one of the hardest to win, since 2 ways of unlocking her are going to be something that may ruin your battle against her; plus his attack patterns are something that no other monster nor boss has in the entire game, requiring to learn them only then to dodge and survive a lot of her knive attacks... and by that i do seriously mean it (Pet's shop non-canonical sister)

My personal recommendation is, try to remember every attack she has, go with your live being at the fullest it can be
And if you are over the NG+ save, grab some energy drinks before re-starting the game (before ataraxios battle, 3 drinks would be enough but 4 would be perfect)

And with that said, let's check the 3 steps you can do to unlock her battle
Tutorial way
The first way of getting Rykah's fight unlocked, is to simply play the tutorial
But now, instead of playing it "normally", what you need to do is to defeat every kobold on the level, at the same time you avoid taking damage

After getting to the first kiosk, just save your game and go back to the room where you get the first scene (The kobold's ambush scene)

When you arrive to the room, you will see some "ladders" or a small staircase on the floor, that's the entrance to Rykah's room, simply stay on top of them and you will entry to the room

I consider this path to be the "fastest" way of getting it, since you can achieve it on a normal run
Only downside is that, if you aren't adapted yet to the combat and rolling mechanic of the game, it may be a bit difficult to achieve the tutorial without any damage
If you fail to either eliminate every kobold on the rooms or to make it perfectly without any damage, Rykah's room will be locked and you will need to restart all over again (if you are invested on getting the fight, if you don't and it's your first game... just, keep playing, there are 2 more ways and one can be get on the future)
Secret Names (Boss)
So, do you remember that we talked about "Cirno", "Marisa" and "Reimu" being secret names? well, what these names grant is the ability of unlocking the secret fight on the first 5 minutes of your playthrought

I consider this one to be the "easiest and faster" way of unlocking the fight against Rykah's, since there isn't a lot of requirements here

All you need to do is to name the bnnuy with any of those 3 names, get ambushed by the kobolds and simply leave and re-entry the room, and you will see the entrance being on the same spot that i have already shown

Downsides of this path is that you will start with 0 benefit, nor upgrades to your health and strength and basic items to none to recover your life during the battle

Although the Upside is that this can be achieved on a normal save, which means that Rykah's fight isn't going to be harder
Plus, unlike the first way of unlocking it, you just need to leave and re-enter the room, without needing to do the tutorial
NewGame+ way
The last way of getting Rykah's fight would be a bit boring to some, and for some others it would be considered "easier"

But simply put, all you need to do is to beat the game on a normal run/game and then re-start from a NewGame+ save file (the blue one you got at the end of the game)
Get ambushed once again by the kobolds after getting the sword, and leave the room, only to re-enter again and see the staircase on the floor (just like the second way of getting it)

Although it happens on a NewGame+ (which means enemies have more strength and health), i personally think this one can be the "easier" way of getting it, yet not the fastest one since it may took more than 2 hours to get it

But the upside to it is that NewGame+ files get the Stats and skills you got on the last run you did, meaning that if your last game was a normal file with 9 will, 9 guts and 7 strength, you are going to get those 3 on the NewGame+ file; which can make Rykah's fight a bit easier compared to other circunstances

Also, any item you had on your inventory unused after beating the game will also be transfered to your NewGame+ file; meaning that if you buy 4 energy drinks on Ashe's store and then manage to finish Ataraxios battle without taking too much damage/lust or just using 1 energy drink, when you fight Rykah you will have 3-4 energy drinks with you, which will restore your life completely and will remove any lust on you (which isn't a problem on Rykah's fight but it's there), giving you more chances of winning or clutching

Downside is that, like i said earlier, this path will take place on a NewGame+ file, which means that if you don't have a lot of upgraded stats or skills (Guts lvl6 for example), then it won't give you any advantage over her
And also, she will get more life and damage so running with mid-upgrades might not be the best thing you can do
Outcome of the fight
Right after beating Dio's goat, you will get a small dialogue of her being defeating, and after that, you will receive her respective sex scene

But not only that, a small portion of the room, being at the top-middle will also be opened, a portion where you can get in and find 3 chests

These 3 chests will contain special items for the player, the middle one containing around $400 (the highest amount of cash you can get inside of any chest)

And most importantly, both the right and the left chest will contain a Red Stone, making it for a total of 3 Red Stones with the one that you can get during the Puzzle of the Basement (and the only 3 Red Stones you can get in the entire game)
SECRET SCENES
The game does count with 2 secret scenes that can be obtained after following some steps
And 2 more that are obtained from a secret boss, but we will talk about that one later on

The first two scenes that i talked about are relatively easy to get, but Poco's one may take a bit longer, but no need to rush it
Plus they both are connected in some way because if you do Alex's scene first, a line on Poco's scene will change, same viceversa or by just doing one
Alex's scene
This scene can be achieved on the first floor, right after escaping the pink mist on the tutorial

What you need to do is to simply go down and break the first 2 tables and Cardboxes you find over there, blocking a door with a keypad

Right after it will ask you if you want to try to open it with a code, the codes known on the page are "5010" and "9053"

And a callback refering to Carpetwurm's old discord

there are more codes out there so, if you want to try by yourself, good luck

Insert any of those codes and the door will be opened, simply go in and then meet Alex to later on help him to "release and empty" himself
Poco's scene
Poco's can be found on the 3rd floor, right after breaking the generator (this one is mandatory in order to get in)

When you need to go back in order to access Verdrake's fight, turn around the corner on the room shown here (which was full of electric cables that would damage you, now turn off)

Go inside and then go to the bottom-right corner, there it will be a trash can on the floor where you can interact with and will activate the secret, asking you if you want to go deeper after seeing a secret entrance

After that, all you need to do is to follow the hallway and the scene will be played right after
ALTERNATIVE ENDING
And last, but not least important, is one of the things many players may love from this list, and this one is the easter egg recently added on the update V1.1
Which is an alternative ending to the game

This ending can be also affected by how many P-ADs cells you have destroyed, which would make for the total of 4 endings that i talked about earlier
So, completing this side quest and destroying every P-AD cell will grant you the best possible ending for the history

While you are on the vents of level 3 (Hotel), there will be a small secret entrance that doesn't appear on the map, so try to stay alert over this room

Once you get inside, you will find yourself with a secret "new" enemy, the enraved anu
Don't get fooled by that, he can launch consecutive attacks against you and deplete your life in a matter of seconds (only 3 hits are enough to knock you off in NG+ with guts at lvl10), so you will need to rush to the exit of this room

Now the last thing you will need to do is to search one of the 2 blue boxes on the left side of the 2nd room, and get a "Gas Mask"

After getting it, go back to Ashe's shop and go in, you will get access to his store and have the chance of talking with him after you give him the mask

By this part, you can simply finish the game and wait for the alternative ending to play, it's worth it, trust me
End of the Guide
I do hope that this guide can help anyone out there, ever since i saw many request on Itchio about a Walkthrough
Plus now being more "accessible" on steam, it will allow more users to come here

But if you notice something out of place, or if you want to suggest something, leave a comment down below and i will try to check it out or to edit my guide as soon as i can and now for real instead of leaving a small mistake for 3 months

I have to admit that this was a very, very helpful guide, the only thing I have to say is that I was hoping to see if there were any secrets I might have missed, turns out I actually managed to find them all (the secret vent area was completely by accident to be honest) on my first play through but I never would've guessed the names so that awesome lol

Oh my gosh I remember i skipped the P-AD on the very right in the secret labratory because i couldnt' get past the fans so I went to go get all of the other P-ADs! Oh my god im sorry lol im gonna see if i can figure out how to get past them lol.

My advise to you?
Don't check every key room, check every P-AD room

On my first NG+ walkthrought it happened the same for me, i lost the track of a P-AD in the third floor and i was like "maybe NG+ only lets you destroy 7 out of 8 P-ADs" only then to re-run the hotel floor and see that i missed it
Un zobo rojo  [Autor] 10. Jan. 2023 um 17:11
Oh, actually has i said in the guide
The first floor has at least 3 doors that can be opened with a silver key
but you only get 2 silver keys

fortunately the 3rd door you don't open doesn't load in the game; so that means that if you opened the door on the upper side, the right-sided door won't load and viceversa

I'm having trouble getting into the rightmost room on lv 1 (At least thats where i think the last container i need to destroy is considering the door is locked and i've been to every single other container room in the entire game) but i've rechecked every single key room in the game and i cant seem to find out where the key to open the door is. HELP PLEASE
