Diamond Guide

A short guide what equipement you need to catch Diamonds.

Introduction

If you want, that your overview looks like the one below, there is an easy an simple way to get it: Do the missions! You can catch a diamond version of every species at every mission ground - tested and proved by myself! If you dont know where the mission locations are, you can use my other guide.



I`ll list the fishes like they are sorted ingame and write down the equipement which I used to catch it and the specific technique. Catching a 'Diamond Lake Trout' is the only way to get the achivement "Gonna Need a Bigger Boat", where you have to catch a fish of 44lbs ore more. Other lures with the same size of the hook works as well - tested and proved. Cant say if one is better than an other.

also, i tried the lake trout setup and i couldnt get a single bite, i looked at the ingame info of lures for the fish and swimbait is no longer listed :/ :)

So where the mission where it says catch bronze salmon, i should use bait as stated and eventually get diamond?

Two important things to consider about this guide

1. All mission spots including Diamond only work once, these missions are misleading because the game force spawns fish in places they aren't normally, you will never catch a diamond LGM bass in sunny lake for example (this will be fixed in a future update)

2. The emphasis of gear - the only important thing to consider is the bait/lure, besides that it's better to fish as sporty as possible, some of the rod/reel choices in this guide are way too strong if you care about also getting a high Truscore

just a note, the Sauger info is not right anymore it seems. max line strength is 13KG
