Report a translation problem
The idea is to bring the subverted footage into focus. A single press of the left arrow key usually helps find an overlay view of most of the secret footage, so it's playing over the top of the reversed scene. Use Shift+Left/Right arrows to change the speed of playback until the subverted image comes into focus - then watch the "secret". Listen for cues to switch the playback in the opposite direction (and Shift+Arrow to fine tune the speed as before) for "nested" secrets.
Thankfully I found all floaty ones before I took to the guide, so I didnt had a hustle there.
A minor note: There are two scenes listed as 2OE 37, and they are listed that way in the game UI. But the slates show them as 37D (the orchids close-up) and 37E (the dress/mirror closeup)
