There would be another places for fishing Lake Trout but I've found one best spot and it works pretty well. Here is the location spotted on the map:

Lake Trout can be found in deep ponds and deep lakes. I used swimbait as lure but you can also use spinner or spoons. Swimbait works perfect tho.

They are usually big fishes so please be aware that your rod setup can handle +10kg (22lbs) fishes. Otherwise you just keep losing it by snapping the line.

I posted the second video for the new location I discovered after the 1.0.2 hotfix update. Of course, this was in September 2022. So I don't know if there is a better location today. I haven't played the game for a long time.
