My ADHD is relentless so have another quick guide for the endings. Please let my hyperfixation on this game burns out soon, please I have work to do.

Equation for Ending

Mentioned by kittykat0510 in the comment: Main job x3 + secondary job x1.5 + skill x0.7. You also need at least 50 of the required skill and have done the main job at least 5 times.

I just got the "Merchant" ending and I did *not* agree that Capitalism is good when talking to Marz, so that doesn't appear to be a requirement.

Updated for Novelist, I have no idea if things have changed since I last played the game since I played it upon release. Feel free to correct me for anything.

For the Novelist entry, it should be the "Help in the Kitchen" instead of "Assist the Governor". I'm guessing Assist job can also get it for you but for me I kept getting lawyer with both stats maxed When I repeated the Kitchen job I was able to get Novelist easily.

The Novelist entry on this list is wrong, I believe. The job and activities should be reversed, with the job for Novelist being Study Humanities, and the activity being Assist the Governor. I'm also fairly sure that the same thing is true for Entertainer, with Photophonor being the job and Barista being the activity.

The "Lawyer" and "Novelist" ending have the same required job and activity, with the only difference being the required stat. What happens if both of those stats are maxed out?

Tried for the Rebel ending again today, my strategy was to mainly stick to Babysitting and Cooking (because nonstop Relaxing gets boring fast) and tell Tammy that I didn't want kids. And it worked! And I still managed to do a lot of things: stopping the famine (couldn't select Congruence as a friend bc I needed Rebellion), building Rex's bar (which takes longer if you don't regularly explore for collectibles), even overthrowing Lum! Now I just gotta do this again for the Hobbyist ending...

Maybe that was changed, but Hobbyist and Rebel (low and high Rebellion stat, respectively) are the same in that they are the fallback option if you don't qualify for *anything* else. Meaning that doing activities no more than 4 times each isn't a guarantee to get these two. The only surefire way is to keep all your stats below 50, so be prepared to have your Sol relax a lot in that life.
somapodra Apr 28, 2024 @ 12:52am
Update: unfortunately, just building the bar was enough to trigger the Entertainer ending. Back to the drawing board...

So if I want the Rebel ending, I can practice photophonor a lot as long as I stay away from the bar, or forage a lot as long as I stay away from the ridge and don't get TOO organized. Hopefully I can save Mom w/o locking myself into the Botanist ending. I'll have to keep my Rebellion high enough to qualify for Rebel ending, but low enough to stop the pixie bean incident...

@CMDR Sharlone: If it’s the one from early in the game, I don’t it counts so since it’s required to do for the plot progression iirc
