How to Leave Your Landlord in the Dust and Outscale the Game Like a Boss

A simple no-frills strategy for breaking the game into tiny little pieces. No, I won't hold your hand and explain every facet of the game. It's much too random for that!

Instead, we're going to focus on a handful of symbols and make them scale until we're the jackpot kingpin of the local neighborhood.

The Plan

1. Collect the following:
• Arrows
• Amethysts
• Dames

2. Watch your income scale like crazy with every spin.

3. You're welcome.

How it Works

This strategy focuses on collecting several symbols that will scale indefinitely along with the symbols that feed them. As your collection begins to fill out, you should apply judicious use of removal on any symbols that are no longer contributing to the cause. You know, items like diamonds, emeralds, and that highlander sword.

There are, of course, many other interesting synergies in the game, but this is the strategy that currently gives me the most consistent wins.

At least, until the next round of developer patches...

What About Items?

That's completely up to you, but I tend to go for anything that bolsters my deck's ability to earn or gives me removal tokens for streamlining later.
Some of my favorites include:

• Cleaning Rag
• Coin on a String
• Dwarven Anvil
• Grave Robber
• Happy Hour
• Kyle the Kernite
• Lockpick
• Looting Glove
• Mining Pick
• Removal Capsule
• Rusty Gear
• Sunglasses
• Tax Evasion
• Time Capsule
• Triple Coins

Deck Composition

Keep your collection under forty symbols. You'll want no more than four each of the following:
• Arrows
• Dames
• Geologists

The rest can be whatever assortment of amethysts, divers, doves, eldritch creatures, and fodder that you manage to collect. If you go over forty symbols it's past time to start removing.

Other symbols to watch out for on the way to the win

• Diver -- This one's tricky as aquatic symbols can be hard to find consistently. It's fun when it's working, though.
• Dove
• Eldritch Creature/Cultist/Midas Hex
• Geologist
• Mine
• Miner
• Ore
• Sapphire
• Shiny Pebble

Now You're the Landlord

It may take a few tries to get off the ground due to the random nature of the game. Just look for symbols that give you the best value without bloating your deck along the way. This includes not taking symbols that continually add more symbols to your deck unless you have a built-in removal method (such as bartender and dwarf or Hex of Midas with Coin on a String). Also look for items that increase the rarity of your finds or the value of what you already have.

Do this consistently and who knows -- maybe the landlord will pay you the rent!
