A list of all G-Man's appearances in Half-Life 2.

Half-Life 2 G-Man Sightings

This guide will detail every sighting of the G-Man in Half-Life 2. The screenshots were taken from Half-Life 2 and gmod.

This guide contains spoilers.

Introduction Cutscene

I don’t think I need to explain the opening cutscene… but personal space is not something he is concerned about.

"A Red Letter Day"

If you look at the monitor screen while (or maybe after) Barney and Alyx are talking, G-Man can be seen waiting at a gate.

Route Kanal

When you drop down into the train car, the Vort will be watching TV. Perhaps communicating with G-Man. He can be found in a separate room by no-clipping through the map.

Water Hazard

1st Sighting

Before you head over to the boathouse, make sure to take notice of him watching Freeman. He’ll walk inside if you get too close.

G-Man's an old grump.

2nd Sighting
You’ll pass a Breencast board while on the airboat, it’s very hard to see but sometimes G-Man will flicker onto the screen.

3rd Sighting

Once the boat gets an upgrade and after being shot at by an armoured vehicle, G-Man can be seen on a walkway above Gordon.

4th Sighting

After destroying the helicopter and exploring the building after the gate, you can see him in the distance near where you must go to progress (before crossing the bridge).

Black Mesa East

This is a odd one; in the machine the Vortigaunt plugs a device into, there's a image of G-Man's face.
Very hard to see so I altered the pictures to show it more clearly.

"We Don't Go To Ravenholm..."

Right near the end of the chapter, after exiting Ravenholm. Before you go into the building with Combine outside, go to the end of the tracks and crouch down. You’ll see G-Man walking away. (There was another G-Man sighting in a beta version of this chapter, but was removed.)

Highway 17

At the second house you come across, look through the Combine device pointing out the window. G-Man is talking to Odessa Cubbage in the distance.

Nova Prospekt

At the first security screen, look through the images until you see a hallway door. G-Man will appear.

Anticitizen One

Wait for Dog to finish his animation and leave with the dropship; you’ll begin to hear strange music. Go into the building and look to the room on your right. He will appear briefly on a television. He has a crow on his shoulder (that glitches out nowadays) and is standing in a boat.

Note: There is another sighting in this chapter, on the Breencast that gets taken down by the resistance. I couldn’t get a shot of it, but it's the same image as the one in Water Hazard.

Ending

Surely you knew he’d appear at the end of the game?

the gman with a crow on the shoulder sighting is in a beta or an alpha version of a chapter (idk what it is) where he is flying with a crow and dissapears in smoke

Does he show up in the title screen ever? When I got on to resume "follow freeman" there was a dark figure in one of the central windows of the background building. I haven't gotten it to show up again or found anything on the Internet
