Class and Race Tier List and Build Guide
De Xero
Here is a race & class guide to help your character be the best they can be.
Creating this guide I considered what best use case scenario for each racial ability would be, it's permanent bonuses, and the usefulness of that ultimate ability on deciding the fight.
In creating the classes for each build, I considered the mitigation of stats, and the overall effectiveness of an ability in combination with the stats I believed would provide the most benefit. I understand that there are multiple ways to build a character and this is just my opinion on what I consider to be an optimization of each class. I am always open to feedback and listening to the idea of others. With that in mind, please enjoy my guide and I hope it can help you to build a character that you will have fun and enjoy playing.

Here is my recommended build for all staring character classes:
Adventure:
1 stargazer
3 Mercantile
3 Luck of the Gods

Melee
Melee:
Early Game: S+
Late Game: F

Early game dominates against less mobile opponents. Suffers from needing too many stats to be viable late game. You can't have excellent mobility to chase down your opponents should they kite you around the arena and have an exceptional health pool or defense vs glass cannons. Casters also present a problem with energy shield late game vs some builds.

Race:
S+: Yeren
S: Haxxapod, Cycladian
A: Glamourzon, Blob

I believe Yeren edges out other races with the nice bonus to health and ability to cripple or end a fight immediately when using his race ability. Haxxapod removes the need for sonic defense and may counter debilitating status effects IF you can convince your opponent to engage you in melee. Glamourzon offers a bit of damage increase as well as a nice health increase. Cycladian is great for dealing with those pesky ranged classes. I recommend for damaged based builds. Blob can help us to heal in times of emergency or counter those nasty crippling blows and lost limbs. Not much to say about the other races.

Class:
S+: Cleric, Inquisitor, Chaplain
S: Fighter, Man at Arms, Cavalier
B: Barbarian

Builds:
1. Priests - Attrition based character where our goal is to heal more damage than our opponent is capable of dealing.
Stat Allocation: Strength: Occasionally place a point to increase Hammer Damage. Stamina: As needed to maintain a healthy stamina pool. Vitality: Remaining
Talent Allocation: Warfare: Axe Mastery: 8 , Dual Wielding: 1.
Survival (5 Points): Lightning Protection, Poison Protection, Frost Protection, Sonic Protection, Arrow Catcher, Beast of Burden, Weather the Storm, Juggernaut, Iron Will, Remaining Protections, Defensive Techniques
Spiritual Hammer is our main source of damage. It has a high hit%, scales very strongly with Strength, gains critical hit from weapons, and gains enchant debuffs from both weapons and only has a 3 turn cooldown. Did I mention it's both ranged and melee?

2. Damage Dealer - Straight forward. Hack them to death.
Recommended Race/Class: Cycladian Cavalier.
Stat Allocation: Strength: ALL . Stamina: 5 to start and additional as needed to maintain a healthy stamina pool.
Talent Allocation:
Choose Offensive:
Offensive: Sword Mastery, TwoHanded (dual wield if not Cavalier), Combat Ready, Critical Mastery, Concussive Blows, Weapons Master.

3. Barbarian - Instantly win fights or cripple your opponents to death. *On paper this seems like a viable strategy, however, after testing this class, the chance of a crippling blow is still so abysmal you would be better off just going straight damage*
Stat Allocation: Attack: Points as needed to maintain 90% Power Attack. Stamina: As needed to maintain a healthy stamina pool. Defense: Remaining
Talent Allocation: Warfare: Axe Mastery: 10, Dual Wield: 1, Critical Mastery: 5, Concussive Blow: 5
Survival: Frost Protection: 5, Lightning Protection: 5, Sonic Protection: 5, Poison Protection: 1, Arrow Catcher: 5, Remaining Protections: 5, Weather the Storm: 5, Iron Will: 5
*Attack stat over Strength allows us some options against ranged opponents and our victory condition is instant kill so damage takes a backseat to flexibility.

Equipment:
Priority: +Defense, +Strength, +Attack
Enchant Priority: Lightning, Cold (off-hand if dual wielding)

will you update your list? and also do you know if there is a big difference in multiplayer gameplay? (tier wise)

@lunarwhaler. no. this was a previous build of the game. I haven't gotten around to updating this. I should probably pull it down for now

Is this still applicable to the current build of the game? Asking as someone debating picking it up.

Yeah I 100% agree bro. I try building a mage in normal difficulty. Before u get the level 5 passive magic accuracy skill (probably around level 22), your magic will miss like a lot. Even I try to pump all my stat to the charisma it only around 40-60% accuracy which kinda suck.

@the bread man. Gun build should play like ranged build. Not sure about dual wielding melee/gun. Guess I'll have to look into it at some point

@tyrannical cancer yeah. the stamina scaling for intelligence increase makes it very difficult to play a mage. If it weren't for unlimited stamina spell, and stamina recovery abilities (rogue/bard) I wouldn't even attempt to play a mage class. The mage starts out extremely weak and this makes it VERY difficult to get to a point where they are actually playable. My opinion is that spell casting should have an easier start and more gradual increase.

what do you have to do for a gun build, I've seen that they exist, but I'm yet to actually find one and I'm wondering if you can effectively duel wield a sword and a gun for "options", or if you need to spec into the weapon specifically
