The Start
When you first start the game it can be quite overwhelming and some things aren't explained too well in detail. The game pretty much gives you a short little tutorial but, outside of that you will pretty much be left to fend on your own. Well not anymore! Behold, here is a Fable written many ages ago. Listen carefully and consider its wisdom.
Controls
A small bit about controls!

WASD to move
Space to jump
Left mouse button to attack
F to interact
E for Inventory
R to Reload
Middle Mouse/Scroll Wheel/Mouse 3 scroll up to zoom in scroll down to zoom out
TAB to switch weapons(If you have a bucket in inventory it counts when switching between weapons)

Flying: Q or double tapping spacebar enters flying state. Even while still in the air your stamina will decrease. Space While flying ascends and L-Shift while flying Descends. Q while flying will cause you to fall back to the ground.

Crafting
Crafting is one of the fundamental ways to improve your Dragon and unlock other things in the game. There is: Workshop, Furnace, Chest, Lamp, Laboratory, Alter, Kitchen, Mill, Farm, Well, Apothecary, and Mine.
You are able to craft from the beginning the Workshop, Furnace, Chest, Lamp, Laboratory, and Alter. The other buildings will have to be unlocked

The other Items you can craft as long as you have the required materials to make them.
Laboratory, Gems, and Locations
The Laboratory is the MOST IMPORTANT building in the entire game along with the alter. Without these two things you will not progress anywhere in this game. Speaking of Alter, don't forget to level up your Alter! Location matters as well because you cannot rotate buildings and the building will always appear to the upper-left part of the dragon's head(If facing away toward the camera/south then the upper-left part of it's tail.) Location is really important(Will be explained later in the guide). New Gems can only be obtained through the Dragon Forge. There are items called Moon Pendants that get through out the game, I do not recommend using them until mid-game because it only gives you mana up to as if you were not playing for 15 minutes and early game you won't gain that much from it and late game(unless you are impatient) you should have enough grasp on the game that you shouldn't really need it.

Now there is a way to get goblins to auto farm for you. Once you get enough goblins you can start auto farming mana while you do other stuff in the game. Here is where things get tricky...when you assign a gem to be made you will see a percentage on the right side of your screen. This indicates how effective the goblins will be when transporting one gem to another Lab or to the Alter. For instance let's say you have a Lab set to Earth gems and a Lab set to Flora gems and a Lab set to water gems. Now the Earth gems are at 114% production, but the Flora Gems are only at 80% production. That means that after a while it will take the goblins 20% longer to produce Flora gems and carry them over to the alter or to another building that needs Flora gems. In order to increase that you will have to produce more earth gems, but every time you increase how fast the gems are made or produced the percentage will drop. So earth goes to 65% now the Flora gem is at 130% and the water gem doesn't matter because it is what I call a "Basic gem". Basic gems: Gems that don't need other gems in order to be created. Now you will have to increase how much speed and the amount of gems are generated from the water gem building so the earth gem goes back over 100% so you have a steady flow of mana going into the alter. This is where the "Efficiency" part of the game comes into play and I will say is the most complicated part of the game(which I probably didn't do a good job explaining too well because it's complicated). I say someone who has played games like Factorio or Satisfactory could explain it better than I could. It is no where near the level of complicated those games can get but, to the average player it can get overwhelming.
Early game, EXP, and Mana
This is the part that gets people when they start the game...the early part of the game. First things first I would get used to the controls for flying as that will be CRUCIAL for your survival in this game and for other reasons. This picture is my setup for the beginning of the game and should get you far until you need the apothecary and then you will have to change location. Also the first boss I do not recommend fighting until you are at least lvl 7 and made the strawberry amulet.

EXP: The best way to gain exp early game is by doing quests from the goblins and unlocking areas. Farming materials do help but, it isn't as efficient as doing quests and unlocking areas.

Mana: This is what seems to throw everyone off because of the numbers especially when the numbers start looking like 1.45E8. Also how the system works regarding the percentage when looking at the item you are crafting. So as far as the number thing goes, When it says something like 1.96E3 That is the number of digits after you go past 9,999,999 Million. So in this example 1.96E3 would be 196,000,000,000. For every "E" once you hit 10 million that is an extra 0 added on to the number(But that's the NERRRRRRRRRRD! in me explaining exponents when in reality it doesn't matter all that much in the game.) I would just mostly pay attention to the "E" and the number after it because the 2.56 in front pretty much didn't matter in the long run. I will explain the percentage part about crafting Gems in the "Laboratory, Gems, and Locations" section(to the best of my ability).
Finding Iron
How to find Iron early in the game... The spot where my dragon is standing in the third picture, once you unlock that area (which isn't that far into the game) that is the first area where you will find iron. Materials in the game respawn so if you wait a while iron will respawn back in the area. This is also where you will find the material Bismuth which is used to make bombs, these explosive things are very helpful early on against a particular enemy that you have to fight. Iron is a bright white rock sitting on the ground and Bismuth is a rainbow-ish colored rock sitting on the ground. You might have to clear the trees around the area to find them as trees in the game like to block your sight. Also the goblin standing next to me in the same picture will give you 50 iron for completing his quest. For the most part you need iron for many things so in the early game I would stock up on that while maybe waiting for more Mana or waiting for something else.
Maximizing Space
As you play through the game you will most likely run in to one of these problems. 1. Your area is too small 2. The Goblins can't reach the destination because the building is too far. 3. Your town is ugly and you want to fix it(no offense to the creator but, not being able to rotate buildings will have that effect more often than not). Once you get the Apothecary you will be arranging your buildings around I can pretty much guarantee you that. I have pictures of areas where I think are good places to build. The first two picture is for general building just to get you through the game. The second two are more for areas for people who like to do efficient building and maximize their area to it's fullest potential. The last two one are if you want to incorporate your build into one of the goblin towns that are in the game.

Another area is the swamp but, that area has a high chance of crashing the game on you so I wouldn't recommend it. If you have other spots you know of please feel free to mention them!
Items that CANNOT be crafted.
There are some items in the game that cannot be crafted and must be obtained by other means. One of the obvious ones is the monster drops that you get from killing monsters. More specifically though I am talking about items that you can't get and wouldn't know that unless someone told you. These items are: Tomato, Grapes, Wheat, and Monster eggs. These items can all be made once you make the farm but, you can't make the farm until quite a bit later in the game and at that point you probably can farm the materials to trade them in for said item faster than waiting for a farm to finish making said items for you.

There is also the 4 "Rare" item drops. These can ONLY be obtained from killing monsters in a specific biome and cannot be obtained in any other way. These Items however aren't necessary to beating the game so they only really have an impact if you want all the achievements in the game.
Additional Information and Tricks
First thing is, in this game flying is your best friend. But while flying always watch out for the stamina bar because once it goes down to zero you will fall and until you get one bar back your movement speed will decrease also if you happen to land in the water you will take 10% of your HP over a period of time until you get out of the water(...or drown your stamina will not regenerate while in water).

Another thing is to plan your actions, you want to always be doing something so you won't have to be standing around waiting for mana or a building to finish what you are trying to craft. Always be moving is the goal of this game and not doing so will cause a stalemate in your progress.

If you have multiple buckets in your inventory, if you go near water or lava and press tab until you get to the bucket you can then press and hold the attack button and the buckets will fill up automatically(for as long as you hold the button down or you run out of buckets).

If there is an area that is locked you can still obtain materials from it as long as it is within reaching distance of your attacks. When the item spawns it's materials it will be pushed out of the locked area into the unlocked area and you can pick the material up. This is a good way to get a material earlier than you other wise would have waiting to get enough mana.

There is a sword at the starting area in the swamp that is by Leo that will spawn enemies that will pretty much one-shot you when they spawn in. Their attack comes out fast and at the beginning it is really hard to escape their attack so that will just result in instant death. Avoid that sword until much later in the game.

Do not worry about farming coal. There is a goblin at the beginning of the game that will give you 10 coal for every 1 strawberry you give him. So if you have say 500 strawberries you will get 5000 coal and be set for a while until you need more of course.

As of right now that is all for this guide! Thank you for reading it and I hope it helped you with your overall experience with the game as a whole!

Sincerely,
AquaineBay
