"How to fix Crashes on Higher Video Settings"

just a quick guide of how to fix the crashes while playing or loading into a map upon selecting higher effect / shader setting because the issue still hasnt been fixed yet on certain PCs.

Just the Parameter itself

Is very simple , just copy the parameter below and put it on your l4d2 steam game launch options.

-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x0191

this parameter will allow you to play again on higher settings on most PCs , however there is a negative aspect of this parameter ...which is that it MAY reduce a bit the overall framerate while using your flashlight on certain spots (depending on your PC) but nothing huge to be worried about really.

why making this guide while there is a lot of videos on youtube?
well mainly was because i was a bit concearned that i had to always save a notepad on my pc with this parameter everytime i wanted to play on higher setting but now is saved online as a guide for steam so i dont have to worried about saving a notepad anymore GGs.

Anyway once you are done , you can enjoy playing l4d2 on higher settings again , Have fun.

you have a laptop? if so what kind?

the guide is mainly focus to low end pc computers and latop gamers.
for some reason those computers can not longer handle higher video setting without crashing upon loading or when a infected spawns if not using this:

im confused, im on max settings but iv never crashed due to it?? was this like, some big issue or??
