Luty Submachine Gun

The Luty Submachine Gun was constructed and designed by Philip A. Luty, who was an English activist opposing gun control. Luty created the Luty Submachine Gun to prove that even if firearms are banned anyone who desired to have one can make one out of simple hardware store materials and without any dedicated gunsmithing tools nor experience. Luty published his works and guides in the form of books, notably "Expedient Homemade Firearms" being the most well known and being today available online. His works inspired many future gunsmiths and hobbyists to make their own designs and to improve on Luty's models most commonly in the form of 3d printing.

The Luty Submachine Gun is of lesser quality and reliability than the firearms of commercial gun companies but it is quite a dependable firearm. The SMG reinforced Luty's anti-gun control arguements and also symbolises the freedom of the sovereign citizen.

As for the Luty Submachine Gun: It came in (and can come in) many calibers but at first started with the 9×19mm cartridge. It's magazine holds 18 rounds and its cycling operation is blowback. The SMG's barrel is smoothbore to keep the production simpler but one may choose to rifle his/her barrel.
