Note:
  • All achievements can be unlocked on easy difficulty.
Important Gameplay Mechanics
The main objective of the game is to complete the challenges presented on each stage within the time limit, as well as completing an extra challenge in each stage to earn a trophy. There are 24 stages in total.

General Tips:
  • Open the settings menu and switch to Easy difficulty
  • As soon as you start a level, pause the game to do at least some minimal planning (Park positions, etc.).
  • Parks only affect happiness in apartment blocks placed immediately around them.
  • Buildings such as the Office, Education, Shopping, Enterntainment and Healthcare centers affect the happiness level in all apartment blocks in the level, regardless of their relative position to those buildings, meaning, in most cases, you'll only need one of each.
  • Keep in mind that once you begin the construction, demolition or upgrading of a building, you cannot cancel the process. This also applies to clearing forests and rubble.

Other notes:
  • Each forest plot increases your total Ecology by 1.
  • Rubble plots decrease your total ecology by 1, and decrease happines of surrounding apartment blocks.
  • Factories, Workshops, Power Plants and Warehouses decrease happiness in surrounding apartment blocks, use the area around factories to construct essential buildings like Office Centers, Education Centers, etc.

Tips for specific challenges:

Happiness:
  • Maximize the amount of Apartment Blocks affected by Parks. Note that Parks themselves also increase total happiness by 1.
  • By purchasing the standard upgrade license, you're able to upgrade "Attractions" in your Parks, this will increase the happiness in each Park by 1.
  • Click on the apartment blocks to see which essential buildings they require (Office, Education, Healthcare, etc.), then construct those buildings.
  • Factories decrease happiness in adjacent aprtment blocks.

Ecology:
  • Parks and standing Forests increase Ecology by 1.
  • You're able to upgrade "Natural Environment" in your Parks to increase Ecology by 1.
  • You can upgrade "Eco Operation'' in the Power Plant to increase Ecology by 1
  • Present rubble decreases Ecology by 1, for every rubble plot there is.

Commerce:
  • Commerce can be increased by building Office Centers and Shopping Centers, and by upgrading "Bank" and "Restaurant" in them respectively.

Healthcare:
  • Healthcare can be increased by building Healthcare centers and upgrading "Policlinic" in them. Constructing Parks also increases healthcare, and "Playgrounds" can be upgraded to increase healthcare from Parks by 1.

Culture:
  • Culture can be increased by building Education centers and upgrading "Digital Library" and by constructing Entertainment centers and upgrading "3D Cinema".

Residents:
  • Each type of apartment building increases the total resident count by a specific number, which is proportional to the size of the building. Aditionally, you can increase each building's total residents by upgrading "Extra Rooms".

X amount of workers:
  • Pretty straightforward. Every level will have a minimum amount of workers required to construct specific buildings, just make sure to continue training workers after money is no longer an issue.

Build a Power Plant, Warehouse or Workshop:
  • Those challenges appear in only 3 levels, one building for each level. Note that those buildings count as factories, meaning they reduce happiness in surrounding apartment blocks. Since they don't really give any benefit, leave this challenge to be completed last.

X modern apartment blocks:
  • Those challenges might require a specific number of modern small, medium, large, very large or huge apartment blocks as well. Having lots and lots of workers to clear plots quickly and then construct the required buildings is a necessity.

Monthly Income:
  • Build the largest available apartment blocks, then research "Extra Rooms" and "Luxury Furniture" to increase your income from that specific building. Remember that happiness levels increase income as well.

X total power:
  • The only way to increase your total power is by surpassing the limit and purchasing more power after. This can be achieved by building many of the largest apartment blocks. Alternatively, you can build a Power Plant and continuously upgrade "Additional Power Generator" to increase total power by 200.

Power consumption below X:
  • Those challenges require you to complete the level without exceeding a power consumption limit. To achieve this, you must upgrade "Eco Appliances" on apartment blocks and "Solar Panels" on every building that isn't a factory or a special building, in order to dramatically reduce the power consumption.

Total Balance:
  • Those are hardest challenges to complete, as you must have a specific amount of money with you at the same time. This is difficult to achieve because money is used for virtually everything. Your best bet is to construct as many of the largest apartment blocks as you can and research "Extra Rooms" and "Luxury Furniture" in all of them, to increase your income as much as possible, then wait until you have the required balance.

Level 24 gave me the most trouble, so here's the only way I found to make it work:


Note: it is possible to complete the levels within the time limit while simultaneously completing the extra challenge for the trophy, specially difficult in the final few stages.

Within any level, reach 25 total happiness. This is actually a mandatory challenge in some of the levels, and will be unlocked naturally by completing it.

Within any level, have a total population of 5,000 or more. Level 24 has a mandatory challenge for reaching 5,700 population, the achievement will be unlocked during this level. Remember to build the largest available apartment blocks and to upgrade "Extra Rooms" in order to increase your total population.

  • 1- Click the sandbox menu to open the level editor.
  • 2- Click on "Add Goal", then click on "A Park".
  • 3- Click on "Start", then build a Park to complete the level.
  • 4- Repeat the previous steps 12 times in total.
Rich and Storekeeper

Rich
Earn $100,000,000

Cumulatively earn $100,000,000. Depending on how many times you attempt each level, you might have to do some grinding/farming for this achievement. Go to level 24 and construct the same level layout as shown in the image on the "Main Campaign, Gold Stars and Trophies" section, except for one thing: switch the education center with any of the apartment blocks located on the central edge plots, then leave the game running for a bit so the money can pile up.

For comparison purposes, this achievement unlocked for me during one of my attempts on level 24.

Cumulatively purchase 150K units of material. While playing the later stages of the game, you'll likely reach a point in which you have more money than you need, so use the money to continuously buy material. Farming for this achievement can be paired up nicely with farming for the "Rich" achievement.

For comparison purposes, this achievement unlocked for me during one of my attempts on level 24.

(Note that level 24 must be done without building a power plant due to the happiness requirements, and the warehouse/workshop will need to be replaced at the end too, but otherwise the same directions still apply)

For the last 6 levels, you should start with the Warehouse, buy Advanced improvements and upgrade it, then place a Power Station (don't buy more than 1 power-increase for cash!) before beginning with replacing the smallest old-block apartments first. Add a Workshop before buying any new workers, upgrade it, and then carry on as usual. Even though this might take 2-3 minutes to start, it provides an excellent foundation to build on and will save huge amounts of time and money over the rest of the level. Once you have several Very Large or Huge new blocks up and your income is starting to spiral upward, you should constantly be ordering materials and workers until you finish. Make sure as many workers as possible are in use at all times, demolishing more old blocks while the new ones are still being built or upgraded, and Gold Star victories should be easy!

For anyone else feeling frustrated by the Gold Star times, my best advice is to first take a moment to look at the city and goals to plan a bit of a layout (especially anywhere you might fit a donut-block with a park in the middle), then begin by replacing old apartments with the largest ones you can afford. Don't even worry about building the support buildings for them (Office, etc) until you have at least 5 or 6 built, even when unhappy they still bring many times more income than the old blocks. Once you can build the Warehouse, focus on building that (plus advanced upgrade if starting funds allow) asap as it will save you SO MUCH money over the rest of the level.

Especially that Level 24 thing there for the campaign.~
And yeah, I have to agree with the bonus challenges bit...it IS possible, but you have to really hustle sometimes.~
