Introduction
This guide is based on a guide for Windows users How To Install Mods by isded

Before continuing make sure you have your save files backed up!
Mod Injector
Until this game supports mods natively we have to use code injection.

  1. Switch to desktop mode
  2. Download BepInEx 6[builds.bepinex.dev] (scroll down to the Artifacts section). Use the BepInEx-Unity.Mono-win-x64... version. Make sure to use the win-x64 version and NOT the linux one!
  3. Extract the contents of the zip-file into the game folder. To open the game folder right click on the game in your library and select Properties.... Then click on Local Files and select Browse.... The file manager should open in the game directory. Extract the contents of the zip-file into this folder.
  4. Back in Steam right click the game, select Properties... and change the launch options to
    WINEDLLOVERRIDES='winhttp.dll=n,b' %command%
  5. Start the game once to generate the needed files.
  6. Now there should be a folder called plugins in your Dinkum/BepInEx folder you extracted earlier. Copy the dll files of the mods you want to use into this folder.
  7. Now you can return to gaming mode and start the game.

Can't get it to work with your instructions. Downloaded UnityMono_x64 of bepinex and installed it into the root folder of the game, set the properties as in the guide, but when I run it, it doesn't create the plugins folder. Any advice?
