SCENARIO : Yesterday's Enterprise (2344)

SITUATION : UFP v Romulans (1 v 4)

NARRATIVE :

On patrol near the Klingon-Romulan border, the U.S.S. Enterprise-C received a priority one distress call from a Klingon colony on Narendra III. The colonists described a ruthless, genocidal attack by a group of Romulan vessels. Deciding that humanitarian efforts trumped political concerns, the Enterprise-C crossed into Klingon space to offer aid to survivors.

Upon arrival, the ship was ambushed by four warbirds. With no chance for survival, the crew fought gallantly to the end. However, during these events, a combination of disruptor fire, photon detonations and early-generation Romulan quantum singularity drives combined to create a time rift that pushed the Enterprise-C into the future. With the help of unknown persons, the ship promptly returned and renewed the battle. Though the Enterprise-C was eventually destroyed, this sacrifice was instrumental in cementing warm relations with the Klingon Empire in the years to come.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS :

Federation has first turn. When the Enterprise-C is first "destroyed," it is caught up in the time rift. It will then return at any location desired by the player (as if teleporting) no closer than 10 distance from any enemy ship, with an additional skill level, all damage repaired and torpedoes re-stocked. UFP wins if at least one warbird is destroyed.
