how to make a gmod video

why hello there, i see you have stumbled into this guide or wonder land. have you ever wanted to make a gmod based video? do you want to make content? well your in the right place! i will guide you to become a gmod video maker.

type of videos

now there are 2 or 3 type of videos and those are, workshop review, gameplay, or animation/machinima. you can choose anytype of video, im not judging

workshop item reviews

its pretty easy, all you need to do is find a addon like a weapon or npc, then get a recording program, i kinda recommended obs studio but its up to you to find a recording program, then of course garrys mod and a map. then you just review the item and thats it. very easy

gameplay

there are many things that you can do for gameplay, like multiplayer, or even nextbot run videos. i recommend meme nextbot's to run from if you are going to do a nextbot video, dont wanna scare the kids, they want laughs, not nightmares (maybe both). so in order to do a nextbot video, need a meme nextbot, a map with navmesh (really important) and of course, a recording program. then you hit the record button and start running away from those nextbots.

animation/machinimas

we are on to the finally type of video you might have been waiting for, the machinimas. a machinma is bascially a gmod video that has ragdolls move on there own (woah) and do random stuff. now inorder to do this you need theis items
1. garry's mod (duh)
2. recording program
3. ragdolls
4. editing program
5. a scrpit
6. a brain
once you have theis items, its time to get to work. you can do moving ragdolls manualy or stop motion ragdolls which of course you need the "stop motion helper" addon which is located in the workshop. now in order to move the ragdolls manualy you need a physics gun, ragdoll and camera. once you have your ragdoll ready, hold c and go to the drawing and disable draw physgun beams, draw physgun grab halo and draw freeze effects, then get out of camera sight and there you go!
