How to remap the keys

A lot of people seem to struggle with the controls and even have difficulty starting the game

So I will show you how to remap the Arrow and Action keys

Changing the controls

Go to the library and select the game
look to your right
there you will be able to see the options
go to “manage” and click on “Browse Local files”

after that the game folder on your PC will open











click on DATA
then click on CONTROLS
using that method you can also look up the original controls

edit the CONTROLS file

This is how you map the movement keys to WASD:

up="W"
down="S"
left="A"
right="D"

if you want to map Jump to "Space"

b ="space"

a is in-game shooting

feel free to map the controls to your liking
but dont forget to save the file after you changed the Controls


for some actions of the game such as climbing the ladders or navigating the options you will still require the arrow keys !

This only seems to work for the PC version, not the SteamDeck. I'm gonna go out on a limb and bet that's where most of the troubles of it not booting up come from. Me being one of those. No amount of attempted remaps register either, gyro or otherwise. My next attempt is Proton adjustment, and then an unwanted trip to desktop mode.... b4 an eventual refund.
