Intro: What is POPGOES Arcade?
POPGOES Arcade is a turn-based RPG full of great music, art, dialogue, gameplay and incredibly well put together secrets. It originally released in 2020 titled "POPGOES Arcade 2020" with just one campaign, being POPGOES: The Dead Forest. With this Steam release, a second campaign has been added known as POPGOES and The Machinist as well as a multitude of quality of life improvements. The Fighting Chance update, released on June 26th 2025, revamps the entire game into an even more enjoyable experience with more new mechanics and QoL improvements than I could count.

It's a prologue to the team's next game "POPGOES Evergreen", a Five Nights at Freddy's game that takes place in an alternate universe where only the first three games are canon.
POPGOES Arcade has 50 achievements, so lets go through them all.
How to Backup Your Save
1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R
2. Type %AppData% and double click on "POPGOES Arcade 2020"
3. Right click on "game.save" and copy it. Paste in somewhere you can find it later.
Pasting this file back into your Popgoes Arcade folder will allow you to return to the point in time at which you saved whenever you want.
Section 1: POPGOES: The Dead Forest
POPGOES: The Dead Forest contains 25/50 obtainable achievements.

It Gets Easier
Lose against a Corrupt Hedgehog before upgrading any stats.

This one is quite self explanatory. Once you enter the West Forest for the first time, run back and forth until you encounter a Corrupt Hedgehog and die to its hands for your first achievement.

Gatecrasher
Unlock the gate to the North Forest.

Unlock this achievement by defeating the three Minibosses around the West, South and East Forests, collecting their keys and bringing them to the gate above the Garden Inn, unlocking the North Forest.

At Death's Door
Unlock the door to The Castle.

Defeat the Bridge Guard, bringing the Minibosses from earlier back to life. Defeat them a second time, unlocking their abilities, to find three more keys hidden around the West, South and East Forests. Bring said keys to the door of The Castle to break in, unlocking your next achievement.

Invincible
Win a battle with only 1 HP.

This one can be easily done by blocking against a Corrupt Deer near the start of the game, will do one damage. You will eventually be brought down to 1HP where you can easily finish it off!

Pop Champ
Win 100 Battles

Quite self-explanatory, you'll have it done by the time you finish The Dead Forest.

Coupon and On
Redeem 30 Stamps at Holly's shop.

Quite self explanatory, to speed up the process you can buy acorns and ATK+ to get coupons faster! I like to use them on Pizzas and Shields for the most part, but all items make battles easier.

Spoiled
Open 100 Gifts

After meeting the Puppet, continue to increase your gift chance throughout your playthrough, opening them at any given opportunity. They make battles a lot more fun and give cash bonuses, so keep using them and you'll get this in no time!

The Chosen One
Max out all stats and abilities in POPGOES: The Dead Forest.

With how upgrades increase in cost with every purchase, getting this achievement can take longer than it used to. For coins, the best strategy is to farm in the North Forest BEFORE fighting Dead Bonnie, using gifts to get more of a reward.

You Should Be Golden
Encounter a Gilded enemy.

Gilded enemies have a 1/120 chance of spawning in place a regular enemy except for in the North Forest where that changes to a 1/40. Farm there until you encounter one!

Fool's Gold
Escape from a Gilded enemy.

Same as the previous achievement, but you must have the strength to hit escape...

On the Plus Side
Encounter a Corrupt+ enemy.

This will be automatically obtained once you fight any forest enemy after defeating the Bridge Guard. Be careful however, as these Corrupt+ enemies pack a punch!

Leave Me Alone!
Run away from 5 enemies in a row.

This can be achieved from the very start of the game with the ability to escape now being there from the start, but it's much easier to do this after beating Dead Foxy and upgrading to the escape ability, allowing you to guarantee an escape instead of it being a chance. Simply escape 5 times in a row.

An Apple a Day
Collect every fruit in the forest.

Using Chica's upgraded jump ability, search through each forest, looking for fruits or berries on trees. Walk up to the tree and interact with it to obtain a Fruit. There are around 20~ fruits in total, so get hunting!

Okay, Now I'm Ready
Have an ATK+, DEF+ and Shield activated at the same time.

This achievement can be gotten through either using all items in a row, or gambling with Dig to get them. I'd recommend the former, but gambling with Dig is pretty fun.

B Polite, B Efficient
Complete all of BB's Hit-Lists without buying any of them.

!!!DO THIS BEFORE TURNING OFF THE RED LASERS IN EACH FOREST!!!
BB's Hit-Lists are unlocked after speaking to Sara in the Inn after defeating the Bridge Guard. He can be found standing next to all three shops in the three forests, ready to give you your tasks. He will ask you to kill 10 Common enemies, 5 Uncommon enemies and 3 Rare enemies from each forest. By using the Corruption Hotspots in each forest, this process can be sped up a lot. Just be sure to save frequently to avoid death!

Dethroned
Defeat the King of the Castle

Enter the throne room of the castle after preparing for the Final Battle. You will want all of your abilities fully upgraded for this fight with a good amount of Pizzas, ATK+ and Shields. His charge attacks will break shields however, so jump over them instead!
The beams in the background will effect the fight too. If a purple beam is present, The King will reflect your attack, dealing big damage. If a yellow beam is present, The King will take 50% extra damage. If you have a good reaction time, using them is a viable option. Good Luck!

Beastmaster
Complete The Bestiary.

Honestly, the best method for getting this achievement is moving onto the second campaign, "POPGOES and The Machinist" and buying the Bestiary pages for the gilded enemies. This will speed up the process significantly, getting you the achievement in no time! The Bestiary is very fun to read through as well so be sure to check out all new entries.

A LOT OF ACHIEVEMENTS FROM HERE ONWARD CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR SECRETS AND HIDDEN ENDINGS. TREAD CAREFULLY!

I'm Sorry I Axed
Find something in the well.

This achievement can be, achieved by interacting with the well in the South Forest 20~ times. The well is located behind a rock on the path to the shop.

In Its Code
Witness the Blackrabbit.

This begins the path to getting the secret ending of the final 1% in Popgoes: The Dead Forest. Begin by locating a fake wall in the left side of The Castle and open the chest floating on the water, containing a key. Bring the key out of the North Forest, back to the bird bath located above the Garden Inn and interact with it. This will cause a special sequence to begin where you have to locate all pieces of the Blackrabbit. There is one in the Garden, each forest, and The Castle. Note that Tunnel does not work during this. Bring each piece back to the fountain, and return to the well in the South Forest. Interact with it and head left, traversing through all the FNaF 3 Minigames until you find the Blackrabbit boss. Attack it once to get this achievement. This can be done at the same time as Out of Order.

Out of Order
Betray the soul at the last moment.

After Bonnie says "Go find your parents", attack her, triggering the jumpscare and ending the encounter.

Paranormal Inactivity
Free the soul from the arcade cabinet.

This can be done by constantly blocking or healing during the Blackrabbit encounter without attacking once. Attacking at all will cause the encounter to end. Ending this encounter will set you to bring you to 100%.

Paranormal Reactivity
Bring the soul back to the arcade cabinet

Highlight the "Tips" button on the main menu after getting the previous achievement, pressing right five times. This will highlight the axe. Then press interact five times. This will bring you back down to 99%

Happiest Day
Open a gift from someone else.

This is achieved by opening a rare gift, made less rare after beating The Machinist. Get to 100% gift chance and get to grinding!

Savior of the Forest
Beat POPGOES; The Dead Forest with 100% completion.

100% Completion is gotten through unlocking all abilities using Emeralds (If you're missing one Emerald, try chatting with Sara in the Garden Inn!), freeing Blackrabbit, completing BB's Hit-List and then defeating The King. This will get you the achievement and unlock POPGOES and The Machinist.

After clicking "Continue to POPGOES and The Machinist", POPGOES: The Dead Forest will no longer be available to play unless you reset your save file, so make sure you back it up!
With that said, why dont we move onto POPGOES and The Machinist?
Section 2: POPGOES and The Machinist
POPGOES and The Machinist contains 25/50 of the achievements found in the game.

Demolition Inevitable
Defeat a robot with x5 Overkill

This can be done in a ton of ways, from using an ATK+ and hook with high ATK, to blocking with Potential until you can do a ton of damage, to using ATK+ with a slingshotted pizza. Just get a robot to low HP and blow it away with a strong attack!

Future Shock
Encounter a Charged enemy.

Charged enemies are found everywhere underground so encountering one is hardly a challenge. Make sure you don't get hit by their charged attacks or else you'll get stunned and lose access to your abilities!

Off the Rails
Power the minecart under the Garden Inn.

Collect the three key-cards from Minibosses found in caves under the West, South and East Forests and bring them to the cave under the Garden Inn.

The Chosen 2
Max out all stats (again) in POPGOES and The Machinist

Grind Scrap in whichever way you find best, whether using the Excavation gift or farming overkills, collect all scrap on the map, kill all Scrapbots and upgrade Popgoes' stats at the Inn.

With Flying Colours
Collect all Paints.

Paints are found all throughout The Dead Forest and The Machinist, whether they're just waiting to be collected or want to put up a fight. Generally two paints are found in each forest, blocked off by zip lines, boulders and holes. If you need help finding them, I have a guide with all paint locations.

Audiophile
Purchase all songs in the Jukebox

All bosses will need to be defeated in order to get this achievement as otherwise their songs will be locked. Purchasing all songs is quite pricey, coming in at over 500~ coins, but with gifts, you can get this very easily by just grinding in the East Forest. To get this achievement, you will also need to have finished The Wishlist.

A Fine Addition
Purchase the Gold Trophy.

The Gold Trophy can be purchased at Holly's Shop for 995 coins. Farming coins in the East Forest will get you there in no time, but if you can't quite be bothered with that, you can instead melt your scrap into coins at the BB Bots after beating the Machinist.

Dataminer
Complete The Index

This requires that you fight all robots in each forest and in each cave at least once. Whether you win or not does not matter. However, you will need to face off against all bosses including The Machinist themselves in order to pull this off. Doing so will reward you with a trophy and a good amount of reading to do!

Weird Whispers
Speak to the mysterious character after completing it's puzzle.

This is an odd one. You will need to go to a shop and interact with the shelves until you figure out the correct pattern. Once you interact with all the shelves, leave the shop to speak with this strange NPC.
This can be done at all shops, with each area having multiple different bits of dialogue!

Nice Crib!
Collect all trophies and display all weapons

In order to get this achievement you must defeat all boss enemies to collect their battle trophies for your room in the Inn. You must also collect all 7 trophies and destroy the BB Bots.

Antistatic
Win a battle while stunned by a Charged robot.

This guide is quite simple to get, especially when you have max ATK. Simply lower the enemy's HP, get yourself stunned and finish them off to get this achievement!

Centurion
Defeat 100 enemies in POPGOES and The Machinist.

This achievement is one you will likely get from just playing the game. Grinding for scrap and coins will more than likely score you this achievement in no time.

Hammering It Home
Collect both mallets from the BB Bots.

After defeating The Machinist, a BB Bot will spawn in a boarded up area in each cave (Including The Machinist's lair!). After interacting with one, a BB Bot will appear, allowing you to trade 1 scrap for 10 coins, a total of 25 times. Use up all 4 BB Bots to get this achievement.

Contactless
Defeat a robot with no physical contact. Not even shields.

This can be done with either Slingshot and a few items, or Shockwave with ability recharges. You have to defeat any enemy in The Machinist without attacking it physically, or letting it attack you.

One of Everything
Open one of each Battle Gift.

Quite self-explanatory, just finish the Wishlist.

WE ARE NOW ENTERING SPOILER TERRITORY, TREAD CAREFULLY!

Scrapped
Defeat the Machinist

The Machinist is a pretty tough fight. His next attack will always be shown on the monitor behind him, having access to Jump, Hook and Dig. His hook does 150DMG, when he jumps you can attack them once before he gets into the air, and after 3 digs, he will construct a laser, doing constant damage to you like sickness until it's destroyed. Once he reaches 300HP, he will bring out Robot Manora who does a lot of damage and uses a lot of shields. Save ability recharges and shield piercers for this part of the fight, as until you take her out, the Machinist will heal 100HP per turn.
I recommend taking plenty of shields, healing items and ability recharges into the fight to ensure your victory.

Commitment Issues
Leave her hanging.

After entering the Machinist's lair and seeing Manora, try to leave the room a few times to get this achievement.

Departed
Defeat the secret boss.

The secret boss can be located after all three key cards are found in the same area Robot Foxy was found, underneath the South Forest. The fight is very tricky. The boss' hook attack will break your shield, or just one-shot you. Make use of your jump (which you will still be punished for using) and careful use of shields, healing items and ATK+ to give yourself a chance.

Unstrung
Complete the challenge.

After finishing the Wishlist, speak to the Puppet and begin the challenge. You will have to run the Puppet dry of gifts, so keep fighting him, using shield piercers and your scythe to circumvent his blocks, being careful of the music box which serves as a turn counter. Once the Puppet is out of gifts and becomes fed up with Showdown, cut his strings.

[REDACTED]
See something you weren't supposed to.

Collect three keys by talking to the Woodpecker NPCs while wearing the colour of paint that was gotten from the Paintbot in that area. West Forest is Silver, South Forest is Indigo and East Forest is Violet. This will open up a new area allowing you to collect the three keys to enter the North Forest. Enter the North Forest, ignoring the warnings until you reach The Castle. Once you reach the Throne Room, follow the tunnel system downwards and downwards until you see something you weren't supposed to.

Bane of the Machina
Beat POPGOES and The Machinist with 200% completion.

To get 200%, you must complete the Bestiary, the Index, the Jukebox, buy the Gold Trophy, have max stats, defeat the Machinist and the secret boss and see something you weren't supposed to.

What Now?
Collect all achievements.

It's just as it says. Congratulations!
Section 3: The Hard Ones
You may have noticed that I've skipped a few achievements. That's because these achievements are just really hard. Here's a few tips!

Dethroned Ultra
Defeat The King of The Castle without using any battle abilities.

I recommend bringing a large amount of shields and pizzas going into the fight as they are crucial for living through his lethal charged attacks. Continue to be careful with the lasers in the background and remember what they mean. Hitting him with a purple laser will let him reflect your attack, but a Gold gives you 50% extra DMG. The lasers are quite reactable, so going for them is definitely helpful for this achievement.
Use plenty of pizzas, shields and ATK+ to get this achievement in no time.

Scrapped Ultra
Defeat The Machinist without using any items from your inventory.

This one isn't too tricky as you can still use ability recharges and items from Dig. Continue to jump over his hook and use your ability recharges to use your hook and dig, saving shield piercers for Manora.

Departed Ultra
Defeat the secret boss without jumping once.

Despite this boss's charged attack going through shields, I still recommend using them to decrease the damage the hook does. Pizzas and ATK+ buffs are necessary for this achievement as this boss has a lot of health and does a lot of damage even with a shield active, so stock up well before attempting this. Use hook with ability recharges to deal huge damage and with enough strategy and skill, the boss should be over in no time!

Unstrung Ultra
Complete the challenge without using the Hook battle ability.

This achievement relies on quite of lot of chance, which suits the character. Go in with plenty of ATK+, a handful of shields, a few pizzas and as many shield piercers as you can manage. Without scythe, shield piercers are needed to get aroud the Puppet's block as you will not have turns to waste. Be sure to ace the Strung Up attack too, letting the Puppet get more gifts can be catastrophic, especially if he gets something like Tedium or even Sickness. You can still use Jump and Dig, so if you're in a pinch they can be very helpful. After getting to the showdown phase however, the fight is more or less done.

Section 4: Outro
Hope this guide was in any way helpful to you! Huge thank you to Kane Carter and the rest of the Popgoes team for creating such a wonderful experience and I can't wait for whatever they have in store for the future!
If you have any questions or suggestions for the guide just leave them down in the comments and I'll be sure to check them all out.
Thank you all for reading and I'll see you all later! Happy Achievement Hunting!

You can re-fight him, the Machinist and Dead King Freddy in the Bestiary / Index!
SuperTiger11 Jul 9 @ 2:06pm
So, I have a question. I've heard from Kane, the creator of POPGOES ARCADE, stated in a live stream with TheGameSalmon, that once you beat the Puppet, he permanently vanishes. Even when you start a new game, he's no longer there. Unless I'm missing something, wouldn't that mean that the "Unstrung Ultra" achievement be impossible to get if you had already beat him?

Guide has been updated, let me know if anything is incorrect etc
