Gacha Got Ya

The intent of this guide is to help anyone quickly obtain the Gacha Got Ya achievement.

Overview

This is a guide for the tamagotchi (eyeballie) minigame. Listed below are the stats you need to choose to get each child and adult-type eyeballie. In the section under it, all of the questions and answers that can be asked are listed with their appropriate stat allocations.

I suggest you go after the “Gacha Got Ya” achievement after you have fully completed the game and have loaded the auto save after the final cutscene. You will get access to 0 time questions so that you don’t have to wait the 20 minutes normally required between questions.

I believe that Pewter is Loving + Crazy & Mama is Impish + Brave & the error is a typo in the in-game manual.

I followed Clarissa's Guide to get Pewter-ie it worked the first time! So I guess 2 Impish/1 Loving as infant and then all loving is the way!

Yeah, that one is apparently a bit weird or bugged. Try reading Clarissa's comment below you and see if anything they said works for you. I honestly am not too sure how it works myself.

Just want to say that no matter what I do, I can't seem to get Pewter, I tried both loving + impish AND brave + crazy, both give mama for me. It's the only eyeball-ie i need left and it's super annoying.

I might have to do a mix of these and see if I can get him.

I could only get Pewter-ie by answering 2 Impish/1 Loving as infant to get Ota, and then straight Loving as Ota for like 5 or 6 questions. Trying to balance Loving/Impish like I did for other evolutions repeatedly did not work. Is it possible evolution isn't triggered by highest values after a certain number of questions, but rather by meeting some threshold with one or more stats? What if evo into Pewter is triggered by Loving > x, but evo into Mama is triggered by Impish > y? Getting Impish too high would therefore trigger Mama evo first, consistent with my observations. I don't really care enough to test further, but it's something to think about.

As a follow up as an experiment I tried the reverse, rather than aim for trying to make a Pewter with Loving and Impish, I aimed towards a Mama with Brave and Crazy... and I got Pewter instead. Convinced this a bug now

That's very odd. If it helps, when I tested it again, my Ota-ie had 11 Brave, 17 Loving, 17 Impish, and 9 Crazy. Maybe the brave value has to be higher or something?

I can confirm that what happened with Yinyanfooey happened with me just now. My Ota-ie has 9 Brave and Crazy, 17 Loving and 19 Impish and I still got Mama even though the points to normally get her were my lowest ones. Could be a potential bug of the game
