How to use laser and flashlight without attachments wheel quickly and conviniently.
By mikta
For some reason Ground Branch suggests you to activate lights and lasers with god-awful attachments wheel which doesn't allow you to switch attachments on and off on the fly. This guide will help you to fix that.

Introduction (skip this if you want)
As of version 1032 the Ground Branch forces player to use clanky attachments wheel for switching on and off lasers anb lights on their weapons. The said attachments wheel suffers from the same issue as context menu from Battlefield 3 (the one where you can ask for ammo and stuff) e.g. it works as it was made for gamepad stick. Now there are two scenarios:

a) You turn on everything you need at the beginning of the round and keep it like this till the end of it. This will break immersion since you are not supposed to leave on something that actively telegraphs your location to enemies like flashlight or laser. (In GB setting it matters only for PvP since bots are not yet able to spot your light or laser)

b) You follow light and IR discipline via turning things on only for a time you need them. This will ruin your gameplay rythm since you'll have to stumble every time you use attachments wheel.

After reading this guide, setting up your keybinds and getting accustomed to them you'll never have to use attachments wheel again. Also, I'd like to excuse in advance for screenshots quality since I'm stuck with 768p monitor in 2022.
Prerequisites
Without attachments wheel you'll have to toggle light and laser via double tapping certain keys (also you can hold button to keep them on). By default interval between presses so that input is considered double click is too short. Proceed to:

Settings -> Controls -> Put checkmark next to Advanced options -> Set Double-Click Time to maximum

Movement
Once you've changed double click interval it's time to setup keybinds. First we need to remap some movement keys to avoid conflicts between keybinds.

Jump / Climb (Hold): [B.], because you don't use climbing too often
Sprint / Steady Aim (ADS): [Caps Lock]

Not being able to use Freelook while running is kinda immersion breaking so, consider this as well:
Freelook: [LAlt]

Weapon Attachments
Here our goal is to allow us to run and gun while effortlessly operating our weapon attachments. Thus we need to choose such keybinds so that we never lose ability to move character in any direction or interact with doors.

Attachments Wheel: none
Tac Light / Illuminator *: [Space]
Laser: [LCtrl]
Toggle Laser Mode (Visible / IR): [Middle Mouse Button]

Radio (VOIP): button of choice (since we've previously assigned it's default button to Jump / Climb (Hold))

* Please note that as of version 1033, there is no ability to assign seperate keybinds to weapon light and IR illuminator. Hence given key will turn on both of them even under nightvision when you don't need a visible light.

Closing notes
You are set. Now you can larp in PvE following IR and light discipline even if bots don't care.

Feel free to point out mistakes in this guide. If there is some conflict with default keybinds that I didn't resolve or be it grammar or spelling mistake let me know.

Thank you for reading. I hope this guide was helpful.
