Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the next thing to close the gap between SFM and Blender!

hisanimations' TF2 Collection for Blender!

A public resource available to everyone! This features:
-Every TF2 weapon
-Every cosmetic in TF2
-Every item in folders that begin with prop_

Each one of these use BVLG, and can be changed to support LIGHTWARPS! You can see how to do in the images attached:

first, find the VertexLitGeneric node in a material

select it and press tab on it

change tf2combined-cycles to tf2combined-eevee

and add a lightwarp as seen. CHANGE THE COLOR SPACE TO NON-COLOR! i didn't do it at this moment as i forgot, but it must non-color.

To make them available as assets, you need to:
Download the entire folder and put it somewhere
Go to File Paths in preferences
At the bottom should be a place to add asset libraries, with a plus sign
Add every individual folder under TF2 Collection
(i am on my phone at the time of writing this, so idk if all this is correct)

After doing all that, most of the models in TF2 will be available at your disposal.

Now for the warnings, and things to notice.

You need ~5.25GB of available space.

There are well over 20,000 objects in this entire collection, and I HEAVILY recommend you putting these on an SSD if you have one

Blender will use most of your CPU when indexing through the All-class items and props_. Those with low-end PCs, be warned.

My renaming script is not 100% accurate, there are items that are yet to be renamed. If you find an item without its given name, please report it to me and it will be corrected

SourceIO is recommended to switch teams. However, you can do it manually by selecting all faces in edit mode of the red team's color and assigning them to the blue team's color.

Even though I haven't used this, THIS IS AMAZING! I strongly prefer and recommend Blender over TF2 so this is SO GREAT!
