Horizon Vibes - FH5 Soundtrack Overhaul Mod

Originally made as a playlist we made to improve our personal experience playing Horizon 5, this mod completely overhauls the soundtrack of the game. The idea is to echo the original "inspired by Coachella/Tomorrowland" music festival vibe established by Horizon 1 and 2, improving from what we think is a really subpar vanilla tracklist.

Besides the intro and Expedition songs, every single track has been swapped out for a new one, with hits from Steve Aoki, Roosevelt, Pendulum, Bring Me The Horizon, FM-84, and more covering all 6 radio stations. In addition, Hospital Records Radio no longer covers solely the artists of the label (we nicknamed "Horizon Liquidity"), and Radio Eterna has been converted to something that echoes the sound of Horizon 3's Future Classic Radio (we nicknamed "Horizon Aftertouch").

The Tracklist

Like mentioned, the idea is to echo the vibes of an actual music festival the first two Forza Horizon games presented. From party bangers to soothing indie tunes, there's likely something in the tracklist you'll enjoy hearing.

The following sections show the complete tracklist of the mod at the moment - the current version is 1.6-2 and updates will come if we feel like updating it (or if we definitely need to do so (for instance compatibility with the Series 9 changes), though at this point we feel that the soundtrack is complete.

1. Make sure to backup the following files:

2. Drag and drop the contents of the media folder in your Forza Horizon 5 directory - everything should be replaced accordingly.

3. Boot up the game and exit your House/Festival Site. Switch to any of the radio stations and the new music should be playing.

Options

1. NO LOOPS
Tired of songs looping during races, especially when you're doing your 50th run of The Marathon? We gotcha covered - with this option, that loop has been disabled, and the DJs will play the next track in races like they would in freeroam.

Installation: Drag and drop the .xml file to (your directory)\ForzaHorizon5\media\Audio

2. ALL SONGS IN ONE STATION
With this option, every single song from every single radio station gets squeezed into a single, all-in-one station. This replaces Radio Eterna, so if you still have radio DJs enabled, you'll probably hear Dolores chime in every now and then - I recommend disabling radio DJs if you want to play with this option.

This option 100% works when connected to the internet, no need to cut that cable to experience the mod anymore in case Playground decides to implement server-side file checks again!

Installation: Drag and drop the .xml file to (your directory)\ForzaHorizon5\media\Audio

Bugs and glitches:

• In place of Radio Eterna's station icon is a white rectangle. This is intentional in order for the mod to work online!
  
• While you can correctly preview songs while looking through the EventLab/Super7 menu, the song will only play correctly in Super7 events; EventLab events will play any random song from the station.
  
• As it replaces Radio Eterna, when driving through a Festival Site/Outpost the audio EQ will not adjust to the location.

Known Issues, Bugs, and Glitches

1. Sometimes the songs might not loop properly - I tried my best lining all the timings up.

2. This has only been tested in the ENGLISH language version of the game, other languages may have additional bugs

3. The last or second to the last song in a station's song list in EventLab/Super7 won't preview properly; not sure what's causing the bug but the song itself should still play properly outside of it

4. Some songs in Bass Arena and XS might not play from the beginning when just randomly shuffling in freeroam

5. When in Streamer Mode, the song names and timings may be incorrect. Though let's be real, if you're using the mod, are you really gonna be bothered with YouTube copyright?

Hey , you made a great job! Awesome music selection! It really gives game a second wind. But i had a question, is it still safe/unsafe to use this mod? i read your appeal in nexus mod to pg games, but I didn’t understand it clearly
