[Mod] Subnautica multiplayer

A small guide to help you install the Nitrox Mod. Nitrox is an open-source, multiplayer modification for the game Subnautica.

Information

First of all, I would like to disclose that I am not related to the creation of the project. This project came along by the community and it was made as an open-source modification for the game.

Download

You may head over to the Official website[nitrox.rux.gg] and click on the "Download for free" button and then the "Start Download" button and the file should start download. Or click on the direct download link here.[nitrox.rux.gg]

Instalation

Right after you obtain the .zip file from the previous step extract it on the location you would like to keep your mod installed. It should look like the picture on the right.
Running the NitroxLauncher.exe as an administrator will lunch the Launcher.
Usually, the launcher finds the game install location on its own and just clicks "PLAY Multiplayer" which should work just fine. If for any reason you don't see this option you can click on the Options button on the bottom right of the launcher.

Now you can simply navigate to the installation directory and click "Select Folder" to confirm the location. Now the game should be able to work just fine.

Ok so 2 questions, can we get these fuckers who keep copypasting the same "oh no so scary" bs story removed from here, and is this the right directory? C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica

having the same issue as qie2iqee and it already chose the directory and says the other files are invalid

@qie2iqee You don't have to keep it in your nexus mods location you can keep it even on your desktop if you want what you need to do is change the directory within the app. Keep in mind you will need to run the NitroxLauncher.exe as an administrator though!

when i click the multiplayer button it just says "error while starting in multiplayer mode"

im confused on where to extract the files to so i jjst extracted it to where i kept my nexus mods. doesnt work. can someone tell me if i should just keep the mod in downloads?

robokot, It should still work, but it might have conflicts. Make sure the pirate copy version is the same as the most recent, but it should still work.
