Thirdperson Over the Shoulder Mod

Description
READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO USE THIS ONLINE
If you want to use this mod online, you need to FIRST START A MAP LOCALLY, on SOLO mode or listen server, and without restarting the game, exit the map and go online where you want. I don't know how to solve this as it is a problem of all mods that use Vslib. You need to do this EVERY TIME YOU RESTART THE GAME

Reupload to Workshop of original Claucker third-person mod, and now mantained again

https://www.gamemaps.com/details/19498

FEATURES
- Automates third person with a button
- Can change between left and right shoulder
- Third Person positions values customized for every survivor
- Optional different angles for camera while walking and running
- Shotgun sound on third person fixed, for ALL shotguns, custom included
- AIM FIX** on local host/solo player, bullets hit where the crosshair points (no matter if is visible or not)

MENU SECTION TO BIND KEYS OPTIONAL AND COMPATIBLE:

https://www.gamemaps.com/details/19499

You can bind and use 'thirdpersonshoulder' command as usual and this mod be applied automatically with the standard RE6 camera (offline and online, if server allows it)

Alternativelly, you can bind any key to 'THIRDPERSONRE6' to use standard RE6 camera if you use the following camera modes and want to switch between them

bind any key to +tpsrun to see crosshair and change the camera to a lower angle while you are pressing the button (similar when running on RE 6)

bind any key to +tpsfocus to see crosshair, change the speed to walk and the camera to a closer angle (similar to RE 6 walk+shoot)

bind any key to 'ToggleViewTPS' command to change between left and right shoulder

If you want to see the crosshair all the time, write 'crosshair 1' on console or add to autoexec.cfg

If you want to adjust aim by yourself playing online when you aren't the host, write on console 'c_thirdpersonshoulderaimdist XXXX', without quotations and using a XXXX value from 500 to 2000. 720 is usually the best value, and the most used for people who are on third person.

NEW- Sourcemod alternative for auto-aim (only Listen Server or Solo too):

Also, a while back I made this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2870618661

It is a better version of the current mod and it doesn't use the VSLib, so Admin System, or any other VSLib mods won't conflict with it

I was planning on splitting the mod into pieces so you could have whatever you liked in a way that if you could have them all together to make the whole thing work too.

Anyway, sorry for the twitchy camera, I didn't had that much experience modding left 4 dead 2, I had to learn by myself and I thought I I got good at it lol

Some day, maybe. There's a chance.

I'm gona add a button so you guys can disable or enable the aim.

Not, now or in the next days, but, eventually.
It's kinda hard keeping track of this and sometimes not even worth it as people tend to just steal the code anyway.

my code creates the thrid person views and commands at the first local host game you create, after that you can disable it and it will still work, for the cameras and such. Now, for the flickery aim it will only work if you have the mod enabled and you have to be the host of the game.

Here are all the mods I mentioned in my last message: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2814368964 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2814579226&searchtext=over+shoulder https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=438477513

I just tested them, so apparently this 1st mod when installed has that annoying twitching aim assist. You have to subscribe to it every time you exit and open the game because the game doesn't register it unlike when you subscribe, open the game and then unsubscribe. What happens to the 1st mod when unsubscribing while running L4D2 (without ever exiting L4D2) is that you are able to get rid of twitching while keeping every other function of the mod working a.k.a the 3rd person view which is the main reason for installing it in the first place. I will let you know, if I ever find a permament solution or a work-around.

Here's how to fix snapping, twitching, flickering in 3rd person. Sub to this mod, to menu hud shoulder options mod, 3ps third person mod and then after put different keybinds for everything in both shoulder hud and 3ps third person after that unsub from this one and then you will get 3rd person without that buggy snapping twitching flickering annoying thing. That fixed it for me, though you will have to manually go back to the same exact 3rd person view you had beforehand every time you die/start campaign. (not incapp, but literally get your character killed) It also in combo with 3ps gives you more 3rd person options, not unlimited, but a lot more. I don't know if you have to subscribe to this everytime you start campaign or will it work without it. I will test it and comment down here again to let you know.

Having a weird issue where the aim keeps snapping left or right whenever I move my mouse
I STAPLE TAPEWORMS ON MY 22 févr. à 20h36
this spams the console with "*FUNCTION [unknown()] scripts/vscripts/VSLib/EasyLogic.nut line [5603]" and then hard crashes the game
