CS 1.6 | Install a Full Colored Custom Spray via Dropbox Link

Here you will learn how to install your spray from the link I have personally given you.

Before You Begin

When editing files in any program, the program itself should never be running.

Make sure Counter-Strike 1.6 is completely closed.
Trust me, make sure it's closed.
Not just disconnected from a server.

CLOSED.

Open the Link

Click on the link that I have provided you.
The link will take you to your own personal Dropbox folder where I will store any future sprays that you request.
The title or folder name should be your username.
If you have only requested for one spray, there will only be one Spray Folder to choose from.

Open the Spray Folder

Open the folder that has the spray you want.
There should be two previews of your spray that appear.

• One of the original file that was used to make the spray.
  
• The other is what your spray will look like in game.

Don't worry about that though.
The tempdecal.wad file is the only file we should be concerned about right now.

Download tempdecal.wad

Click on the tempdecal.wad file
You will be directed to a page that gives you the options to either "Download" or "Save to my Dropox"
Click Download.



The file should appear on the bottom of your screen.
If it is not, you need to locate your default "Downloads" folder for the browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) you are currently using.



Click on the arrow and open it in it's folder location, the "Downloads" folder.

Moving the File

Right click on the tempdecal.wad file and press Cut



Next you need to cut and paste the tempdecal.wad file to your "cstrike" folder.
This can be found at:
Steam > SteamApps > common > Half-Life > cstrike
Right click anywhere in the folder and paste the file.


It will ask you "Are you sure you want to replace the file"
Click Move and Replace.
Don't worry. Nothing bad will happen by deleting the original tempdecal.wad file.



If the prompt window warning you about overwriting/replacing a file with the same name doesn't show up, then either your original tempdecal.wad file is missing, you're in the wrong folder, or you renamed the tempdecal.wad file that you downloaded to something else which you shouldn't have.

File Properties

Right click and go to properties.


Here you need to set your file to read only.


On my computer there's an option to unblock the file. I tried it without unblocking it and it worked fine. Either option you choose, it should work fine.
**If the spray doesn't work when you have it blocked, try unblocking it.
Unblocking it won't harm your computer.**
But the file has to be set to "read only." So make sure you check that box.

This is what it should look like. Hit "OK" when you are finished.

Remember..

Remember, selecting a spray from the "Options" menu in the game may overwrite your tempdecal.wad spray.
If this happens, you have to install the spray all over again.

Now all you have to do is connect to a server, run up to a wall or look down at the floor and push "T" to use your spray.
