I would ad something improtant IMO, thought : Understand that this game has a not common mechanic which is that damage drop with distance. And precision ofc, but it is more common.
Which mean if with an assault, you engage a medic which is 50 meter away ; you'll basically deal 0 damage while he'll 3 tap you with no effort.
But at the contrary, if you roam the trenches with your "Automatico Trench", everyone appearing at 15 meter or less will disappear as fast as he appeared !
So... RESPECT YOUR RANGE OF ENGEMENT DEPENDING YOUR CLASS/WEAPON. More than other FPS, or even other BF, BF1 is about knowing the field of possible actions regarding what weapon you have.
We can also underline the mechanic of "sweet spot" for snipers rifle ; which illustrate well this principle IMO.
