Warning! This can destroy maps!
These methods are not intended by the developer and have a chance to corrupt your map files!

If your map file becomes corrupted it will load a blank map as if you started a fresh map, back up your maps and save often!
Breaking the DAM
First and foremost I want to say thank you for everyone who has commented, awarded and liked and subscribed to my Youtube channel! You guys are amazing!

Secondly I want to apologize, I try to keep my videos quick and straight to the point to avoid too much unnecessary dialogue since I myself hate looking for a tutorial video only to find someone taking 5 minutes to get to the point and constantly stopping to talk about unrelated topics.

However, in doing so I did jump through a lot of basic steps that I "assumed" made themselves obvious but were quiet unclear and can make these guides confusing and its completely understandable. So I made this basic tutorial video called "Breaking the .DAM" that goes over the absolute basics of .DAM editing. This should clear up any questions about finding object IDs or identifying what object you're working with. Please watch this video before continuing to move forward or if you have already watched my other videos and are still confused.

Enlarging Items and Merging
Here is a youtube video I made that shows how you can edit the .DAM file to enlarge items to be extremely large(or small) and also merge multiple items together.

Rooms on different planes
This video is a quick tutorial on how to raise and lower rooms so you can have different rooms on different planes.

Whats to come...
As I explore more into editing the .DAM file I'll post more tutorials here, I have plenty more ideas and I think a lot more can be done!

@TalugaKnight

This guide was made before DA added the ability to change room height, back in the day this was the only way to do it but now this guide is outdated.

If you just change the room height in notepad before making the room, it'll not only make the room at the height you want, but also build the terrain to match (so there isn't an ugly hole to fill), and the room will still be able to be edited like a normal room. Change the room height again for your next room to whatever setting you want and the new room will be at the new height. If you want to edit the other room (add props, doors, windows, etc.) without hiccups, just put the room height at the same setting as the room you want to edit. Saves a lot of time and hassle by setting the room height before building the rooms. Keeps things looking way better too.

As helpful as this video was. I would love for their to just be a ignore other objects setting similar to the sims4 bb.moveeditobjects. being able to hold the item and then move it up and down with [,] is so helpful. I don't know how hard it would be to enact, but if the program can handle .dam file edits, there has to be a way to make it real time.
